A slight chuckle escapes the man's lips.  "Hmm~  You know, dearest Lotti, they may need a trimming of numbers by this point.  I suppose as long as we don't press any unmarked buttons with that slip of the wrist it will be fine~!"

    "Perhaps they can’t help but realize their mistake each time, hmm?"

    Fingers trail gently along the hem of his coat, nigh playful despite the topic which they both utter. "Quarrel or not, I can’t find myself appreciating such a cruel joke! Though, I have to wonder… do you think taking a visit to speak with them is wiiise? After all, I might have an accidental slip of this wrist of mine!

    Next thing you know, they might all be dropping dead!♥”

"Oh~?" A slight chuckle left the white haired man's mouth. "This coming from someone who chose to stay."  He had left--though he couldn't particularly remember why.  It felt like he had a duty to fulfill back home, but he couldn't remember what it was.

The woman before him, however, he remembered clearly.  Her comment about everyone leaving, especially after he just had, tugged at him. "I would say it's a pleasure to see you again, but, well~"

"Honestly? I don’t see why anyone would find such a shabby city as this precious…. not even the people here are that special, simply a crowd full of strangers you could find in any other place! Something as that isn’t really worth getting attached to when they’ll just leave like they usually do."

I'm amazed you don't have a job yet~  A library just opened up though, hasn't it?

"Hmm..." Arms slip around the man from behind, but he didn't even need to think to know who they belonged to. "Honestly I'm surprised they keep bringing me back.  Perhaps they're having a quarrel~  We should have a talk with the one that keeps sending me away, neh?

It would be quite a shame if you were left here too long without me, wouldn't it?"

"You know," she coos whilst arms wrap themselves from behind the other, vocables sickeningly sweet as she gives a tender squeeze. "You should reeeally stop disappearing like that, Hatter… in fact, you’ll end up leaving me all alone one day if you keep this up!

Do try to stick around this time, won’t you?”

"It feels like someone just got a Christmas gift directed towards me... My, my, good thing I don't have a job here~" And so he casually applied to wherever Reim works.

A man stood outside of the 'greeting room', for lack of a better word, in sector oo1.  He had left.  The scientists had sent him home.  They wiped his memories and sent him back to the same point in his life that they had taken him from.

From Break's perspective, it felt like he had been out of the city for a long while.  So much had happened back home, but the memories from this city, the memories that had just been returned, made the drama from home even worse.

A sigh slipped through the white haired man's lips.  At least his memories weren't fuzzy this time.  At least he wasn't as confused and distraught as he was last time he was here.  He knew exactly what the scientists meant when they said he would be living in Lotti's house.  The problem now became finding it.

"Emily~ You wouldn't happen to know where the houses in this sector are located, would you~?"  A blind man versus sector oo1. It seemed like now would be a good time to make a slight scene.

"Kekekeke, how would I know that, stupid?!" The doll on the man's shoulder responded in it's high pitched voice.  The man sighed again. "Now, now, Emily, if I have to sleep on the streets you do too you know~  I wonder how good of a pillow you'd be..."

Ah, yes.  Quite unfortunate, isn't it~?  It feels as if I've been stranded here for years~

"Xerxes Break?! You’re here, too?!"

[ The scientists were able to kidnap him?! The strongest man in Pandora?! Not that it diminished Elliot’s respect for him in the slightest. ]

Oh, what a warm welcome!

I suppose I should be honored that even a sewer rat will come check up on me and make sure I'm still breathing~

Ugh, it seems the enjoyable time without the walking corpse was over.

My my, where has the time gone~?  It feels like I've just woken from a coma~

Vincent might not be in the mood for fake smiles, but Break's happy to continue the tradition.  Especially if it irks the other, even if only a little.

"Now now, Vincent, underestimating your elders can be quite a dire mistake.  We can be much sturdier than you'd ever imagine~"  The white haired man laughed and opened his singular red eye to look directly at the blond man.  The displeasure the other showed only amused Break further. "Oh?  Now why would pest control bother themselves with the old when they have rats and bugs to kill~?"

Not in the mood to fake him a smile.

“I figured you had counted your days since you are just too old to keep yourself together anymore.” Vincent simply continued to glance at the blind man with a gesture of displeasure to his comment. “Oh but they should try by taking away the old ones, don’t you agree with me?”

"I suppose that depends~  If the company is too young and agile I might break a bone trying to keep up.  Unfortunately only the old are capable of accompanying the old~"

The playful jab caused another chuckle to escape the man's lips just as the girl finished poking at his cheeks.  Break did you just call your girlfriend old you just called your girlfriend old wow rude.

"Oh my my, that would be a shame wouldn't it~?" Another small laugh.  "Fortunately my second choice wouldn't have stained too badly; If I'm not mistaken I believe frosting washes out quite nicely."

“Even an old man is in need of some company, no?”

The teasing tone was obvious from the start, accented only by her index poking at his cheek a few times. And an obvious answer had been received, much to her delight. Demure features gave way to the disturbing joke she muttered, the earlier finger prodding at his cheek trailing gently along his chin. ”Is that so? I’m certainly glad it was nobody else, then. It would be a shame to get blood all over these clothes while eliminating the competition, you know.“

"Hm... Spin the bottle~?"  The man laughed.  He wasn't sure what that game involved, but whacking things definitely wasn't involved in most balls he attended.  "Is this the kind of ball that the scientists are throwing...?"

“I hope so! It’ll be kind of sad if no one wants to whack things, or play spin the bottle or anything!”

┌She definitely had the wrong idea for the party, but she was definitely going to try none the less.┘

The man let out a light chuckle as the pink haired woman leaned upon him.  He only smiled down at her as he brought his hands to rest on her back.  "Oh, of course, of course~  As long as you still don't mind sharing with such an old man~"  Another chuckle, and a shrug at her last question.  "Hmm~  Well, I did have plans to go with someone." And a slight pause " But it seems the person I was going to ask beat me to it~"

Don’t mind those arms just curling their way around yours, it’s only so she can pull herself against you gently. ” You will share some with me, I hope, “ she lulled, balancing on the back of her heels while using him as a way to keep herself stable.

“ … unless you already have plans with another? “

wasn’t he blind all along since the beginning of the series but never stated? I’m kinda lost but also very tired so I might be just forgetting the exact moment omg

He goes blind right before the Isla Yura arc!  Though from my understanding it was a deterioration of sight so I think his sight has been bad since the beginning of the series, but it didn't become bad enough for him not to be able to make things out until that moment.

since a lot of the pandora hearts cast is on rn I should probably note a thing

Since I'm basically continuing off from Break being in Citta during it's last run through, and I took him from an earlier point in the manga, my Break is not caught up with current events!

He has been taken from right before / during / w/e him stopping Gilbert from trying to kill Zai at Sablier or ... something.  That is to say, right before he went blind!
