The "Upon Teapot" by Nikolo Kerimov
The main idea behind Upon-tea pot was to make/transform preparing and serving tea primarily to a visual experience. Inspiration was also sought from the origins of tea – the mountain landscapes where clouds almost seem like made of tea/rain tea. Upon also beautifully refracts light between the three different materials.

"Ci wara" headdresses from Mali are among the most widely known and admired of all African art forms and their characteristic elegant abstraction is valued both in Bamana society and the West. The term "ci wara" encompasses several distinct but related performative genres. Among the Bamana, the invention of agriculture and the understanding of earth, animals, and plants were at one time attributed to a mythical culture hero named Ci Wara. In the nineteenth and early twentieth century, this knowledge was shared among members of a men's agricultural association, also called "ci wara". Ceremonial dances performed by "ci wara" members celebrate the skills of successful farmers as well as the benevolence of Ci Wara's gift of agriculture to humanity. The outstanding feature of "ci wara" dances was the performance of a pair of gracefully designed, sculpted headdresses in the form of antelopes.

HUNPING(魂瓶)
The purpose of a hunping is somewhat enigmatic, but archaeologists suggest that they may have been used as containers for fruit accompanying the deceased into the afterlife.
This magnificent example with olive-green celadon glaze covering the body possesses an extraordinarily rich assortment of modeled figures and architecture in a well-proportioned, tiered arrangement. Of particular interest is the row of Buddhas sitting in meditative postures on lion thrones with lotus petals around the waist of the vessel. These are among the earliest Buddhist images known in China.

Square Word Calligraphy
Xu Bing (born 1955)
In the early 1990s, Xu began to develop a system for writing English called “square word calligraphy,” which organizes the letters of each English word into structures that resemble Chinese characters. One consequence of his project is that non-Chinese speakers can understand how Chinese characters are similarly composed of discrete phonetic and lexigraphic components.

Qajar portraiture
The Qajar Epoch 1785-1925.
advent of Islam in 641 A.D., the figural tradition continued in small-scale book illustration, metalwork, and ceramics.During the Qajar regime, a long dormant tradition of figural wall painting reemerged. Iran's interaction with the West also intensified, and Qajar painting was reinvigorated by European painting conventions. The major themes of Qajar painting-royalty, women, and religious subjects-vividly reflect the critical political and social changes that occurred during the era.
