Staring into the ceiling in the middle of the night, Tango lie still on his bed. The events of the weekend went over his mind in flashes, moments replaying and overlapping until his brain felt like a mix of colors and sounds, too bright behind and too loud in his memory to want to close his eyes, but too clear against the backdrop of his dark room. The fury and fire from earlier had settled into something more akin to lava: a deep pit of shame-- boiling and bubbling, deep in his core. If only he’d held back. What if instead of breaking, he’d gone faster. Should he have held back less? Lost all restraint? And if only he’d avoided the curb, avoided the other drivers, avoided placing so low in the qualifying-

i have a bit that i could share … hehe.. ok so i realize for a ranchers!au i haven’t posted many snippets of them actually interacting.. please have faith 🙏 just for u anon, i shall post a wip soon!!! (if i forget please remind me..)

and to share my opinions: i have gone through every single emotion imaginable in the last 24 hours 😭💔 i said a lot on twitter so im copy-and-paste-ing a bit but;

im devastated of course (partially because id hate to see his season end so soon, and because he was genuinely trying) but i adore how stubborn he is with choosing to do the “right” thing, if that makes sense. it comes out very prominently in this session, with tango not wanting to take the “dirty” kills (via pvp, or continuing w someone after trying once already) and is very adamant about trapping. he never really wanted to kill his allies (which was unfortunate because. that didn’t leave many options). he also refused most of the help from others, despite MANY people being willing to lend him a hand (maybe to save their own ass but also because they care?). he was cautious, which kinda worked against him but seemed like he didn’t want collateral damage in the form of other deaths…

he genuinely tried and even though he failed, i think the episode highlights some of the best of tango. he’s a stubborn, but good guy, and he’s keeping his morals (maybe not his lives and his ego tho..) after this at least!!! he. is undeniably a pathetic boyfailure, which is why we love him, but he’s stubborn. i am holding out hope. i’m just praying there’s a way for him to get his lives back and that the red life won’t force him into isolation…

apologies for the word vomit! thinking about tango does that to a guy <3 thank you for ur kind words abt the au and sorry for being mostly tango centric in my rambling lol (i havent seen jimmy’s pov yet💔)
