So uh... A few days ago I posted about an idea of an Undertale AU (I will expand it), and guess what?

Turns out I just made another StoryShift AU. I have seen AUs with royal skelly-bros and commoners Asgore and Toriel, so I had the idea to make my own. I stumbled across the OG (I think) StoryShift (with Chara as the judge and Papyrus as Toriel) a few days after posting my first draft.

Gonna say, it is extremely funny. There are several StoryShift type of AUs, one of them is made by the original creator of UnderSwap (it's really nice, it takes groups of 4 and swaps them, so we get Royal Scientist Asgore, Royal Guard Toriel and Old Women Yuri in the form of Queens Undyne and Alphys. I think it never went beyond the idea point).

Nobody is judging me (yet...) and the realization came to me by itself, but I wanted to do something different, and now that idea is only stronger. There is a saying that two people do not see the same colour the same way, and I believe it to be the same for characters. I will continue working on my AU, but I will not copy other StoryShifts. Any similarities are pure accidents.

Also, I very much like the swap of Sans and Toriel. We still get the Soriel jokes duo, but thinking about the angst of Toriel not being able to save the humans right before their meeting with the king and how much the Ruins suit Sans, with him chilling in the leaves with Froggits and Whimsuns, is kinda therapeutic.

Farewell online privacy

Toriel takes the role of The Judge. When Crown Prince Papyrus announces about his plan with the human souls, she is actively opposing him.

Toriel tries to start a movement against this decision, but the love for the Crown Brothers and the desire to reach the surface in monsters are greater than their morality. Just 7 humans have to die, and their suffering will be no more. A small price to pay, no?

Muffet was a part of the campaign and even sponsored it, but after the movement died she stopped being active. She still carries the flyers.

Asgore took Papyrus' side, and that led to the divorce of the Dreamurrs. They live in the same house, just for Asriel to have a family. Seperate rooms.

Toriel became The Judge after her campaign failed, in hopes of "failing" her duties and letting the humans escape. But as things went by... She met all the humans and couldn't, just couldn't save them. (Not in order:)

Bravery convinced her they would be safe and that she has to stay brave, no matter the outcome.

Justice ignored Toriel and scolded her for clear bias. She's the Judge, she cannot be biased.

Integrity said they would not be judged, as they know what is right, and ran past Toriel.

Patience waited for Toriel to break down, and passed her, when she was unable to stop them (a reference to "At my most vulnerable").

Kindness told with a smile that they understand monsters and want to help them. No matter how hard Toriel objected, they wouldn't budge. They passed.

Perseverance was sure they would convince Papyrus to change his ways. They were the 2nd human and Toriel let them through, praying for their success. They failed.

I plan to make notes that tell of each human. Inside Tori's journal.

Additional pairings;

Flowey&Temmie swap with Gerson&BunnyLady.

Gerson is an unhinged little turtle that 'guides' Chara. He complains about his age, and stays true to old ways, AKA he's stuck in the human-monster war. Or, he's just Flowey if he was a boomer. BunnyLady is a hopping bunny, likely on drugs, buying junk from every passer buy and selling Cinnabuns.

Flowey is now the soulless Frisk. Right before death, Frisk absorbed Monster Kid's soul and became a monster, losing theirs in the process. They became a golden flower, watching over the kingdom they loved once. They hang out with Asgore and listen about his strong willed wife and reckless son. They stay in Waterfall, selling what they find across the land and telling of simpler times. They cannot muster up the courage to stop Papyrus, because part of them believes in what he does. Temmie is a nice shopkeeper in Snowdin. You can buy some... Exiting powders from her. Her business partner Bob owns the nearby inn.

Toriel will not stop Chara during genocide, making her decision; Chara must die. If they defeat Papyrus, Toriel will watch them, waiting for a reset. Toriel will talk to you and try to keep you alive in the Judgment Hall on neutral, and will have a boss fight on Pacifist.

Her fights are reversed because the better you are, the more she wants to protect you. She won't kill Chara, and when Chara is at 3 HP she will take her back to Snowdin.

Gonna write down a draft for Undertale AU I plan to expand; CoupleSwapTale.

Basically, I rounded all characters into pairs (not ships, the pairs are usually used in normal SwapTale) and the swapped them.

Sans & Papyrus swap with Asgore & Toriel.

S&P are brother kings. With Sans being the eldest, technically he's the king. But his little brother asked so nicely and being a king is such a hardship, Sans crowned him as well. He stayed because monsters would complain about traditions and order. King Sans and Crown Prince Papyrus. Paps is very enthusiastic about his kingdom, and is beloved by the monsters. He takes his responsibilities seriously, and completes those Sans "forgot" about. He doesn't wear the Ruling Crown, which only the acting monarch can have, even tho he is basically the acting one. Sans walks through his kingdom, chatting with monsters and napping everywhere. He favours Snowdin and likes to laze around, is found often in the lab, reading about science and chatting with the Royal Scientist. Basically, Classic Sans. Some monsters think he is a different skeleton and not their king, because why would the acting king wander around his kingdom, sleeping in bushes and visiting taverns? Sans was the Crown Prince at the time of The War. After the previous monarch wasn't found under Mt. Ebott, monsters crowned him almost forcefully. He lost his HP (hope) finding a way to break the border and building the new world. Papyrus, seeing his brother's HP, decided he would do whatever it takes to break the border. After finding out about him giving the order and collecting the human souls, Sans got angry and one night didn't return to the castle. He lives in the Ruins now, hiding from the Royal Guards and lazing around as much as possible, thinking up ways to stop Papyrus from becoming what he couldn't.

A&T is a married couple that lives in Snowdin. Toriel is a baker, and Asgore aspires to become a Royal Guard.

(is their marriage okay? Are they divorced so Soriel can happen? Dunno yet)

Undyne&Alphys swap with Napstablook&Mettaton.

U&A are a singer x writer couple. Undyne is a popular rock star who gives motivational speeches and calls people Boneheads (which is not an insult there under, but a respectful way to refer to someone as a joke. Since their monarchs are skeletons.). Alphys is an aspiring writer shut-in that still loses her breath when Undyne looks at her (they're dating). Her books are inspired by anime and heavily advertised by Undyne and her gays (Royal Guard 01 and 02. Here they are a pianist and a drummer. They switch instruments occasionally).

(name of Undyne's group is not thought of yet)

M&N are ghost cousins who serve the Crown. Mettaton is the Royal Guard Captain, in their robotic body equipped by Napstablook. Blook is the Royal Scientist. With no need for food or sleep, and inspiration in the form of Undyne's music and Alphys' books, Naps has great interest in the job. Mettaton has got a bit far from Napstablook after the King has disappeared, which saddens them both.

Grillby&Muffet swap with IceCreamGuy&Burgerpants.

G&M are close friends, Grillby works for the restaurant in which Undyne usually performs and Muffet travels all over under world with her food cart. She brings foods from other regions everywhere, letting monsters taste and feel the other regions of their world, for a fair price. Doesn't overcharge. Only if you're rude. Is a great fighter. Grillby had a rocky start with Undyne, him being made of fire and her needing water often. They made up. Grillby gets a little more for offering fans to deliver water to Undyne, and she gets to meet different monsters.

B&I are unfinished. Burgerpants is probably the host of Snowdin tavern and IceGuy is a vendor in need of money, with a net to all of underground.

Asriel is Asgore's and Toriel's son. His fate is unknown yet, whether he will be like Monster kid and run around Snowdin or die and become the reason of his parents' divorce.

Frisk was the first human. They fell and were adopted by Sans, who ran to Ruins to take out the stress of his new responsibilities. They grew up with Papyrus, under the watch of Sans and got crowned as ... The Little Monarch of Underground. Monster kid came to the palace to play with Frisk and Papyrus often. Frisk told them stories of the overworld. When Monster Kid became extremely ill, they asked to see the surface and experience the flowers Frisk talked so much about . Frisk panics, kills the advisor, W.D. Gaster, to obtain a monster soul and goes into the world with Monster Kid. At the surface they get attacked, and their bodies, covered with golden flowers, are found near the barrier.

Chara is the 8th human. Fallen down while trying to escape their cruel life.

River person has not changed. They are just more crazy.

Man, why when people tell you about something scary they say shit like "Imagine you're in the middle of the woods at night..." I'd be already scared mate. What's that, the sound of something stepping and crushing bones or just leaves? Doesn't matter I'll run away immediately.

"Imagine you see this at 3 in the morning" Didn't we collectively agree that clothes are the scariest part of your room in the night? My phone once ringed when I went to sleep, resulting in me being scared for my life. I'm not even talking about books falling over. At 3 in the morning I'm scared of my own Mum even tho she lives here and is definitely alive (last time I checked), a cryptic on the living room will make the same amount of spook as my dog suddenly moving.

Why when presented with something scary people put it in already scary scenarios?

If I'm in the middle of a forest at night I don't care if that's a Windigo, a naked man in clown shoes sprinting towards me or a fluffy bun. I'm sprinting for my life away from a crooked tree I don't care about no Demons or zombies.

Maybe in the day not everything's scary, but at most scenarios people present EVERYTHING is scary as heck (as in fuck & hell and not a softer swear)

I decided to record my Karate Sensei's awesome lines, here are a few. More will be added.

Man why most Dark Academia decor ideas are like "get a Roman marble statue" or "put an antique gramophone".

Most of the Dark Academia "fanbase" are students, myself included. So here's a list of actual room decor that won't make you go bankrupt or rob a museum (tho that would be nice), which works for not only Dark, but any Academia:

Books . Pile up your to-read list or your favorite or just good looking ones.

A lamp. Preferably a little antique-ish, something affordable and nice and one that actually works and doesn't take half your desk.

Candles . The easiest. Just normal or scented one. Put them in one place or scatter through the room.

Flowers . Maybe a little Cottagecore-y, but flowers are nice to gaze upon while daydreaming, calms you down and a nice addition to any room.

Something floral but withered . A pressed flower or a branch with dried leaves. Maybe weird, but it's nice and stays longer than flowers.

A thing or two from a second hand or a flea market just for the ✨ aesthetic ✨ (I have a wooden pipe. I don't smoke and don't intend to). Like a candle holder.

Bo - I can't emphasize this enough - xes. Any size and colour, to put anything from notes to books to flowers. I got a nice looking chest and a jewelry box.

An inspiration board. I got a cork board with letters from my friends and some pictures. I also put there things to remember and tips.

Wall decor. May be a glued to the wall music score, a picture in a frame, flowers (again), photos, quotes and pages of books.

Additional shelves (if possible).

Stationery holder. I've got like 8 (I'm not kidding) on my desks for different purposes bc I'm a horder ;)

Posters. Anime, movies, inspiration, nature... Anything. It's your room.

Anything you feel fits there. A skull you found in the woods? Stick it in. Your laptop to work and watch movies on? Make sure it can charge. Your collection of anything? Make that shit visible fam. A photo of your idol or a loved one? Put it on! A poster with a boys band covered in writing? Above the bed it goes!
