Low Carb Taco Seasoning
AWho doesn't love tacos? I know I do!
But I don't love the carbs in prepackaged taco seasoning packets. There's usually 3g of carbs in 2 tsps of taco mix. There are 6 servings. So that means 18 EXTRA CARBS in a whole pound of meat.
Fret no more! I have a recipe for taco seasoning that's super easy to do and there is only 2.3 net carbs for a whole pound of meat!
TACO MIX:
1 Tsp cumin
1 Tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/12 tsp paprika (you can just do a small pinch)
This is enough for one pound of meat, but if you're like me you like making big batches. So the next one will be enough for 12 lbs of meat. All you need to do is add 1 Tbsp per pound of meat you're cooking!
BIG BATCH
1/4 C cumin
1/4 C chili powder
2 Tbsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp onion powder
1 Tbsp salt
1 Tsp paprika

Keto Frappe
So if you're like me, you hate coffee but loooove the 'coffee milkshake' drinks like frappes and frappucinos.
I have tried a hundred different recipes for a keto frappe that all tasted like..let's be honest, shit.
So I decided I would just make my own recipe. Easy right? Well it took me a couple months to finally create one I liked.
I finally perfected it. And I'll share it with you so you don't have to struggle like I did.
The key here is using COLD BREW coffee. It makes a huge difference in the taste. It's not bitter. This was my big mistake with my other tries was using regular coffee.
So I used a premade cold brew coffee which gets mixed with water. But any cold brew coffee will do.
1 C cold brew coffee
1C HWC (heavy whipping cream)
1 C ice
3 Tbsp unsweetened vanilla almond milk
A squirt of liquid stevia. (To taste)
2 Tbsp Torani sugar free caramel syrup
2 Tbsp MCT oil (optional)
I threw this all in my ninja blender and mixed it together.
This makes a large cup. I split it into 2 servings, but it could probably be split into 4 depending on how much you want to drink.
* I added the MCT oil for some added fat but it's optional.
* If you want to use less heavy whipping cream, do 4oz HWC and 4oz almond milk. It's still tasty
This recipe filled this large cup to the full line

Hey everyone!
I’m Hanna, if you didn’t notice from my username. It’s okay if you didn’t. 
I’ve been doing the ketogenic diet since September and I’ve lost 30lbs.
My starting weight on September 14th was 345 lbs. I just weighed in this morning at 314.6 lbs. 
I felt disgusting. I’ve been trying to lose weight since I had my son in May 2016. I tried everything. Every diet you can think of. Every weight loss product on the market. I starved myself. 
I was depressed and angry at the world, but mostly angry with myself. 
Why did I let myself get this fat? Why didn’t anyone sit me down and say, 
“Hey, you aren’t healthy and we’re concerned”
I originally came across the term keto in a wedding planning group. I didn’t know what the heck it was, so I googled it. 
I came across a site that explained it to me really well! Here’s the link if anyone wants to check it out!

At first this diet sounded crazy. High fat? Only 20g of carbs? No bread or pasta?
But I figured, “hey, it’s worth a shot.”
I lost 10 lbs in the first two weeks. Yeah, it was water weight.
I was ecstatic.  
I joined a bunch of keto groups on facebook, I told everyone I knew about it. 
Some people have been more supportive than others. 
Fast forward 4 months. It’s January. I made it through the holidays without any slip-ups. Okay, I had a few slip-ups.
I’m 30 lbs lighter and still losing. I feel great. I’m off of my thyroid medication. Hypothyroidism. I have energy to chase my son around. 
Obviously I’m nowhere near where I want to be. goal weight is 200 lbs. But I’m getting there and I’m happy. 
I no longer avoid mirrors when i walk by them. I’m not terrified of clothes shopping, because who knew if they carried my size? I’m not scared of my wedding dress not fitting when I get married! 
I feel happy again.
