Here is your annual reminder that if you want to read Homestuck but find it a little intimidating or are just not a big reader, Lets Read Homestuck by Team Voxus has completed all but the tail end of Homestuck.

LRHS starts out a little rough in the beginning, but the 'beginning' accounts for, like, less than four hours. Out of the total runtime of over 62 hours.

Also the voice actors are fucking tremendous and I will never stop saying that the voice actors for Karkat and Rose deserves an award for their work during Act 5.2.

Oh and if you're like me and need background noise to work, I uh I ripped all of the audio for every episode of LRHS and put it on my phone. It's organized with a audiobook app called Sirin.

thinking about jade harley in at rise again.

i never thought about it that way before but holy shit she did??? and both happened pretty similarly????

she killed her grandpa when she was playing with some guns and one fired and would have killed her if tavros hadn’t used bec to redirect the bullet towards grandpa. she killed dave by shooting at jack, who also redirected the bullets at dave.

both happened with her weapon of choice (gun—although they were different kinds iirc) and both were through the intervention of others (with the use of the powers of bec—her only company on the island who she eventually fused with).

jade is the witch of space. witch is a passive role and both of these instances used the manipulation of space.

someone more clever than i am could probably go somewhere with this.

He’s facing you full on, now. Staring.

"Well?" you say. "What was yours?"

"...Magical pony adventure," he says finally."

Notes: A short fic centering on Jane and Dirk dealing with the aftermath of their own magical other-worldly adventures. As well as how lessons learned in another world, may not translate as well to their own.

He speaks in your mind—“Should we watch Prometheus or War of the Worlds?”—but his voice isn’t fully there. It never is, when you try recalling it; there’s always something missing, the balance of breathiness and weight, the practiced work around his overbite, the motivation behind his thoughts that creates a flux in inflections that you could never replicate.

His voice is too close to yours when you try to remember it exactly. When you remember your response—“I know that the Alien franchise gets your dick wet, so I can’t knowingly deny a bro some solid fantasy material when I have such incriminating information floating around my frontal lobe”—it hardly sounds any different.

You feel your brows pinch at the realization. Slowly, you open your eyes.

“Hm,” the seer hums, “I don’t believe he can do it.”

Notes: A very good au series featuring a Dave and John that aren't very different from the ones we know and love. Seperatly, they each meet a Seer and Witch who played a game, and are looking for their friends.

Karkat owns a children’s bookstore called Bookbound. Dave is opening a store called Strider’s Puppets and Pages, threatening to drive Karkat out of business. But online, CG an TG are anonymous internet penpals, who have no idea who the other really is.

anyways heres the fic i spontaneously started writing of an au taking one of my fave romcoms, youve got mail, and turning it into a davekat fanfic. lol the first chapter is kinda long but its for setting up ahahaahah ch 2 will be better i promise hope u enjoyyyyy if u have an ask for it pls send it to @blubericlam
