Taira no Kiyomori Ep.33 〜Waka battle〜

「帰りつる 名残の空を ながむれば なぐさめがたき 有明の月」（千載和歌集　恋歌三　838　摂政前右大臣) Kaeritsuru/ Nagorino Sorao/ Nagamureba/ Nagusamegataki/ Ariake no Tsuki By Kanezane After a lover has gone home, when I look at the sky wistfully, only pale morning moon is left. It becomes no comfort to me. (From the viewpoint of woman)

Because Kanezane looked down on Tadanori, he displayed his high class to sing Waka, by the song from the viewpoint of woman by man. as a reply of this, Tadanori sung, 「ながめつつ 来ぬ夜つもりの うらみても まつよりほかの なぐさめぞなき」（忠度集　74　平忠度） Nagametsustu/ Konu Yo Tsumori no/ Uramitemo/ Matsuyori Hoka no/ Nagusame zo naki While expecting, the night when he didn't come was piled up. However I wish (or blame), there isn't comfort except waiting for him.

A great place of this song is, there is the story in the others of the meaning that I stated above. ①=Ostensible meaning ②=Hidden meaning ”Tsumori” ①積もり = pile up ②津守= the guard of the wharf ”Urami” ①恨み=venom, malice ②浦見=watching fleet "Matsu" ①待つ=wait ②松=pine When we see the whole on the basis of these, A scene "The guard of the wharf watches the pine of the beach" appears. It becomes the mental scenery to wait for lover, and gives drama.

The screenwriter Yuki Fujimoto is a hard worker very much. In fact, their songs exist in the different times. She choosed songs to become the pair among their many songs, and drew their personality and psychology.

One of the Bugaku. Kiyomori recommended this entertainment positively, and this 蘭陵王(Ranryo-ou) was played frequently in particular in Itsukushima Shrine. Taira no kiyomori Ep.30

Sutoku accomplished his life. He who ascended to the throne in light in Ep.1 ascended to heaven in light. Rest in peace..

Copying of a sutra he wrote and gave Go-shirakawa is 長者窮子(Choja Guuji) of 法華七譬(Hokke Shichiyu). One of 7 stories of the Lotus Sutra. It's the story that father and his child lead to understand each other after having time of dozens of years. His father Toba gave him same one at once, and he tore up.

Taira no kiyomori Ep.24 〜thier costume color〜

 By grade, courtiers wore the different colors. (Colors to wear varied according to era.)

(From http://www.kariginu.jp/kikata/5-1.htm) In ep. 24, Kiyomori wears black of grade 4, Yoshitomo does scarlet of grade 5.

Difference in social position becomes clear at a glance, it's a humiliating scene for Yoshitomo. As an aside, 公卿 (Kugyou, noble) is that of people who are above the rank of 3.

矢先稲荷神社

祭神は倉稲魂命（うかのみたまのみこと） を祀り、神体は上野東叡山寛永寺の祖慈眼（じげん）大師（天海大僧正）によって寄進され、「御府内寺社備考」によると「木造で翁の型をして稲を荷い、７寸８分、弘法大師作」となっているという。（中略）拝殿の格天井には、神代から今日にいたる「日本馬乗史」を描いた絵が奉納されているといういうことを知った。人物、馬の姿態、武具、服装などすべてが精密な考証のもとに描き上げられていて、馬にまつわる歴史が一目瞭然に理解できる貴重なものであるという。

Taira no Kiyomori Ep. 23 「叔父を斬る」

(This picture is from Official  http://www9.nhk.or.jp/kiyomori/photo/index.html) It was an episode more important than I expected. A contrastive result of Kiyomori and Yoshitomo. It is surely an important foreshadowing. And the latter half were full of the fragments which lead the arrival of the new times. It was 338 years since the last death penalty in those days, since 818. Therefore it is said that this was shocking than the transportation of the ex-emperor. (The transportation of the Imperial family was occasional.)

I was moved to tears by the sermon of Kiyomori's uncle. What kind of 喝(like "making someone sit up" ?) which with such a love is this?

And proud faces of his sons occurred me mixed feeling.

However, a reaction of Yoshitomo was unexpected. I assumed Kiyomori cannot kill, Yoshitomo can with a single stroke, and after I think, "after all Genji is cruel". But... "泣くでない...(Don't cry)" was too warm.

Sons of Tameyoshi rebuked Yoshitomo who was not able to kill in contrast with Kiyomori. This reaction of Yoshitomo will hint to the Heiji Rebellion. But, I laughed when Saigyo and Oniwaka came. Why they came? lol

The most happy thing at this episode was that Tokiko awoke. Makeup? illumination? camera angle? Including the way of speaking which didn't accept Shigeko's argument, it was very good scene. (In Japanese, this her tone of speaking was strict.) I was worrying whether she becomes a person worthy of her last, but she will be a pillar to Heishi after Kiyomori's death, and support her clan. And will make gestures as wife of the leader of Heishi, at Dan-no-ura.

For the first time Yura's fang flashed to Tokiwa. Her son Yoritomo will kill Tokiwa's son 33 years later.

Onimusya's cold face is very good. That's how Genji is. He will also kill each other, like all other Genji's ancestries.

I finally bought Memorial Stamps. Centennial celebration of the gift of Cherry Blossom trees to the U.S. If I have a penfriend, I'll probably use these. I don't have, though... lol (；∀； ) .。.:*・゜＋.。.:*・゜＋.。.:*・゜＋.。.:*・゜＋.。.:*・゜＋.。.:*・゜＋.。.:*・。. 2000 trees which were given for the first time had ached all during shipping. (Cherry tree especially Somei-Yoshino is easy to get sick) Responding to this, the study to make the strong trees was conducted in Okitsu garden, the most famous Agricultural Experiment Station in Japan at that time. Then seedlings were grown in Hagino elementary school, in Itami Hyogo. In 2012, the nursery trees which grew were shipped from Yokohama to U.S. After that, Japan received the dogwood from the U.S. , now it's in Hagino elementary school.
