you laid on your mattress with the covers on one leg while the other was hanging off the bed, your phone hovering above your face as you texted a few of your friends. your boyfriend was in the living room-kitchen area doing god knows what. you hear a bunch of weird noises and some other voices and you freeze, not knowing since when others were in your shared apartment. you relax as you hear your boyfriends friends voices and realise that he must have just invited his bandmates over to practice. after deciding to give them some time to themselves, you zone out back to your phone again.

about an hour later, after having watched two and a half kdrama episodes that made your eyes burn with tears, you decide want a hug from your boyfriend - and a break from this show. you wipe your eyes and make your way to the living room and look for him. entering the kitchen, you see him cooking an early dinner for you two, as he has a day off tomorrow and wants to spend as much time with you as possible.

he looks up and sees you, a smile appearing on his face as he wipes his forehead with the rag in his hand. "hi baby~ what brings you here? i thought you were taking a nap?" he walks around the kitchen counter and heads for you, wrapping his arms around your waist as he pulls you in for a kiss. when you pull away he's staring into your eyes with such pure love and adoration that your cheeks flush from the intensity.

"i-i couldn't sleep, so i uh, i went on my phone," you clear your throat and turn away from him, walking towards the couch and sitting down. "so, where are the boys? i heard them here a while ago, and i assumed you brought them over for practice so i stayed up in our room," he grins and shakes his head coming to sit next to you.

"see, this is why i love you," he takes your hands in his, kissing every knuckle and both palms. "you're so caring and thoughtful, even when you don't have to you go out of your way for the sake of others. you are the most selfless person i know, y/n, and i want you to really know how much i love you."

it wasn't uncommon for him to be so mushy like this, and he did it fairly often as to make sure you knew he loved you and the thought was never filled with any doubt, yet your cheeks still blushed and you fumbled with your words, your heartbeat never ceasing to increase rapidly whenever he spilled his love for you like this.

"h/n, you're way too kind for your own good.. and i love you more, you big baby," he giggled and booped your nose, leaning in to kiss you softly again. he pulled away, leaving you with a pout, and he laughed saying he had to finish dinner before it burned. as he was walking back you wondered as to how you got so lucky - and, ironically, so did he.

after dinner he told you to get dressed and that he was taking you on a walk. it was still daylight outside, and he said he wanted to catch the sunset with you. you agreed, changing into something comfortable yet that made you feel confident. when you walked out of your room, he just stared at you. you suddenly got shy, and looked down slightly to hide your cheeks from blushing for the third time that night.

"what~? you're embarrassing me!! s-stop staring!!" you hit his chest playfully with your hand as he met your eyes. "how could i not admire you when you look this breathtaking?" you scrunched up your nose and hid your head in his chest and wrapped your arms around his torso. "i hate you," you muffled out. he chuckled and responded with an 'i love you too', and then he took your hand softly, intertwined his fingers with yours, and motioned you out the door. "angels first, my darling~" and you rolled your eyes with a huge smile plastered on your face as you soaked up the cheesy yet very cute compliment.

he took you on a walk to the han river, and you found the perfect spot on the dongho bridge to watch the sunset. he stood behind you, taking pictures of you with the beautiful auburn glow of the civil twilight sky, making you look like a creature from heaven. his pupils were completely blown out as he looked at you, anxious but ready. when you were oblivious to his actions he swiped to his messaging app and texted you, making you slightly jump in surprise at the buzz in your pocket. he stayed behind you as you read his message, and began typing back with a small giggle.

your stomach dropped and your smile fell. anxiety suddenly flooded your senses, and the sunset was long forgotten as your shaky hands typed back.

your eyes widened as you slowly turned around. you found him on one knee, looking at you with the most sparkling eyes you've ever seen. you gasped and covered your mouth, almost dropping your phone in the process. some people noticed when he dropped to the ground behind you while others heard the sound coming from you and turned their attention towards it. cameras and phones were instantly whipped out when they realised what was happening, recording the most shocking moment of your life from lots of different angles - but yours was the best. you were zapped out of your trance when he started talking...

"y/n, i have never been happier than in the five years i've been with you. i have never been more sure of anything in my life than knowing that i want to be with you for the rest of it. you make me so incredibly happy and proud to be yours, and you make me a better person just by being around me. i wouldn't care about a lot of things half as much as i would without you, but you have taught me so much and have showed me how to love and cherish and appreciate the little and medium things as much as the big things, and for that i am so thankful. for you i am forever grateful. for us i will do anything, and for our future i will never stop fighting. you mean the universe to me, and all the brightest stars in the sky couldn't compare to the ones in your eyes or the sparks in my heart when i look at you. you light my soul on fire, you are my twin flame." he opens the little velvet box to reveal the most beautiful ring you've ever laid your eyes on.

"i know our love is pure and solid and firm and nothing could come between us or break our bond, but i want to set it in stone even more. i want to write it in the stars with our own our hands. so, y/n, will you make me the luckiest man to ever exist in the milky way galaxy.. and be my life partner? forever?" the tears were streaming down your face so fast you couldn't keep up with blinking them away.

you nodded your head yes slightly then sped up speed until you were shaking it almost vigorously, and you took your hands from your mouth and screamed with love pouring from your vocal chords, "yes, yes, yes yes yes-" he stood up as you repeated it over and over and over again and you ran to him and jumped into his arms to give him the strongest and shakiest hug you've ever given.

you pull away from him and takes your left hand, slips on the ring, and as yells and cheers erupted from the crowd you forgot was around you, as bottles of champagne were popped for the two of you, you kissed at the exact second the sun set, and since your souls were so connected with the earth in this moment of pure, raw emotions you both felt this fire being lit inside of you, and you knew that your fates were sealed within the laws of the universe and it's magic.

when you pulled away the people crowded you and a sea of congratulations and best wishes were swarming your ears, but your head was so dizzy with ecstasy and adrenaline that you could only focus on the one thing you cared about in that moment; him.

and as you walked back, hand in hand, you realised that it wasn't luck that brought you two together - it was destiny. and, ironically, so did he.
