Fuming - a haikyuu!! fanfic

“SHUT IT!” screeches Daichi as Hinata and Kageyama halt in their steps. Tanaka tiptoes loudly behind them, hoping to squitter away without being caught.

Nothing seems to escape Daichi as his left hand reaches out to grab Tanaka by his collar. “Geh!” Tanaka squeals, quivering in his shoes.

Daichi throws all three: Hinata, Kageyama, Tanaka over to the corner where the trolley of volleyball-balls lay.

“You’ve gone and done it, you brats! You’ve managed to piss Daichi off twice in the past hour! Are you asking for a death sentence?!” Tanaka whisper yells into the other two’s ears.

Kageyama glares at Hinata: “It’s all because of your whining, you dumbass!”

Daichi’s left eye twitches as he grabs all their collars; yanking them by his right hand. Hinata slams both his palms together and begs for god to let him live another day.

…

Meanwhile…

…

on the other side of the Karasuno high school volleyball team’s gym, Nishinoya and Asahi abruptly stop their receiving and spiking to tilt their heads towards the source of the rapidly-growing, blood red, fiery aura surrounding Daichi.

They notice Hinata, Kageyama, and Tanaka all piled up in one corner, on their knees, apologizing as Daichi continues to scold them.

“What do you think they’ve done this time?” Nishinoya asks Asahi, giggling at the idiocy of his teammates as he bounces the ball on his forearms.

“Heh, heh. What haven’t they done?” Asahi replies awkwardly, scratching the back of his neck.

The doors to the gym open as Sugawara and Ennoshita enter. “So as I was saying if you could–”

“SUGAWARA! ENNOSHITA! HELP US!” Hinata yells scrambling for hope.

“Why you little—-”
