Stray Kids’ Cléo To Join “Inkigayo” Lineup As MC Alongside TXT’s Yeonjun And Haemin

Fresh off the conclusion of Stray Kids recently headlining Lollapalooza in Paris, Cléo was suddenly announced as a new MC slated next to TXT’s Yeonjun and Haemin, friends of the idol through twin brother and fellow group mate Alexei.

Following the news of current “Inkigayo” MC Park Jihu’s departure from the show, SBS suddenly announced on July 30th — “Stray Kids’ Cléo will join ‘Inkigayo’ as the new MC just in time for the summer. She, alongside TXT’s Haemin and Yeonjun, will provide a fresh and positive face for the vibrant energy ‘Inkigayo’ is known for.”

The three making appearances together have already sparked pleasant surprise and excitement amongst netizens. Yeonjun, Haemin, and Cléo’s first episode together as three MCs will air on August 5th at 3:40 PM KST.

"Yes, music is technically in my blood, at least not literally, my father was a musician and my mom used to be a musical actress way before I came along into the picture! So being an idol was practically destiny calling."

"Okay..I would definitely like to team up with both Kisung and Haemin from TXT, Ryuin hyung from WayV, & Zhenyu from Seventeen to form a group. I think being in a group with all of them would be so much fun, don't tell my group mates that I said that!"

CHOI YEONJUN 𓄹 despite briefly meeting each other in their respective groups at award shows and the like, the two of them didn’t officially meet until they started mcing together at inkigayo in july of 2023. and much like her twin, cléo strikes him as someone who is honest upfront with a liking towards sly commentary and witty remarks. cléo finds him both funny and also never wants to see his shoe collection. two things can exist at once ! banter and pretending they have light beef on camera is a major part of their friendship.

LEE KISUNG ( @wondrelove ) 𓄹 meeting kisung actually stopped the world from spinning for a total of three seconds. the world’s axis titled even more, resulting in onscreen chaos when stray kids and txt happen to be within each other’s vicinity and stress between their respective leaders. it’s not their fault the two of them just clicked and happen to leave chaos in their wake.. ( think changbin and wooyoung. they feed off each other’s energy. only cléo would rather give up coffee for the rest of her life than willingly perform aegyo. )

CHOI SOOBIN 𓄹 she thinks he’s so sweet ): upon surprise visiting alexei on one of her rare off days, she bumped into him in one of the hallways and — despite looking exactly like one of the people he’s been working and dorming with — he thought she was a lost trainee and offered to walk her back to the waiting area. when he did eventually connect the dots ( aka, staring at the set of twins with a mix of awe and disbelief ), he apologized countless times before essentially ghosting her out of embarrassment. if anything, it made her more inclined to seek him out, and now they’re at a point where they hold a lot of respect towards each other. even if he gets embarrassed still whenever someone brings up that story.

CHOI BEOMGYU 𓄹 # 1 enemy and bane of her existence. the two of them almost squared up within fifteen minutes of meeting each other, and while no squabble happened, that doesn’t stop the two of them from throwing light shots at each other. think cléojun but much more chaotic. ( the two actually are good friends and don’t actually feel the need to square up anymore, but where’s the fun in suddenly stopping the shade ? plus it makes alexei’s nerves heighten, and if there’s one thing the two have very publicly agreed on, it’s that their love for pushing her twin’s buttons go beyond fake beef. )

KANG TAEHYUN 𓄹 she honestly thought he was the most normal one in the group .. ( and then she rethought and decided that anyone who willingly became friends with her twin had to be strange to some capacity. no offense. ) but she found out he had a cat and warmed up to him very quickly. much like soobin, they have a very respectful relationship and often send each other cat pictures when they have the time.

HUENING KAI 𓄹 she finds him so cute. so cute. adores his loud gremlin laugh and will be silly on purpose just to hear it. regularly dotes on him and haemin much to the rest of txt’s dismay—especially beomgyu’s—to which she just shrugs and sends another plushie his way. 1/2 of her sons.. what can she say ? ( kai also happens to be alexei’s favorite, so you know the beef between the twins is real. )

SONG HAEMIN ( @haezzzn ) 𓄹 if you thought her babying jeongin was bad, it’s leveled up to a thousand when it comes to haemin. like he’s actually her son. that’s her baby. she literally won’t hear otherwise. speaks of him highly to whoever will listen and will pull out pictures like a proud mother. in her eyes, he can literally do no wrong. the rest of the group could cry for all she cares. ( she does care. it’s just. that’s her son ! )

what's ur worst and best memory from ur trainee days?

“my best memory was either when i learned i was gonna debut, or when i got but by the spider and became spiderman because that helped me debut.” haemin smiles cutely, acting completely innocent as if he didn’t just lie straight to you guys’ face. “my worst memory…was when i first started training. i didn’t really know how to talk to anyone because i didn’t speak korean well and it was really scary and sad, i wanted to go back home with my mom….”

who is the groupmate u get along with the most? is there a member u dislike or are awkward with despite working together for a while?

“kisung and alexei i think i get along with the most! they’re like my like closest big brothers kind of if that makes sense? it’s fun to play pranks and stuff with them and they always take care of me!” haemin pulls at his lip a little bit as he thinks. “i don’t think i’m awkward with anyone? we all have like different friendship types but like that doesn’t really mean we’re not that close.”

“a rumor that made me laugh? i don’t know maybe that me and heeseung hyung wrestled to see who would be in txt and who would go to i-land. that’s kinda crazy because he can’t fight at all….but maybe that’s why you guys thought we fought? i don’t really like fighting though even though i’m spiderman, i use my powers for music not fighting. so it would be an unfair advantage over him because he’s not spiderman.” haemin nods to himself, proud of his answer. “and i don’t know if any rumor has made me sad, i don’t really get sad honestly.”

“i look myself up alllll the time really. i like seeing what you guys have to say about me, and like if you’re right or not. like one time there was this one fan and like she’s like super smart and she made this video about like how sometimes i do these things that are similar to her right?” he’s gesturing vaguely with his hands, not really motioning at anything. “and like she has this thing called add so she met me at a fansign and told me like about it and i was like ohhhh and it was really cool because like then i got like a diagnosis. so like it’s cool that you guys pay so much attention to me if that makes sense? and i really like hanging out with you guys.”

YEONJUN AND HAEMIN

to haemin, yeonjun is an old man, a HAG, ancient history, about to fall apart and fade to dust any day now. you will NEVER not hear this boy making fun of yeonjun’s age (think seokjin and jungkook or seungmin and chan). it’s crazy because haemin was originally TERRIFIED of yeonjun, because of his whole status as a legendary trainee. was shaking in his boots every time they talked. but once they were in a group, and they got comfortable it was over from then.

KISUNG AND HAEMIN

“you wanna do something fun haeminnie?”

they originally bonded over the fact that their korean kinda sucked when they started training, or at least haemin’s did. he could barely get sentences out, and there was almost always english slipped in. kisung helped him a lot and they became attached at the hip. they do everything together, kisung gives haemin energy and he basically just lights up around the older boy. they’re inseparable.

ALEXEINDRE AND HAEMIN

“this is the last time i let you drag me into this stuff.”

“yeah okay. if you say so.”

haemin reminds him a lot of his (barely) younger sister cléo. haemin’s adorable and good at lying, so he’s able to charm his hyungs into doing pretty much anything. he drags alexei into literally all the trouble and just smiles cutely afterwards and it’s just fine. you can never really get mad at haemin.

SOOBIN AND HAEMIN

soobin ADORES haemin, his pride and joy. soobin takes like complete credit on raising him as if he’s his own son and as if the others (especially kisung) didn’t help. there’s so many compilations of soobin just staring at haemin with such a proud/adoring look in his eyes. and it’s like the same way too, haemin looks up to soobin so much, he wants to be just like soobin, talented and leader like.

BEOMGYU AND HAEMIN

it’s not even like on purpose. like kisung and haemin get into trouble on purpose, because it’s fun. beomgyu and haemin get into trouble because for whatever reason they CANNOT stay out of it. they are always at the scene of the crime, it’s actually so bad. at one point they literally had to use those like leashes that kindergarten classes use while out in public so the managers could keep track of them.

TAEHYUN AND HAEMIN

“haemin i told you i have to practice right now, you can’t just sleep on me…..oh alright maybe just for a little while.”

taehyun is whipped for haemin. he’s haemin’s go to hyung when he wants cuddles and to take naps because the older bot just for whatever reason can’t say no (soobin and yeonjun sometimes can, key word sometimes). any time haemin is caught sleeping, he’s probably with taehyun. he’s also NOT a morning person snd taehyun is the one who shares a room with him and has to force him awake in the mornings.
