Buck when he first meets Eddie is so fucking embarrassing like he was putting extra weights so he could show off his strength and then whips out a selfie stick like it's fucking 2015 and starts taking pictures of himself flexing and sweaty like he wanted that mans attention soooo badly and HE GOT IT because Eddie WAS paying attention to his gay ass posturing and he LIKED IT

after rewatching it like a million times in a row just now, i think the argument in 8x09 might be one of my favorite buddie scenes, actually. it just displays so blatantly how well eddie knows buck, the good and the bad, and how much he loves him even through hurt and anger.

eddie is mad, he is so mad, and he lays out some of buck's biggest character flaws, not to hurt buck, but to get them communicating. he doesn't want buck not to be pissed at him or suppress how he feels, he just wants buck to be honest about it. and then buck admits he's having trouble with eddie leaving and eddie no hesitation confirms he feels the same, and accidentally exposes what's been in his head, that he's choosing between buck and chris, that this is a choice that hurts him to make. because he loves buck.

and eddie is still mad but here buck makes his sweeping gesture, you don't have to choose, he is your son and you need to be with him. and eddie's emotions are all over the place he doesn't have time to process a thing he's just slapped in the face with how much buck loves him, how much buck loves chris.

the whole scene illustrates so clearly, through it all eddie sees buck, loves him to his core, no matter how frustrating he gets the love and knowing doesn't waver. and, of course, buck doesn't let him forget, he loves him right back.

Buddie wedding, Buck opens his vows by saying “and this is my favorite time, bc I get to yap about Eddie & you all have to sit there & listen” and everybody kind of sighs bc like. He does this all the time but they can’t make fun of him for this time in particular bc it’s his WEDDING day.

We hear Ravi groan in the distance tho bc he doesn’t give a fuck lol.

And then Buck unfolds a 2-inch thick stack of papers & everybody groans anyway but Eddie just stands there w his cute little pink cheeks & a big ass grin on his face bc yay, his fav guy is going to yap, he loves when that happens 🥰🥰🥰

feeling some type of way about eddie explaining the things buck says to people. “buck was on the pier when the tsunami hit so he’s kinda obsessed with natural disasters.” “he takes christopher there all the time, got the place memorised.” it not only shows how much eddie listens to buck and cares about him, but it’s also him actively trying to get other people to do the same. this is why buck is telling you this, this is why it’s important to him, this is why you should listen to him. pay attention to him. care. it’s obvious how much that’s going to mean to buck, someone who came from a family where he had to fight to be cared about. and eddie does it effortlessly. he cares so much and he wants other people to care too. and like, we know buck will take any excuse to talk about eddie, and this is kind of eddie’s way of doing the same. his way of telling people what he knows about buck by elaborating on what buck says. i know why this is important to buck and i’m going to tell you because he deserves to be heard. it’s all very sweet.

The following episodes are a perfect way for Eddie to come back FOR Buck.

We already know that only an emergency could've made Eddie come back to LA and now we have an opportunity for Eddie to decide to go back, not because Buck's life is in danger, but because people Buck loves are in danger and he needs emotional support.

Eddie's going to see the trouble 118's in on the news and he'll immidietly try facetiming Buck. He's relieved when Buck picks up though he tries not to show it because Buck is visibly emotionally not ok. Buck's family is is trapped and he can't do a thing about it. Eddie wants to help, but his help has limits. He hangs up and he immidietly asks Chris if he wants to go to LA. Because his support system needs a support system.

Anyway, manifesting this for the next episode.

Buck going from an annoying wannabe frat boy in season 1 to a bisexual, borderline socially inept sweetie who stress bakes and wears aprons and whose biggest problem is that he just loves people too damn much is SO IMPORTANT to me

i'm so sorry but it's hilarious that mr Silver Star™ spent the whole episode just picking up his phone to call his husband and go buck i am being SO BRAVE right now. a 20-yo girl told me to shut the fuck up. and buck went oh my god eddie you ARE being so so brave aw. and this was on prime american television

every interaction buck has had with eddie since loudly declaring that he's absolutely not in love with him (he was a renter), has pretty clearly shown a deeply loving, understanding, supportive relationship between two people trying to navigate the minefield of parenthood whilst also just being there for each other with everyday life stuff. they are literally being written as a married couple right before our eyes!!!!!!!
