Pokémon Legends Z-A will be released late 2025 and I’m SO EXCITED. City improvement towards coexistence with Pokémon is the goal. There’s new battle strategies, mega evolution AND MY GIRL CHIKORITA IS GETTING SOME LOVE FINALLY. If I was going to design the ponies for a new cartoon, I would give them all a basic body shape with small differences depending on the kind of pony. I wanted to evoke the chunkier designs of the older generations, but I used the Mane Six to show off the idea, since they’re well-known designs.

Unicorn: More slender legs; longer, silkier mane and tail; longer ears; cloven hooves; hoof and inner ear color matches their mane

Pegasus: More slender legs; shorter, stiffer mane and tail; fetlock tufts that are stiff like feathers; bicolor wings; hoof, inner ear, and secondary wing color matches a color from the cutie mark

Earth Pony: Stouter legs; more simplistic mane/tail design (one or two colors, more natural textures); bicolor coat; hoof and inner ear color are a darker shade of their main body color
