It was a great way to keep in touch with the authors I’d met, and also gave me the opportunity to meet new authors who…

Prince Ewald the Brave - Indie Book Review
Prince Ewald the Brave begins as Ewald comes of age and begins to understand that the only way to save his family, is to defeat his father.
Well hello, and many apologies for the delay in updates! Basically in the middle of May, my landlord informed me they were selling the condo, and I had to find a new place to live. Despite having less than two months’ notice, my partner Noel and I mobilized and somehow miraculously managed to move at the beginning of the month. However, literally, everything else in my life got pushed back. Hence…

Love, Supposably - Indie Book Review
I read the extremely funny novel Love, Supposably by M. Clayton. It's about a young woman going through a tough time, who suddenly finds herself living in a romantic novel...
Since it’s February I thought it fitting to read something romantic. Or I dunno, maybe I just really need to read something funny and lighthearted during February – the worst month in Toronto. Happy Valentine’s Day, I guess… Anyway, I read the extremely funny novel Love, Supposably by M. Clayton. It’s about a young woman going through a tough time, who suddenly finds herself living in a romantic…

My second favourite memory from visiting #England in 2009 was going to the #TowerofLondon. It’s crazy that this is 1,000 years old... and still built 500 years after the #IndieBook I reviewed this month is set. Set in the 5th century CE, between the fall of the Romans and the rise of the Anglo-Saxons, Honor is an exciting adventure looking at the political and religious upheaval during one of the most exciting times in British history.
Hey look, I got the book review out on time! To kick-off 2021’s lineup of indie book reviews, I read Honor by Francis Williams. Set in the 5th century CE, between the fall of the Romans and the rise of the Anglo-Saxons, Honor is an exciting adventure looking at the political and religious upheaval during one of the most exciting times in British history. (Completely off-topic, but I find it…
