I’m honestly shocked by all of the vitriol that the Fandom throws at Alida. Its so unnecessary and most importantly, it hurts Bill. Do you think that he wants to see other people trashing his girlfriend and mother of his child online?

This is a rant article and will contain some strong language and opinions. It needs to be stated that I do not intend to offend anyone while saying my beliefs, but I do intend for this to be seen and taken into account because I believe it needs to stop. Say what you want in response to this, argue with the wall if you must.

It goes without saying that it's NOT very hard to just be a decent fucking person and mind your own fucking business. Let people love who they want and fuck who they want. As long as it's consensual and everyone is happy and there is no toxicity.

It's not very hard to respect someone's love life, their romantic decisions, and whatever else they decide. ESPECIALLY if you honestly call yourself a fan of that person's work.

Some people (*cough* toxic Bill Skarsgard fans, I'm glaring at you) like to ignore this completely and decide that oh, it must be completely okay to shit talk about Bill Skarsgard's girlfriend and her career and to even go so far as to insult her capabilities as a mother of a child.

Why? Simply because she's with him, a famous and albeit good-looking actor who people need to stop fetishizing over and they need to start realizing that he's an actual fucking human being! Not an object! He doesn't belong to anyone and he makes his own choices.

People need to grow up, get lives and stop putting their jealousy and insensitivity onto the partners of famous people because I see it in other fandoms. I'm only using the case of Alida Morberg in this example because I'm sick of the way people have been treating her and its making me incredibly mad because I know she doesn't deserve this.

I've seen comments about her "atrocious acting" and that she's "ruining Bill's life" because of it, or that "she's too old for him and not good looking enough" or that "he could do better than her".

The saddest thing is when people decide to pick on her capabilities as a mother.

So before you say shit like that, ask yourself these questions as well as give yourself a big fucking reality check.

Do you know her? Can you honestly say you personally know her enough to make this assumption? What evidence do you have to prove your negative comment? Do you think that Bill Skarsgard is incapable of deciding this for himself and whether or not he wants to be with her?

Is it really any of your business?

It is NOT up to YOU to decide who another person, famous or not, decides to date. It certainly isn't up to you, a person who has zero control over what said person does, to decide if their romantic partner(s) are good enough for them. They can only be the judge of that.

Just because an actor, someone who is well praised and well-liked in the media or someone you're fangirling over, has a love interest and an actual life outside of their job and outside of pleasing audiences, does not give you the right to speculate and hate on said love interest. Sure you can feel disappointed, but don't insult their significant other just for existing.

This is the real message I want to get across before you even consider thinking of yourself as a true fan.

If you are a real fan of an actor or artist or anyone you look up to, it's not your judgment or your endless knowledge of every single detail of their life that makes you a fan. It's your support of their work and of their decisions, in regards to their love life or not, that makes you a real fan.
