There's no easy path to glory, There's no road to fame. Life, however we may view it, Is no simple parlor game; But it's prizes call for fighting, For endurance and for grit; For a rugged disposition and don't know when to quit.”

A good pocket knife is invaluable, it goes wherever you go. Why not invest in something you will be proud to carry for a long time? The blade is laminated Japanese white steel with a tsuchime (hand-hammered) finish, and we love the slim profile, made for the pocket.
Traditionally known as the Higonokami, the “Higo” knife has been produced by Miyamoto Manufacturing Co. since the late 1920s. This style knife was developed in 1894 by the hardware wholesaler Tasaburo Shigematsu, and the blacksmith Sadaharu Murakami, and soon after it quickly rose to great renown in Japan.

/SHOUT: SO YOU LIKE TO PLAY WOW? YOU MAY ALSO LIKE THE FOLLOWING NONE MMO GAMES
Orcs Must Die 2:
Tumblr media
So you have faithfully played as a member of the Hoard sense you discovered that the Alliance was filled with children and cretins... and child cretins. Maybe for that reason the whole sale slaughter of your orcish brothers in arms is off putting. Well, that is OK. "Orcs Must Die 2" is still a great game.
The story and cast are simple at best but that is not really the reason you play OMD2. You play it because its fun. First off OMD2 is a tower defense game... in the 3rd person. Listen, I know that you bought a iphone years ago and wore out your screen playing one tower defense clone after another. This is not one of those games. New life is breathed into the genre with charm and innovation. Make a plan, set traps, release the hoard, run around with your boom stick. If that gets lonely join a friend and play together, It's a great game.
BoarderLands 2:
Tumblr media
You may think that Boarderlands 2 is too bro-tastic and immature for you... get off your high horse, you are currently reading a blog about video games.
Sporting a skill system that would make most MMOs jealous, this first person shooter/roll playing game doesn't hold back when it comes to story and presentation. However, it bridges the gap you see with most console games by having a actual end-game. You don't beat the last boss in BL2 and trade the game back into Gamestop for 4.99.You are constantly called upon to improve your character, even after you hit level cap.  Did I mention there are raids? Yes I said raids, there are many secret bosses strewn throughout the game that require a specific strategy and coordination with other players to overcome.
Buy it, play it... if you are offended by bad words.. mute it.
Lastly:
There is no barrier for you to play these games if you don't have a console. Both are available for your PC and can be downloaded from Steam.

/SHOUT: BOOKS, FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT CAN READ.
So do you like WoW, LOTRs, LoL and all things fantasy.. But maybe you'd rather switch out your toilet paper with sand paper then rereading the "Hobbit" for the six hundredth time. Well stop where you are, because there are alternatives. (No, I'm not talking about those crappy WoW books, or the even crappier DD stuff out there.)
For starters try my personal favorite fantasy at the moment.
Tumblr media
"The Lies of Locke Lamora" is a absolutely fantastic book. Amazing characters and a fascinating world with a more organic approach to story telling then you see in most "Fantasy" books. Instead of some grandiose convoluted world where every character seems like a twelve year old's nebulous day dream, you have wonderfully solid and surprisingly real characters.
Next up is:
Tumblr media
When you think the of "The First Law Trilogy" think of Skyrim with better sword fights. It's full of gray characters making ambiguously moral choices to meet their own needs for power, vengeance, hope, or greed. It's saying something when in the course of a book, you find yourself cheering on the schizophrenic, murdering, barbarian because he is the most morally centered character in the book... and you just plain like him.
Lastly:
Tumblr media
If you're looking for more fantasy in your fantasy, then check out: "Malazan Book of the Fallen"
MBotF, fills the void that "The Black Company" left in so many hearts. (if you don't know "The Black Company" buy it and read it... it is foundational for all dark fantasy out there.) Massive in scale by all accounts, expect to pull out a spread sheet in order to keep track of all the crazy magic systems, geography, and characters in these books... in fact I can not think of a single book in this series that repeats POV characters. These poor sods get chewed up and spit out, only to be resurrected and put through the ringer all over again.

/SHOUT: LOCK TANKING?
Wait? Did you say lock tanking? (demon hunter)
Tumblr media
I did... I find that unconventional play styles in games can be a fantastic diversion. One of my favorite things about a game, is trying to find a way to do it other then how it tells you to in the manual. That's why I loved my melee wizard in D3 and that's why showing warriors in 5 mans how to tank using my lock kicks butt. I wonder when Blizzard is going to get rid of "That Guy". You know "That Guy". He generally has a beard and reverse body dis-morphia. His favorite statement is "you can't do that", followed up by a double-wide full of circular logic backing up his point of view.
"You can't tank on a lock, they wear cloth..."
"Yeah, but they're Magic. So who's to say they couldn't defend themselves"
" Magic users can't defend themselves, they wear cloth"
"Why?"
"bc, they use magic"
(... Seriously? Thinking like this is asinine, but I hear these conversations and see them on the forums all the time.)
