the way this kid is hated by so many people but he's the only one that's actually verbally apologizing to his friends when they don't often do that to him when they do something wrong towards him, and yeah they did multiple times too

Even El never apologized to him for lying for months about her own life but she can apologize because she does say it to Lucas about feeling guilty for not saving Max completely...

Mike is trying so hard with all of them and always feeling like he's the screw up when he's not the only one doing things wrong because the others have done it too towards him multiple times!! They are all kids growing up and learning from their mistakes! But no one wants to acknowledge it... except someone that sees Mike for who he really is and defends him and wants to take care of his feelings when he can

I love Maze Runner but it's so tragic that we didn't get to see more of how the fem group did in the maze trials. Especially since a lot of the boys group were quite combative, not openly emotional, etc.

I wonder if a group of girls would have been more protective/gentle or (alternatively) equally as discordant? Just in general I think it would be cool to explore or write :)
