My OTP is obviously GrayZa, so I'll post and reblog mostly things involving this couple. Also, I despize Gruvia, so you might find lots of hate towards it here.

You're anti-gruvia but you ship sasusaku?? When sasusaku is even more toxic?? Sakura has an unhealthy obsession with sasuke and even ruined her friendship with ino over him. She tried to kill him when she thought he was evil. She cared more about him noticing her than fighting in the war. She risked her pregnancy to follow him on a dangerous mission. She destroyed her house BC her daughter questioned her marriage. And all the while sasuke has said multiple times that he doesn't care about her.
I don’t really like comparing ships, but since you bring this up.
Sakura is not a stalker like Juvia is.
I don’t see Sakura obsessed over Sasuke. She was always in love with him, but didn’t go so far in developing an obsession for him as Juvia did with Gray.
With Ino, she only became her rival in the “battle” over Sasuke when they were very young. They both grew up and got past that rivalry over time. Ino remained her best friend.
About Sakura trying to kill him… well, Sasuke became pretty dangerous and very different to the boy she knew. He was a threat. And despite her love for him, she did face him. Which shows great courage.
Compared to Juvia, Sakura is a queen. And a much deeper and meaningful character than Juvia will ever be.
Maybe you see things differently than me, that’s perfectly fine. It’s your opinion. For me SasuSaku isn’t “toxic” at all, while Gr/uvia is onesided, cringe worthy, and yea, UNHEALTHY. Because it promotes certain things that are wrong. Like: stalking and obsessive behavior.

Let me tell you a very short story about a ship
There is this girl who met this guy and fell in love with him. She started following him, stalking him, picking up on girls that dared talking to him, even sexually harassing him. Basically she made an obsession about this guy. The guy, on the other hand, showed no sign of being attracted to her, even rejected her. And that’s the story.
Now, tell me: HoW ThE HecK ThiS BeCaMe SuCh A PoPuLaR sHiP?! WhO wOuLd ShIp tHIS???!

One thing I'll never understand is when Gruvia shippers say that Gray needs someone like Juvia because she's 'always there for him'. Like are you saying Natsu, Lucy, Erza - heck even the entire guild WOULDN'T be there for him?
A trend I’ve noticed with Gruvians - some, not all - is that they tend to act like Gray’s relationship with Juvia is at all unique, or that the stuff he does for her are somehow things that he wouldn’t do for anyone else.
Cares about her but doesn’t really like to admit it? He’s done that with Ur, Erza and Natsu - as early as the Lullaby arc. Wanted revenge on someone for killing people he cares about to the point of recklessness? Deliora. Literally Gray’s backstory. Juvia’s not special. (It’s not even like his apocalyptic rage is anything new either - when Ur found him he was lying in rubble injured swearing he was going to kill Deliora over and over to absolutely no-one. He just didn’t have the power to do anything about it.)
Distraught over Juvia’s death? Same thing when he thought Lyon had died in the Oracion Seis. The two scenes have a lot of similarities that I don’t think get brought up very often - Gray tried to reject the possibility that they were dead. In Lyon’s case, the body was nowhere near them, so (after tearing up), Gray said Lyon couldn’t be dead and immediately went looking. In Juvia’s, despite being confronted with her “corpse”, he still took a moment to talk to her like he could… unstab her or something. Anyway, in both cases he immediately slid into denial. With Lyon the denial was a lot more plausible, but given he followed the same pattern both times, and given Gray’s habit of falling into a rage when his loved ones die (re: his parents), if Lyon really had died Gray might have actually been affected by Nirvana.
Gray trying to bargain with Juvia’s “corpse” isn’t unique to Juvia either - when Ur was casting Iced Shell, Gray also tried to bargain with her - saying he’d follow her instructions if she stopped. Gray throwing himself in front of an attack to shield her is old hat as well, he did it for Natsu in the Tartaros arc (and the only reason Mard Geer’s attack didn’t work was because of Gray’s Devil Slayer magic).
In the case of “Gray needs someone that’ll be there for him!” specifically, I guess they’re referring to the separation after Avatar. What isn’t taken into consideration is that Gray deliberately distanced himself from the guild in preparation for the Avatar arc, as well as to master his new magic. I’m pretty sure that if he’d asked to stay with anyone from the guild, they wouldn’t exactly have turned him down.

Just so we’re clear...
Humour is this:
Happy versus a chair whilst the rest of the team are fighting demons and monsters!!
Humour is not this:
A woman who objectifies a man so much she deems it acceptable to have sponges, towels, stuffed toys etc with his face on which she implies that she uses for her own enjoyment.
Or this:
A woman who is blatantly rejected, but ignores the feelings of the ““one that she loves”” just so that she can be happy.
Comedic relief is this:
Natsu, Happy, and Plue making fools of themselves in front of the guild!! how funny!!
Comedic relief is not this:
A woman who would rather drug a man to force him to love her rather than simply accept that they are not meant to be.
Or this:
A woman who openly and unabashedly admits to trying to sleep - either metaphorically or literally - with a man who rejects her.
The definition of comedic relief is:
humorous content in a dramatic or literary work intended to offset more serious episodes.
And the definition of humour is:
the quality of being amusing or comic, especially as expressed in literature or speech.
The definition is not, “To make people feel uncomfortable whilst normalising stalking, emotional manipulation, sexual harassment, drugging, and abuse
I just wanted to clear this issue up

Some advice
Actually, since I see this surprisingly often, I’m going to extend a small hand towards said angry shippers.
If a post is tagged “anti gruvia” but not “gruvia”, for example, and you’re still seeing it in the gruvia tag, you’re not using the tag system, you’re using the search system.
Back in 2015-ish, Tumblr replaced the tag search function (which shows any post which was tagged with a certain keyword) with a word-finding search function. The tag search function is much more precise; if you’re still using the search function, you’re going to see any post which includes a word in any way, even if it’s just mentioned, or if it’s a blatant anti-post that was properly tagged.
But fear not! You can restore the tag search function with Xkit! Xkit, which 90% of people on Tumblr use (because Tumblr is an unuseable clusterfuck without it), has a handy extension called Classic Search.
Install this with one click of a button, and you will never again see an anti-gruvia post when you enter the word “gruvia” in the search bar~!
Now please stop bugging us. Because no one’s going to take you seriously if you suggest that people on tumblr should just “follow etiquette” by never posting anti opinions ever.

Is the same for all other ships! Fuck respect the tag and dont spam!
Is not that “now that i see your pro spam of the ship now i ship them” NO. IF I SEE YOUR PRO POST IN AN ANTI TAG I HATE THAT SHIP MORE.
(I respect all of ship but when that happen I hate that.)

The nice sound of breaking hearts of shipping girls in the afternoon... She became more persistant. Nice development. What is now about the argument they-lived-together-he-has-now-to-like-her-differently? I am mean. I know.

Why do I have the feeling that Gray is anti Gruvia too? If he was real, I bet he would’ve joined the anti gruvia fandom.

Rules of the Fangirls
These are important rules. Make sure to memorize all of them.
Warning for; A lot of sarcasm
Everything they say is correct. Everything you say is incorrect.
The mangaka is God, not a regular human who messes up every now and then. If you criticize anything the mangaka does, you’re a demon who should suffer.
If you criticize a character they adore, you deserve all the death threats you can get because harassing a real person and criticizing a fictional character are the same thing.
If you’re not happy with the ending of an anime or manga, you’re just salty because your ship didn’t become canon, even if your reason for being against it has nothing to do with shipping.
Whether you feel disgusted or get triggered because of an event in your past from seeing a certain pairing doesn’t matter. The fangirls are still allowed to try forcing their ship on you and eventually harass you if you refuse to bow down to their ship.
If they approach you with arguments and/or harassing comments and you give a good counter argument and/or a sassy reply, you’re the bully.
Fake interviews are official because they consist of things the fangirls want to hear.
Headcanons are also official, even if there are canon evidence that proves otherwise.
Using headcanons as reference/source makes their arguments valid and strong enough to counter the official interviews and canon material you have.
Crosstagging is ok when the fangirls do it, but you’re not allowed to since you would be insulting them.
It’s forbidden to use moral and common sense. Pedophilia, incest, rape, sexual abuse and mental abuse are all fine in anime and roleplays. If you consider any of these things as disturbing, you’re delusional and shouldn’t even exist.
It’s also forbidden to use logic. Character development and romantic development aren’t necessary for a good story.
If their shipping doesn’t become canon or if something happens to the character they adore, it’s your fault, not the mangaka’s because - as previously mentioned - the mangaka is God.
You’re forbidden to have your own opinion. You need to have the exact same interest and dislikes as them otherwise there’s something wrong with you.
Those are the basic things you have to deal with in order to survive a fandom. I decided to write this after seeing a casual fan of an anime stating that they were afraid of telling others what ship they like since they were terrified of getting harassed by fangirls. This list consists of 14 reasons why you shouldn’t be afraid or take offense to their harassing comments and threats. There’s nothing wrong with not supporting a mangaka’s choice or having a different opinion, even if you’re a part of the minority. You shouldn’t feel upset just because the fangirls can’t accept how real life works.Have good day and good luck out there.
