WHICH FLOWER ARE YOU?
Tumblr media
Forget-Me-Not
Nostalgic and introverted, you overthink previous moments in time and sometimes may appear to be a bit in your own world.
You are beautifully soft and quiet, speaking freely only around those who you feel most comfortable with.
Because of this quiet nature, you are terrified of being left behind, forgotten by those you encounter.
A bit melancholic by nature, you tend to forget your beauty, looking up to all of the sunflowers, roses, and cherry blossoms of the world.
But my darling, you are what draws the eye down to the pavement and the first to be picked by those seeking comfort.
Perk up and appreciate your worth my love.

raktanag:
Kalyan was slowly getting acquainted with his dorm mates, some took their beastman heritage a little too seriously and some other were more chill and friendly. Especially the little cubs he secretly helped, for an affordable price of course.
What if…?
“Well I could take the younger cubs and the friendliest ones with me and partake in your party”
Especially if they wanted to make a roast, he could never say no to some good roasted meat. He flashed a fanged smile “Sssign me up for it, Kalim. I’ll be there at… Hmmm”
He pulled out a little diary in which he had a couple names and time written.
“I’ll be free after half passst nine. I have to, errr… Help a couple of my ssstruggling classmates. Poor cubs. They have ssso much stress on their shoulders”
Shaking his head, he put the diary back in his pocket, sighing. “Luckily for them, i have many ways to help younger cubs. I’m a fasst learner and a good listener for all their problems”
He leaned in with an ear to ear fanged smile “If you have problemsss as well or some of your dorm matesss have, I’ll be glad to help”
Kalim shook his head in agreement, beaming at the other student. He really must be a kind hearted person to already be taking care of the younger students in his dorm. He could really relate to that, considering that he always kept a special eye on the younger students of his dorm. He couldn’t help but remember his little siblings when he saw them, so he always had to make sure they were doing alright. It was hard to turn off his big brother mode.
“Oh that would be great! Actually, we could organize a little party focusing on helping the first years mingle if we wanted! I know it can be so hard to get started when you’re new.”
He patted the taller boy on his arm, nodding his head a little bit.
“They’re lucky to have you. It’s so nice of you to look out for your littler classmates. Especially when you’re still new yourself! Don’t work too hard, okay? If you need help don’t be afraid to ask!”
The other’s last statement gave Kalim a bit of pause, and he mulled it over for a moment. He was uncharacteristically quiet for a moment, as if carefully considering something.
“Well.. It’s not me but, one of my friends did recently have a bit of issue. Truth be told I want to help him, but I’m not sure how.”

Ramshackle had never been a frequented place, at least not by people outside the dormitory, who would only knock to forcefully invade their space and then have a meltdown and make them clean it up.
But thanks to the Old King, those weeks had been quiet enough for a few new students to move in; it still didn’t seem real to her that the Mirror had sorted the new first-years into Ramshackle, a place that had been uninhabited since only by her, Yasujin and Grim for all these years.
While these thoughts clouded her mind, she made her way to the audible door-banging and found herself confronted by a boy a little shorter than her in the Scarab uniform “ Nieve? I’m sorry, I haven’t seen her. ” The princess confessed, she did not associate the name with a face, but as the other had said, she was one of the new first-year.
Should she have paid more attention? Ellen as the only third year present-
Although undecided because of the rising anxiety, she never liked speaking to new people outside of her friend circle, it was something she dragged since she was a small toddler “ But please, don’t stand out there in the cold, come in. ”
It’s awkward, of course. Keane knew how much the other dorms troubled Ramshackle. His own dorm had inconvenienced them terribly over the break when Jamil had his... incident. And of course he felt extra guilty knowing how much of the troubles they experienced stemmed from his uncle’s penchant for pushing responsibility on to students instead of dealing with things himself, as he should being the headmage.
Was it really right for him to take the hospitality of this house, knowing that? It seemed somewhat.. poor taste? But still. If she insisted.
“Oh. Sure, thank you. Are you sure it wouldn’t be an imposition? I’ll try not to be in your way until Nieve gets back here. “
He shyly stepped into the foyer, taking a proper look around the building. They must have fixed it up some at least, it wasn’t nearly as bad as he had been expecting. The few ghosts he saw going about their business further into the building surprised him, but as long as they were friendly towards the students he assumed that was fine. If they were anything like the ghosts who had given Idia trouble not long ago however...
He’d make it a point to ask about them later.
“Oh. My name is Keane, by the way. I don’t think I said so. We haven’t met before, have we?”

“ Ah, thanks.. ”
Craig sheepishly collected his things and cleared his throat. Welp, that was the end of that interaction, right? Now he picked up all his belongings, apologies have been exchanged, and now he could go about his day–
“ Um– ” Craig wasn’t even able to answer the other’s first question before being presented with the second one. Not that he was going to ask for anything anyway. The redhead did help him pick up his things, which was already more than he needed to do. So they were already even as far as he was concerned.
“ Not that it’s really important, but… ” blue eyes peeked up at the other student, arms tightening as the hastily-assembled bundle of books in his arms began to slip.  “ I’m Craig. First year. I’m– well, new. I haven’t really had the chance to meet many people yet. ”
After a moment, Rielle knitted his eyebrows together and stared at the younger student. That.. that wasn’t right. He didn’t like that one bit. Not at all.
“Don’t say that. It is important! You are important, you know? I’ve never met a single person who wasn’t important. So, please, don’t say it’s not. Your name is super important.”
He reached out to help the other straighten his books as they once again began to fall, offering a little smile. Hopefully this wasn’t coming on too strong, Rielle knew that he had a tendency to get kind of intense. But making friends was important to him, and showing people the respect they deserved even more so.
“Where were you heading? Can I walk with you? if you’re new you would probably like a bit of company right? I can tell you a bit about this place, maybe show you around a little? What do you say?”

Divus + Childhood/Teen years
Tumblr media
As is common with those in politics and their families, growing up everything in Divus’ life was governed by how it would be viewed to the public. Appearance was everything. He was always to be smiling and polite when they left the house as a family. He was only to attend the most prestigious of schools. He was to be watched and catered to by his nannies at all times, because of course Mummy and Daddy had very important work to be doing and just couldn’t manage to make it home most nights.
Divus’ life was a revolving door of nannies and attendants, only seeing his parents when there were cameras present. Soon he realized that being his parents’ good little pet wouldn’t earn him their attention, and he tired of being an accessory for them to pull out every time they wanted to play at being the perfect family. It was then that Divus decided he would pave his own way in life and stop conforming to how people expected him to be.
It started with his school uniforms. He had always hated looking just like everyone else. Why should he have to? He wasn’t like everyone else. He knew he was smarter than the rest of his class. He knew he was destined for something bigger than this. And thus began his long history of getting into trouble with authority.
The first people to ever truly respect Divus’ genius were Jasper and Horace, two boys that would go on to be his best friends. The duo were well known in his elementary school to be trouble makers. And this was only proven by the first time Divus met them, waiting outside of the principal’s office. Divus had gotten in trouble for fighting, having attacked a student who dared to make fun of the way he had customized his school uniform. Jasper and Horace had been caught stealing answer keys from the teachers’ room. And thus began a very beautiful partnership.
Horace and Jasper were the first pair of rotten puppies that Divus would polish into well trained pets. As he grew, strengthening his bond with the pair as they worked together to achieve their goals, he realized just how much he enjoyed tutoring them and helping to take their drab senses of fashion to the next level. And, of course, having them listen to his every word wasn’t an unsatisfying feeling. Divus came to realize that he rather liked being in power. He actually liked it very much.
He parted ways, at least temporarily, with his best friends when it came time to enroll at Night Raven Academy. But of course, that only presented him with new opportunities. He wasn’t surprised at all to be sorted into Pomefiore, because of course who would understand his genius quite like the Fairest Queen herself? The nature of his soul had to match hers. By his second year he had become Housewarden, keeping all the other students on a tight leash to ensure they upheld the honor of being called a Pomefiore house member.

twisted-legacies:
Tumblr media
Quentin seemed shocked for a little while before her eyes started to become glossy- and she pulled Nieve into a tight hug that seemed to engulf Nieve. The kind of hug that wasn’t suffocating or meant as a formality-It was a genuine hug that was meant to last as long as you needed it to-a hug full of empathy, a hug full of understanding-a hug full of love.
“I… I-I’m so sorry.” Quentin said from, and from the crack in her voice, she sounded like she was on the verge of tears despite Quentin not showing her face.
“That’s… horrible. The burden… of expectation not met… No… it’s the worst.” Quentin started to cry, for the tremors in her body and drops of warm water falling down. “It’s one of the worst feeling I’ve ever felt. Even after I… I’ve lost everything… my parents… my brother, and everyone else I love… And you’d think by now I’d learn. I’d learn just not…”
“I understand you.” Quentin said, and while she sounded sad, she also sounded hopeful. “Losing everything… It’s scary. It’s one of the scariest things to feel. Everyone leaving you for dead… it’s scary. Everything you’ve ever wanted, ever worked for… shattering in pieces right before your eyes… it’s terrifying.”
“But… I’m not going to leave you. I swear to Magic itself I won’t leave you to suffer by yourself.” Quentin said confidently, coming out from where her face was hiding to reveal, Quentin was indeed crying. But she had a serious look on her face, like she was making a promise to Nieve. “I’m never, ever going to leave you behind. I’ve been left behind by so many… You don’t deserve the same.”
There’s another faint laugh that bubbled up in Nieve’s thoat, just a little chuckle at first. And then slowly turning more and more into a faintly manic laugh. Her eyes began to well up with tears, becoming slightly clouded with an inky black look due to the residual blot that lingered in them. Her laugh leaked into little sniffles, face set into an obviously forced smile.
It had been a long time since someone who wasn’t one of the men in her family had hugged her, especially not like that. Even her own mother.. The various friends that she had made growing up in Briar Valley.. How many of them were still there when she needed someone to be there?
“I-It’s fine really. I’m used to it, you know? That just is what it is these days. I can- I can-”
And she is so used to putting on a brave face. She’s so used to smiling and nodding it off. She can’t cry without smiling anymore. Her immediate reaction is always to try and reassure those around her. She didn’t want them to worry about her. She knew she would be fine, after all. And more than that.. If she was smiling then they were less afraid she was about to overblot. She had to reassure them her feelings were safe. It’s okay. She wasn’t too sad. She wasn’t too hurt. Please.. Don’t look at her in fear.
There’s a crack in her voice, the laugh finally fading away to just quiet sobs. The topic of loss always hit her deep. She’d never acknowledged it before but..
“Wh-when I- When I lost my magic everything changed.. Everyone left me.. My friends- Th-the other fae.. Most of them think that I’m a disgrace.. A fae without magic.. None of them want anything to do with me anymore.. I-I’m scared- I’m scared that they...”
She clung a little tighter to Quentin, finally hugging her back instead of just sitting and allowing herself to be hugged. There was a reason she wouldn’t go near Diasomnia, the dorm that housed nearly all of Night Raven’s fae. They were a proud people, and their magic was their main pride. And they were a cruel people... Nieve had enough fae back home she had to hide from, knowing that just the crime of existing is enough for them to justify hurting her. She had enough scars to wear the shame of her condition on her skin these days, most from exactly that.
How funny it was that Fae always acted so proud and touted themselves as the best race while looking down on humans. Fae brought her almost nothing but pain, but this human so readily offered her comfort and love.

@redemptioninterlude - Alice
Gwydion sighed, running his hand over his hair for a moment. Somehow he didn’t think school would ever be as hectic for him as it was when he was a student. And certainly he was wrong. Being a staff member came with so many more things to fuss and fret over. Were students this undisciplined when he was in school? Somehow it feels like they’ve gotten worse. The Culture Fair was a hassle and a half to deal with, and he couldn’t be more thankful that there was only one day of it left. At least he knew he could rely on Riddle and the committee to run things smoothly.
He stepped out of his office after composing himself, gathering up the supplies he needed for the medical tent. With events like this it was sure that someone was going to get hurt. He had to be out there to make sure he could take care of it.
There was a faint noise of surprise that escaped him at the sight of someone in the hallway outside his door, and he looked at the stranger with wide eyes before clearing his throat.
“Pardon me, but all of the festivities are located on the other side of the building and outside. This area of the school is unfortunately off limits. If you are lost, I can escort you where you need to go. But I cannot allow you to stay here.”

@gamenu asked:  "Oi, this thing tha Prefec' had me fix. A ray-dee-oh? I's so cool! I's like a music box ya don' gotta wind up! An' i's got differen' songs too!" Rather excitable, the tinker-talent fairy is more than happy to share her findings with the other fae in the dorm. Sure you have one from Briar Valley, and one from an isolated island...but they can get along in their discoveries of the modern world together, right? Placing the radio on the counter between the two, Naira pushes the button to turn it on and listens to the static filled music that comes from it. "Amazing!"
Tumblr media
Nieve peered down at the little box with interest, cocking her head slightly to the side as it began to play music. She had little music boxes when she was young, probably still had them tucked away somewhere if she was honest, but they looked nothing like this. And each one of them required the little wind up that the other had mentioned this one lacked.
“Where is the dancing princess? Ive never seen a music box without a little trinket to spin and dance on it. And it plays multiple songs? How?”
Nieve loved learning about things from the other countries. She would even boast to say that with her unique situation she knew much more than most about them, living in one of the very few personal residences in Briar Valley that was equip with electricity. But this was nothing short of amazing to her.
“How did you fix it? What was wrong?”

Cater + Magicam
Tumblr media
Because of Cater’s father being an important figure in his job with the bank, Cater’s family often found themselves moving as his job moved from one branch to another. Of course when moving every two years or so, keeping in contact with the friends he left behind became harder and harder on Cater. Not to mention learning how to make friends quickly, knowing he would just have to leave again in the not so distant future.
Over time, these friendships became more and more superficial as Cater came to terms with the fact that no matter what he would just end up being pulled away from them just like the last group of friends. He stopped sharing as much information about his personal life, instead listening to his friends talk about themselves as much as they wanted. His hobbies and interests fell to the wayside as he let his friends decide what they wanted to do for the day. After all, when all your relationships are on a timeclock you need to make your friends as quickly as possible. And giving someone everything they liked was the fastest way to get them to like you. He needed friends to make sure the next two years weren’t spent alone, and it didn’t matter if they learned anything important about him. When he was gone they would just forget about him and return to how it was before he had transferred there anyway.
The summer between elementary and middle school Cater was given his first smart phone. His mother had finally conceded after much asking and begging, so that Cater might be able to stay in contact with some of his friends when their inevitable next move came around. And of course the gift softened the blow of being told, once again, it was time to start packing. During a particularly tearful goodbye with his current group of friends one of them introduced him to the world of Magicam.
What originally started as a way to keep in contact with his old friends quickly spiraled into something more. Each new follower brought Cater a new bit of joy, each like was a small taste of the validation that he so desperately craved. With each selfie and witty caption, Cater would watch the notifications flow in and for the first time he actually felt seen. He finally had, right in his hands, the proof that people did like him. Of course he had friends, look how many likes his most recent selfie had gotten! How could he ever feel lonely? His inbox was overflowing with DMs.
After all, it was better to be at a party with thousands of people he didn’t know, than to sit at home alone. At least the lights were on, and the music was playing.

The Crowleys + Family Lineage/Secrets
Put under a cut as it is image heavy and thus somewhat long
Tumblr media
When it comes to the fae of Briar Valley, Crowley has been a widespread name for generations. While perhaps not the most high class of fae lineage’s, they were certainly well known and recognized as powerful despite the eccentric personalities their bloodline tended to possess. The Crowley lineage has produced many famous mages and warriors through out their family tree. Descendants of the Crowley line are easily identified by their crow-like appearances (When not glamoured to appear more human) and many by their signature piercing golden eyes. They have garnered enough fame and notoriety to be considered a noble lineages of Briar Valley.
When concerning our slice of the brady bunch of bird fae, the Crowley children are born to Aleister Crowley, brother of Dire Crowley, and his wife, Rosemary. Together, they have raised nine children.
Tumblr media
Gwydion Crowley is the oldest. He is a graduate of Night Raven College, a former House Warden of Heartslabyul. Currently, he is serving as a healer at Night Raven College.
The second eldest is a sister, graduate from Nightingale Academy (Night Raven’s sister school)
The third eldest is currently enrolled at Night Raven College in his fourth year,  member of Diasomnia.
Tumblr media
The next in line are the triplets. All three are boys in their third year at Night Raven College. Everard is a member of Ignyhide, and his multiples are in Savanaclaw and Pomefiore.
Next is another brother, currently a second year in Octavinelle.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And of course the youngest are Keane and Nieve. Keane is a first year in Scarabia, and Nieve is a first year in the Ramshackle dorm.  They have been raised as twins.
(Those with no image and name listed are listed that way because they are owned by my lovely writing partner Tea and I don't want to release information on them Tea might not be ready to release)
Each of the Crowley siblings firmly have their place in the family.
Gwydion is the parentified oldest sibling. He is the caretaker of the group who has gotten used to stepping up to take care of his younger siblings. He even took his job at NRC because it puts him closer to his siblings and gives him the opportunity to make sure they are okay and he is there if they need him.
Everard has the so called "middle child syndrome." Being both in the middle of the birth order, and the middle triplet, Everard has taken to feeling ignored by the rest of his family. Rather than fight for his spot in the pecking order, he instead has pulled in on himself. As such he is the most antisocial of the Crowley children, and is highly independent to the point of being resentful of help.
Keane is the golden child. His parents knew that would be their last pregnancy, and thus already had the mindset of "this is my last chance of having a sweet baby to coo over" causing him to be showered with the affections of his parents. Along with this, he excelled at magic from a very young age. His parents, noticing this, continuously pushed him harder and harder to "live up to his potential genius" causing him to frequently be overwhelmed with the pressure of hsi parent's expectations.
And lastly, there is Nieve. Even before the discovery of her hyper sensitivity to blot Nieve, while maintaining a fairly close relationship with all her siblings (though her relationship with her sister has some tension to it, but that is for another post) never managed to form a close bond with her parents, and especially not her mother. Her parents were always more focused on other children, more invested in the lives of her siblings. Meanwhile, Nieve was left on the sidelines. This was balanced, somewhat, by the close relationship she had with her uncle, Dire. These special visits with her uncle fueled her intense desire to one day attend Night Raven College and make her uncle proud. And of course, when she discovered her condition, all of those hopes and dreams of being a powerful mage like the rest of her family, of attending the same school as her brothers, of, in her mind, making anything of herself at all came crashing down. Her parents dutifully took her to her appointments, helped her adjust to all her medicine, and offered her support when she needed it, but never enough. Nieve always felt overlooked. Offered nothing more than a pat on the head and then pushed aside. Nearly all of her life was permeated with an almost palpable longing, though she could never put her finger on what she was longing for or why.
The truth of the matter, the family secret known only by their parents and uncle Dire, is that Nieve is not actually their sibling at all. She is their cousin. Nieve Crowley was born a few weeks before Keane Crowley. She was born to Dire Crowley and his mate, Nimue. However, shortly after her birth, Nieve's mother proved to be too weak to survive the birthing process. Facing the loss of his love, and fearing having to see her in the face of their daughter every day, Dire passed his daughter on to his brother and his pregnant wife who when she gave birth a short time after claimed that the babies were twins. Dire proceeded forward claiming that his child perished at the same time her mother did, and thus Nieve was raised by her aunt and uncle ever since. However, this secret has always hung over the heads of the adults involved, coloring how they interacted with Nieve and her siblings.
