India women vs South Africa women 2nd ODI, live cricket score: Proteas near 150 after India picks six wickets
India W vs South Africa W 2nd ODI: Follow the live cricket score streaming updates as Mithali Raj-led India takes on Sune Luus' South Africa at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow.
SA 140/6 after 36 overs: In the air and taken! Goswami picks up another as Trisha Chetty is caught at midwicket. Scratch that. Goswami has overstepped and Chetty survives. Unlucky for India after Goswami cramped Chetty to hit the ball straight to Mandhana on the on-side. The umpires refer upstairs for the no-ball review and the replays suggest that Goswami has bowled a no-ball.
SA 130/6 after 34 overs: Kaur to Goodall. OUT! A wicket first ball for Harmanpreet! Goodall falls short of a well-deserved half-century as she is cleaned up by Kaur. Kaur balls a regulation fuller ball that manages to sneak past Goodall's defense to rattle the stumps. India stomps further into the Proteas and Kaur bowls a wicket-maiden to warm up! Lara Goodall b Kaur 49 (77b 2x4)
Harmanpreet Kaur into the attack...
SA 130/5 after 33 overs: India has well gained the foothold at the moment as Mithali continues to mix up her bowlers well. Goswami and Poonam have carved out a few tight overs and SA is reeling in its bid to eye a 200-plus total.
SA 119/5 after 30 overs: Goswami to Kapp. OUT! India strikes right after the drinks break! Kapp attempts a flick straightaway after resumption. The shot, not a bad idea against Goswami straighter length but Kapp fails to time it well and induces an edge. The ball sails straight to Deepti Sharma at mid-wicket and India has five. South Africa is rocked hard here and India's senior star Goswami does the damage. Marizanne Kapp c Sharma b Goswami 10 (16b 2x4)
SA 113/4 after 29 overs: And SA goes past 100 after some tussle. Goodall continues to build after an excellent display against spin. The hard-hitting Kapp has joined her while Poonam Yadav's rough patch with the ball continues.
SA 99/4 afte 26 overs: Rajeshwari to Mignon du Preez. OUT! An excellent catch at cover by Deepti Sharma! The lead batter of the SA lineup is back to the hut as Rajeshwari Gayakwad lures a false shot from Mignon. Good flight on the delivery outside the off-stump and Mignon attempts to drive it through covers. She fails to reach the ball and ends up hitting it through the air. Deepti Sharma intercepts it in quick time and completes a safe catch as India strikes the fourth wicket. Mignon du Preez c Sharma b Gayakwad 11 (20b 1x4)
SA 95/3 after 25 overs: Halfway through and India has done a commendablel job to return well against Proteas here. The spinners have been dealt fairly well but SA batters still finding it difficult to pierce the gaps.
SA 87/3 after 23 overs: Mignon starts in some style. Mansi makes a rare blip in line as she offers a wide delivery right in Mignon's arc and she cashes in with an excellent boundary.
SA 80/3 after 21 overs: OUT! Mansi strikes again! And it's the SA skipper that has to walk back! A cracking outswinger provokes a loose stroke from Luus whose edge carries straight to Sushma Verma behind the stumps. Sensational piece of bowling from the young pacer. Luus falls after stitching a crucial partnership for SA. Mansi finishes the over with a brilliant yorker first-up to Mignon du Preez. Sune Luus c †Verma b Joshi 36 (57b 5x4)
SA 76/2 after 19 overs: Fine return from Mansi. Goodall manages just a sole run of the over. A hint of shape off the seam for Mansi here and it still manages to trouble the batters.
Mansi Joshi is back into the attack.
SA 75/2 after 18 overs: 50-run stand for Luus and Goodall! This has been a tremendous recovery from the Proteas and Poonam Yadav has conceded 10 runs off her first over. Poor start from Poonam as she loops in two loose deliveries with Luus cracking them to the boundary.
Latest sarkari Naukri in 2021
SA 65/2 after 17 overs: Rajeshwari continues to push in the loopy deliveries and both Luus and Goodall are happy to employ the sweep to either side of the wicket. Skipper Mithali have placed the fielders for that particular shot and the South Africa has to deal with singles at the moment.
SA 56/2 after 15 overs: Goodall lunges down and smashes Rajeshwari for a cracking boundary down the ground. South Africa is picking up the pace and the left-handed Goodall continues to attempt her sweeps of varying kinds against the spinners, yet to ace one to the boundary though!
SA 51/2 after 14 overs: 50 up for South Africa! Luus and Goodall have recovered well to collect the runs in slowly after India struck early by removing the openers. The batters have played with a positive mindset against the spinners even as the runs have been hard to come by.
SA 49/2 after 13 overs: A couple of quiet overs chipped in by Deepti and Rajeshwari as Luus and Goodall is finding it difficult to pierce the gaps.
Meanwhile, another record beckons the Indian skipper!
Most matches in Women's international cricket:-
310* - MITHALI RAJ
309 - Charlotte Edwards
262* - Jhulan Goswami
SA 41/2 after 11 overs: Luus and Goodall rotate strike with a mix of singles and doubles. Goodall has shown a penchant for the sweep first-up against the spin and it might well go onto be a productive shot against India's slower bowlers here.
Rajeshwari Gayakwad replaces Jhulan Goswami.
SA 37/2 after 10 overs: Deepti keeps it tight in her first over and the Indians have been proactive on the field. Goodall attemps to sweep Deepti to the boundary but forces on the boundary keep it down to a single.
First signs of spin as Deepti Sharma enters the attack.
SA 35/2 after 9 overs: What a spell this has been from Goswami! Continues to beat the edge of the batters who have kept the tide low against this fine opening spell.
SA 30/2 after 8 overs: Another boundary for Luus as Mansi errs with the length. Over-pitched and Luus aces the drive through the covers. She has copped a fine spell from the pacers but has latched onto any loose ball with precision.
SA 25/2 after 7 overs: Crisp from Goswami! Beats the edge off Luus and nearly gets the third wicket for India. Luus caught in two minds as she plays down the wrong line, expecting the seaming-in delivery. Goswami keeps it full and forces the ball to hold its line to trouble the SA captain.
SA 23/2 after 6 overs: Mansi to Wolvaardt. OUT! India strikes again! Excellent spell of bowling from Mansi and there she has her reward as she packs the menacing Wolvaardt cheaply. The out-swinger has done its bit as Mansi keeps it outside the off-stump line and Wolvaardt attempts a faint nudge with her feet nowhere near the line of the ball. Sushma Verma grabs a simple catch behind the stumps and there's an excellent start for India. Laura Wolvaardt c Sushma Verma b Mansi Joshi 9 (13b, 2*4)
SA 20/1 after 5 overs: Luus and Wolvaardt continue to take it slow with the Goswami and Mansi bowling well in tandem. While Goswami has brought in the ball inward to the Proteas pair, Mansi has troubled with the away swinge.r
SA 14/1 after 4 overs: Mansi continues to find that away movement. Sune Luus is pepped with a few and Joshi gets a little ambitious as she pitches one full and is creamed to the boundary by the Proteas skipper.
SA 10/1 after 3 overs: Goswami continues to attack the stumps. A shade of uneven bounce with the fuller deliveries to Wolvaardt keeping a tad low onto her feet.
SA 9/1 after 2 overs: Fine start from Mansi Joshi! Gets some away swing right away to trouble Wolvaardt. Mansi beats the bat in succession and SA put under the pump first up here.

‘Hand-picked by RSS chief’, Mithun Chakraborty expected to play ‘big role’ in Bengal BJP
Mithun Chakraborty’s induction into BJP comes as party looks to challenge Trinamool Congress in 2021 assembly elections, with sights set on forming first-ever govt in Bengal.
Kolkata: Dressed in dhoti-kurta, an attire associated with ‘bhadralok Bengali (Bengali gentleman)’, yesteryear Bollywood superstar Mithun Chakraborty, 70, announced his return to politics Sunday during a BJP campaign rally also attended and addressed by PM Narendra Modi.
His entry into the BJP comes over four years after he quit the Trinamool Congress amid the storm kicked up by the Saradha Ponzi scam.
BJP leaders said RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat had been key to scripting Chakraborty’s comeback to politics. Just two weeks ago, Chakraborty had met Bhagwat over breakfast at his residence in Mumbai.
Speaking to ThePrint, BJP sources said Chakraborty, “handpicked by Bhagwat”, has returned to politics as the RSS chief’s emissary for Bengal.
They did not want to specify the exact role etched out for the dance superstar, but BJP sources said he is expected to play a “bigger role” than a “routine candidate or a star campaigner”. They did not rule out the possibility of him being considered as the party’s CM face in the state.
“We will probably not promote him or anyone as CM candidate going by our party’s policy, but he is handpicked by Mohan Bhagwat ji. So, he is not a routine member or a candidate. He will play a larger role,” said a senior BJP leader.
A second senior BJP leader referred to Chakraborty as an “RSS recruit”. “The top faces in the BJP are from the Sangh. Chief ministers are not chosen without the Sangh’s consent,” the leader said. “Mithun da has directly been sent by Bhagwat ji. We have no doubt about his importance in the election now. He might be given the most significant role. Bhagwat ji does not go and meet random people like this.”
Reached for comment, BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijaywargiya said Chakraborty “is inspired by Modi ji, but there is no way to deny his association with the Sangh”.
“He is highly motivated by the Sangh and the ideology. We were in touch with him for the past three years, but Sangh has an ultimate influence on him,” he added.
About his probable role or profile in the party, he said, “He wants to work for the poor. We have not decided on his profile. He will be our star campaigner. But there should not be much speculation about him being the party’s CM face.”
After his meeting with Bhagwat last month, Chakraborty described it as the result of “spiritual connection” and nothing political. He had also visited the RSS headquarters in October 2019.

Liverpool vs Chelsea: Jurgen Klopp Rues "Massive Blow" After Chelsea Defeat
Jurgen Klopp admitted Liverpool's 1-0 defeat against Chelsea was a "massive blow" as his troubled club lost five successive home games for the first time in their history. Klopp's side were condemned to unprecedented misery at Anfield by Mason Mount's superb strike late in the first half on Thursday. After storming to their first English title in 30 years last season, injury-hit Liverpool have endured a wretched defence of the crown and now face an uphill struggle just to finish in the top four.
With 11 games left, seventh-placed Liverpool are languishing four points behind Chelsea in fourth.
Reds boss Klopp conceded losing to a direct rival for the Champions League places was a big setback, especially as his team are mired in a miserable run of five defeats in their last six league games.
"It is not about Anfield or whatever, it is in general, too often. In the decisive moments we have to improve," Klopp said.
"You cannot say it is only at home. We have to show our quality in these moments and we don't do that often enough.
"It was a tight, intense game. It is a massive blow. We have to win football games. It is not done yet."
Klopp was unhappy with Liverpool's defending for Mount's goal as Fabinho was left trailing in the midfielder's wake.
He was also frustrated by their lack of cutting edge up front, with leading scorer Mohamed Salah hauled off after an hour.
"You have to defend differently and we didn't do well there. In the end we conceded one goal, we made the mistake there," he said.
"You can say it was good defending by Chelsea but with all the possession we had you need to have more chances. Everything was really good until the final pass."

Manchester United stumble in Premier League race with draw at Crystal Palace
Manchester United were held to a third successive 0-0 draw in all competitions after they failed to break down Crystal Palace in a dour Premier League clash played in foggy conditions at Selhurst Park on Wednesday.
- Olley: Fernandes could use upcoming FIFA break to get rest - Stream ESPN FC Daily on ESPN+ (U.S. only) - ESPN+ viewer's guide: Bundesliga, Serie A, MLS, FA Cup and more
The result left United second on 51 points from 27 games, 14 behind runaway leaders Manchester City ahead of the Manchester derby on Sunday while Palace stayed 13th on 34 points.
"It's disappointing. We were just a little bit off. If you're not spot on you won't win games. Palace always make it hard for you," United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said after the match."
After goalless stalemates at Chelsea on Sunday and against Real Sociedad, which completed a 4-0 aggregate win over the Spanish side in the Europa League last Thursday, a weary-looking United lacked edge again.
"In the second half we never got going. "Sometimes it's human nature, sometimes you don't work at your best. Today we didn't. It's been a long season - I'm not blaming that because everyone has the same season. You're playing against a good team who make you play the way they want to," Solksjaer added.
Striker Edinson Cavani was a surprise starter after missing the last four games with a muscle injury and he spurned a gilt-edged chance in the 14th minute when he skied a close-range shot over the bar.
Nemanja Matic and Marcus Rashford also went close for United in the first half before a superb Joel Ward clearance denied Cavani a tap-in from three metres in the 44th minute.
Andros Townsend fired just wide for Palace on the hour and the home side then missed the game's best chance in the 90th minute as Dean Henderson kept out Patrick van Aanholt who was one-on-one with the United goalkeeper.
"That's a Man United goalkeeper, sometimes you have to keep concentrating. He's growing in that position. I thank him for one point and not zero," Solskjaer said, adding that David de Gea's absence was due to a personal matter.
