afternoon
so today was my first day back at school, it was alright. science was incredibly long and boring as usual.
my school has decided to put a new rule in place stating that students aren’t allowed to go to the toilets during lesson, and have to be escorted if it’s an emergency which i personally find ridiculous. not everyone goes to the toilet to cause mischief, it just sucks for the sensible students or students who just need to go to the toilet.
not a lot happened today to be honest, so that’s all.
have a good day :)

avatar the way of water movie review!
it’s a very long movie, but i do think that’s necessary to get everything needed for the plot into the film. and the plot is just incredible, everything slides into place in the film very nicely and it creates quite a bit of tension for the audience as we’re not exactly sure what might happen.
i think because of the length of the movie it would be easy for someone to get bored but because there are multiple shifts of focus throughout it gains the attention of the watchers again.
the visuals in this film are honestly my favourite part, i know avatar is known to produce one of the most magnificent pieces of cinematography, but this film truly lives up to those standards, going past it almost. the darker look of the forest is replaced with some beautiful lighter colours and shades, and i do think the special effects and designers deserve so many compliments for the film.
there were a lot of emotional ups and downs which i personally like, there were a lot of points where i was laughing and others where i was balling my eyes out, which i think is the perfect balance for a movie. it really made me feel as though i was in their world, feeling every emotion that the characters felt.
my only critique is the length of the film. as much as it’s an amazing film, it’s not something i would want to rewatch due to how long it is, but other peoples opinions might differ on this. i think a lot of scenes are dragged out a bit too long, but it’s bearable.
let me know if you’d like me to do any other movie reviews :D

morning
so yesterday i went to watch the new avatar movie, and i don’t think i’ve ever cried so much at a film. the plot was incredible as well as the cinematography throughout, probably one of the most gorgeous and touching films i have ever seen that really make you think about family values and bravery.
after watching the movie, me and my friend olivia went to go find some toilets as we were desperate but the queue in the cinema was too long, and as we were looking i spotted a man who was getting ready to sleep outside, and i couldn’t watch. so i decided to give him £20.
i hate saying this, but i do regret giving him the money personally, because he began frightening me and my friend quite a lot- he’d be talking and then stop for a moment before bouncing back up and just being a bit weird, which i don’t like to say but i think next time i’ll just give some money anonymously or through a charity.
today i’m seeing my boyfriend finally, we’re going to watch the lord of the rings together and probably order some food which will be nice. last time i saw him we watched the hobbit, so i suppose we mutually decided to go through tolkiens works. i do love his work though, the creativity is amazing and the way there is so much attention to detail is so impressive.
i think i’ll write a movie review separately to this blog for avatar.
have a good day :)

happy new year!
last night i hung out all day with my best friend olivia and her family, i was very disappointed at the fact my boyfriend couldn’t be with me this year but there’s always next year.
i didn’t drink too much, got a bit tipsy but nothing too bad. olivia’s older sister and her friends convinced me to take two shots, but i was still alright.
me and olivia ended up going to her neighbours house for the night to look after their adorable dog dexter, it was weird staying in a strangers house but they had a king sized bed which was amazing. we were very worried that we’d wake up too late and the house owners would come home and find us fast asleep in their bed, but we woke up on time.
today me and olivia are going to go watch the new avatar movie with two of our friends, which should be good, except for the fact it’s three hours long. we’re listening to teen beach movie songs right now.
i’m not entirely sure that this is how you write a blog, so anyone reading this please let me know if i’ve made any mistakes :)
