The Sega CD had such a wonderful library. It’s a shame they didn’t just go with the CDX or WonderMega from the start. We could have had years of SEGA CD gaming before the 5th gen hit. Likely would have informed developers as to how to develope for disc driven systems as well. Such is life. We still got some fantastic games out of it.

The Sega Ages 2500 Series: Part 1 In the early days of SEGA’s exodus from console developement, there was a slew of fantastic ports and remakes. With a total 35 games ported from past SEGA platforms exlcusively to the #PS2 it was the start of Sony being the dominant SEGA console of its generation. There was a focus on Rail Shooters, Arcade Brawlers, Fighting Games and Collections. The brand seemed an active attempt by SEGA to bring many Sega Saturn titles over as possible. Most titles were budget efforts. Presumably to both hold a fire sale and more easily steep the Sony Market in cheap, available SEGA lore.
The 2500 series would never see a release in the PAL or US regions, instead we would recieve the SEGA GENESIS Collection. This gathered several of the 3D entries in one package. Major oomissions from the western release are: the highly praised Panzer Dragoon, Nights and Sega Rally ports.
Sony would go on to host more of Sega’s games than any other console of its generation. The #Playstation2 became the home of exclusive core franchises like Shinobi, Ecco the Dolphin, Sakura Taisen and Shining Force. These titles were true next gen efforts from Sega sold at full price. Sega expanded its library further with new series like Super Monkey Ball and Yakuza.

I have to fly to KY on my birthday all so that, 4 months out from her passing, my babies ashes can be released to us.
Being held hostage in every aspect of my life for as long as I have lived...hoped the kids I co raised wouldn't go through the same. Turns out their torture via authority came all the same.
Writing here because it's officially the only place I'm not punished for experiencing pain and expressing.
