It's been a long time since I've changed posts here, during this time I've been able to change a bunch of fandoms. Here are some drawings of Lawrence that I drew recently! ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و

This comic has been my only source of comfort for the past few days. It’s messy, it’s a little strange, but i’m glad i made it.
( @0harpies does this make you feel ANYTHING bro. Because this either means I’m super sensitive or you’re just unnaturally chill with your own existence)

A edit i made of Red Wine Drunk Randy. I legit spent so much time on the internet trying to see if I can find a edit for a meme i was gonna make and I couldn’t. so I was like…. Let me make my own. Tbh the edit isn’t the best, I made this on procreate since my janky computer cant handle photoshop. It isn’t perfect but I’ve never edited official stuff before. :))

I feel as if Stan is more of a foil to Cartman than Kyle is purely on the basis of personalities and not relationships (as obviously Kyle is the character that comes up against Cartman the most in plots) but I can’t figure out why I feel this way or if I’m right in this and I wanted to know your thoughts on this subject if you have any?
I can see that! My best guess for why you feel that way would be Stan and Cartman are more similar than Cartman and Kyle are and often take on the same role in the group (that is they both act as leader). They both often get tripped up by their egos, Kyle and Cartman are often at more extreme sides of morality-- for instance, Cartman finding farting in someone's face funny, and eventually Kyle grows out of finding jokes about that topic on Terrance and Phillip funny at all, while Stan's more in the middle of it: he still thinks Terrance and Phillip are funny, even to the end of finding Kyle's being a buzzkill about it, but recognizes how it hurts people in real life applications.
Stan and Cartman have a closer alignment for the role of leadership they take on, some of the flaws they have, and some of the things they like superficially, which makes the contrast starker when they differ--like back in Beaverton, they were out there having fun in the water and both didn't have a problem fucking around past what they SHOULD have. It's not an activity Kyle was likely to get involved in from the jump. But even if Stan didn't want to get in trouble, he immediately worried about the possibility of hurting beavers and what Cartman's made-up relative would think about the boat (also worth noting Cartman had to add a little lie in to make it 'okay' to Stan). The core of being willing to goof off in a way that's stupid and dangerous is the same, but ONE character gets eaten up thinking about what they might have done and the other doesn't.
The similarities vs the very drastic differences are what make Stan a good foil to Cartman.
