Jesus sent his followers out to the world; I guess this is one of the places St. Paul’s counsel to be “in the world, but not of the world” applies. Jesus himself knew or recognized that serpents can be emulated. He made all things, “and it was good”. (Genesis 1:25). The enemy’s influence cannot and will not overshadow the Almighty’s influence.
