Few minutes left and I'm laughing at how people are voting for Wheeljack
Fyi if you voted for the "..." option then your votes will be divided evenly between Wheeljack and Scalpel because that was just for me to press so I could see the results without skewing the poll in either direction
So I talked with @yayasvalveplay more about the Soulmate AU and also about DW and here's a fun question in regards to Formyle~
Feel free to send propaganda - y'all get 24 hours on this~

LMFAO
So true - then there's Peacekeeper who has to keep the fact that his Soulmate is a fucking Decepticon Air General a secret (He was able to dodge being tested, for now) while Goofball's either hasn't emerged yet when she got tested or hers was revealed when the Stunticons were doing a show on a neutral planet/colony.
As for Formyle.... I have no fucking idea who I want to stick with him, but it will not be a happy occasion for either party. Or maybe they were a match made by Unicron himself in how terrible they are for each other and for everyone around them, and they make it everyone's problem.
But yesssssssss the forehelm touching!!!
You know what I just realized for the Soulmate Stuff?
Imagine your sona was just outside of Decepticon Space when Elita-1 got tested, so she was in the clear. But then your sona feels the pain Elita went through when she became Blackarachnia.
YES YES YES YES.
Artillery and teh DJD where in Autobot space, trying to capture Deadlock. Hence why both Elita and Sentinel passed. But then when she got turned into a spider, Artillery almost transformed and threw everyone out because the pain was just SOO much. Of course she wasn't the only one affected Tarn was as well.
And with how close they were, Tarn redirected her to find out where their soulmates are at.
Finding and saving them from that organic planet.
Blackarachnia being so confused when she sees the ship and no one else that her bond completes. And then Everyone is let out, Tarn and Sentinel have their moment before she's transforming, so she can be face to face with her fated mate.
Blackarachnia's jaw dropping because her mate is a shuttle former!?

It is quite literally the sweetest thing ever!!
Especially Blackarachnia's bafflement over the identity of her soulmate. Just...a massive fucking shuttle, who also happens to be the DJD Ship.
But the latter part is not as important as the fact that she has a fucking shuttle!! A shuttle for a soulmate!!
There's also the fact that they're all Decepticons lmfao.
(Meanwhile I'm remembering how the FAIL Team likely has their own soulmates as well lmfao)

I'm just imagining what will happen in Bred for War when Blurr and Goofball both find out about the 5 bitties.
Blurr is definitely going to make plans to murder Perceptor and Wheeljack for using his CNA and combining it with Shockwave's to create what he soon learns to be 28 or more sparklings.
Goofball will want to join Blurr in those murder plans when she learns of the 27 or more sparklings made using her CNA and Shockwave's. And then she will be challenging Shockwave to a custody battle for the three bitties made with her CNA until they come to an agreement for a 50/50 split custody arrangement.
But it was definitely a lot of arguing there, and maybe a few death threats.
"You have two - three, can't forget Wheelie - with Blurr already, and probably more on the way!"
"And? They were made using my CNA without my consent."
"They were also made using my CNA without my consent!"
Blurr just sitting there until he says: "Just split custody evenly."
"....Good idea."

Meanwhile Megatron only had 16 Sparklings made using his CNA along with another's that he's unaware of at present. There's no telling if they tried using his CNA with other bots - maybe too many were incompatible and only Optimus's was compatible.
Who knows. Be funny if Perceptor and Wheeljack decided to try and see if Sentinel's CNA could mix with Megatron's - only to get Sparklings that were so deformed that they could not possibly survive gestation.
Ultra Magnus got the same results as Sentinel's CNA mixing with Megatron's when he had his CNA used.
So until they could find another that's suited to have Sparklings produced with Megatron's CNA, they put it on a shelf with Shockwave's that's labelled "Do Not Use"
They also put Ultra Magnus's CNA on a shelf with other Autobot CNA that's labelled as "Presently Incompatible with Current Decepticon Samples"
Sentinel's CNA did not get put on that shelf because they found it is compatible with Tarn's CNA - but they only made one Sparkling from it so far. ( @mionkingsvibe gotta include your boy Requiem here)
SB-27: Electrolyte
SB-28: Protolyte
Thank you again @misspancake29 for the name suggestions!!
Shockwave got to name two of the bitties, though he soon realized that there were a total of 28 produced between him and Blurr with him acting as the Sire.
Then he learned from Transcendental and Illogica that they were the 10th and 24th produced between him and a presently unknown second bot, with him acting as the Sire. That's 24 in total.
As for Fractal, she was the 3rd produced between him and the same unknown second bot - but the difference is that had it been done through more natural means, then he would have been the Carrier. Make that count 27.
That's 55 sparklings created using his CNA alone, and perhaps more were produced that he's unaware of - but he will only meet 5 out of those 55 or more.

The FAIL Team in: Autobots Win (Part 1: Goofball)
So I decided I wanted to write something really painful for @yayasvalveplay's Autobots Win AU~
@mionkingsvibe has also seen a bunch of the snippets and yeah
Hope y'all enjoy~
----
Something about this did not sit right with Goofball.
Even if she was back on the world where she and her brother emerged, it was not under circumstances that she could consider a good thing.
In fact, to say her last memory of Archon was not a pleasant one would be an understatement—but she kept those thoughts to herself as she watched members of her assigned team interrogate the bots who had long since made a living on this world.
A chunk of them glared at her and her team, especially at the bright red brands they all wore; not that she could blame them for this level of distrust considering what happened the last time Autobots came to this world.
And it’s not like any of them would even recognize her now, not after all the changes she had to go through when brought to Cybertron to help her fit in better with her fellow Autobots. Her servos briefly running over the sides of her waist where she felt like something was missing there, some type of kibble that should have been there but was no longer present. She doesn’t even remember what was there anymore, only that whatever it was was gone now—likely deemed too Decepticon-like for the tastes of those living on Cybertron.
Goofball could hear Dogma hounding at one of the residents from the nearby hab complex, saying that by order of Ultra Magnus all Neutral Worlds are now part of the Autobot Commonwealth and any and all Decepticon activity is to be reported to the Autobots.
Where they would then immediately detain the Decepticons and bring them to Cybertron so they can be sent straight to Trypticon where their ultimate fate will be determined based on how much of a potential threat they are.
Though she’s certain a majority of Decepticons imprisoned would be sent straight to the smelters.
She did not really pay attention to those on her assigned team, instead more focused on her surroundings and just how much things have changed here.
Her peds almost moved on instinct as she walked down the streets, taking in the sights around her. One building she’s certain had a small toy shop where her Carrier would bring her and her brother to so they could each pick something out.
And over there was a simple cafe which had some of the best snacks she and her brother ever had.
Followed by that area with four broken posts still stuck in the ground—an old swing set that was destroyed when the Autobots uncovered a Decepticon recruiting station on this world.
She remembered the cycles when she would swing as high as possible to mimic what it would feel like to fly with her family.
These nostalgic memories that flooded her processor made her wonder if their old secret base was still intact.
Most of those on her assigned team were too busy harassing the locals that she doubted they would notice if she went off to check some of the other places she used to visit, then she could finally get some semblance of peace in her processor.
The first spot would have to be one that she and her brother treasured more than anything.
Fond memories continued to flood her processor as she made her way to the entrance of a long abandoned mine. The energon long since depleted well before her Creators were exiled here, perhaps not long after the end of the Great Expansion.
But it still made for the perfect secret base that she and her brother could lay claim to.
And it’s as she steps through the cave that she still sees a few remnants leftover even after all this time. It brought a small yet fond smile to her face as she approached a wall where the paint had faded slightly, but she could still make out the figures of herself and her family that she had made back then.
“Sire Tailstorm, Carrier Springfleet, Grand-Sire Stormtrail, Grand-Carrier Spintail,” she whispered as she ran a servo over each faded image, speaking designations of those that were in her family that was once quite large.
And then she stopped when her servo covered the image she made of herself, her optics instead focused on the image of her brother.
“Brother Yolkmaster…”
Goofball trailed off, crouching down to look at the small collection of toys she left behind the last time they came to their secret base.
A part of her wished she and her brother remained here that cycle, but instead they went back to their hab because it was time for a special meal.
A Vosian celebration that was incredibly important for their Carrier, but a celebration that had to be cut short.
She took a moment to cycle her vents only to pause when she heard something.
For that brief set of nanokliks she remained still. It was as if she was waiting to see if it was just some stray rubble moving—disturbed by something that wasn’t approaching her.
But then the noise continued, getting closer to her, so she turned to look at the source.
Bright blue met bright red as she stared at the mech who had just entered the cave.
Her secret base from when she was still a youngling.
But as she got a better look at this mech, her entire frame relaxed slightly as she stood up to fully face him.
Yolky?”
The silence continued as her brother studied her, as if he was seeing her for the very first time.
And perhaps that wouldn’t be an inaccurate statement considering how long it has been since they last saw each other.
Though it soon broke, but not with anything spoken. It broke when her brother moved, hesitant steps turned into a sprint as he rushed forward to pull her into a tight hug.
She could feel a leak in her optics, but she didn’t care as she returned the hug.
“I finally found you,” Yolkmaster said, his voice filled with static as fluid leaked from his optics and landed on the top of her head. He then pulled back to look at her closely, a frown on his face when he noticed just how light her armor was.
“What happened to your external engines? Your armor? Your biolights?” He asked, a clawed servo moving down to where her exposed protoform was on her sides, before they moved to her arms where he noticed something else was missing.
“Your null-rays are gone! What happened to them??” He turned her arms to where he looked at the smooth paneling, tracing over where transformation seams used to be located. Where he knew her old weapons were hidden away when they were still young.
She looked to his own, seeing them out in the open. Primed and ready to blast anything at a moment’s notice, but she looked up to see a flash of anger and horror go across his face.
“When I was brought to Cybertron, they said I had to remove a few non-essential parts if I was to stay,” Goofball said. It was so long ago that a part of her forgot about that procedure, but the loss still sat heavy on her frame.
She couldn’t even remember if they actually asked for her consent to go through this reformat.
“Then they made a patch to help with my glitch, which was what made this entire ordeal worth it in the end.”
“Glitch? What glitch?”
She shook her head as she shrugged her right shoulder and watched as her elbow joint loosened.
“Don’t you remember all the times when I would lose my arm doing something stupid? And how I would be running frantically to find a replacement?”
Her brother chuckled fondly at the memory.
“You were terrified that our Carrier would have your head if he had to build you an entire new arm again.”
“Well, when they brought me to Cybertron, they realized my processor was unable to distinguish enemies from allies. So whenever I would lose my arm, I would attack anyone—no matter what they looked like or what size class they were—just to find a replacement. They could have exiled me for that alone, but instead they gave me a patch to make the glitch easier to manage.”
“Easier for them to manage, you mean,” her brother said with a scoff as he looked down at her, as if finally noticing the brand just above her chassis. For a moment he stood there in silence and studied it, his bright red optics narrowed as he stared at the bright red brand that they put on her.
He brought a servo up and started to trace over the brand with his clawed digits, a frown on his face before he finally pulled away completely.
“What about you? What have you been up to since our separation?” Goofball asked, hoping that maybe her brother had some sort of amazing story that would bring up the mood.
Maybe he joined a crew of pirates? He always did dream of going off on daring adventures with a small team of bots from all walks of functioning, whether they were once Autobots or Decepticons.
Maybe he did find that dream crew and she would soon meet them.
Yolkmaster looked at her and started to smile.
He then opened his intake, ready to spin a story about what she could only assume to be one of his favorite adventures when-
“Well well well, this is a first. You found a Decepticon without losing an arm!”
She frowned when Dogma announced his arrival.
She should have known he would have followed her, but initially she thought it was better him than somebot like Muskrat. But she still moved to look around her brother to see the smug grin on her team leader’s face.
There were a lot of things she wanted to say, the main one being that Yolkmaster is her brother.
Not a Decepticon.
But then she finally noticed the symbol on his wings—the purple brand that had her processor immediately attempting to label him as an enemy.
A threat.
But that can’t be right, this is Yolkmaster.
Her brother.
Her spark-twin even! There’s nothing about him that should be seen as a threat.
And yet, the protocols in her processor were saying otherwise.
Dogma had a smug grin on his face as he brought out his energon swords, twirling the handles in his servos before joining them together to form a scissor.
“It’s time to clip your wings, Decepticon Seeker.”
Goofball couldn’t move. As much as she wanted to reach for her brother or even run forward to stop Dogma, her frame remained frozen stiff as her brother flexed his claws before aiming his null-rays at Dogma. It was like her processor was split in half and at war with each other—one half sided with the patch and loyalty to her faction, while the other half sided with her spark and urged her to help her spark-twin.
With his rays fully charged, Yolkmaster fired and shot Dogma out of the old mine before turning towards Goofball. He tried to give her a reassuring smile, as if telling her that everything would be fine, before he turned and left the cave to continue the fight with a shout.
“We will always rise up!”
That phrase, she’s heard it before.
Back when everything was on fire and the residents of this small colony world were screaming and scrambling to put everything back together after that particular raid.
So fresh after the Great War, where old wounds were still fresh and those who tried to stay neutral during the entire conflict suffered from the servos of both Autobots and Decepticons.
“We will always rise up!” were the words her creators shouted while she remained hidden in their home.
The very last words she heard from them until she was found by Tap-Out and Highbrow, the latter of which brought her straight to the Ministry of Science when he noticed her glitch.
The memory of that cycle had her balling her servos into fists as she walked out of the old mine.
She could feel sparks light up in her processor as it fought against itself, codes contradicting one another in a way that should have made her freeze up once more. But she pushed past it and forced herself to keep moving.
Her creators’ grayed frames flashed in her processor, the memory of being pulled away from them without being given a chance to cry over them and set up a service with the locals burned through the protocols the patch kept trying to push on her.
The idea of her brother, her spark-twin, suffering the same fate drove her into a run until she pushed herself in front of him and raised her right arm up to block one of the blades of Dogma’s swords from piercing Yolkmaster’s sparkchamber.
Even if she couldn’t stop the other blade from reaching his shoulder, at least she was able to stop him from going offline.
“What do you think you’re doing!?”
“Goofball…?”
She stood firm even as she felt energon dripping from her arm, her left moving up to grab the blade and pull it free from where it was connected to the other sword.
But before she could say anything, a servo wrapped gently around her waist and lifted her up. She looked back and watched as her brother took off while holding her, but she could tell he was struggling as energon leaked from his shoulder where Dogma got him.
Despite that, he still held her tight as he made it as far as he could.
Not landing until he put enough distance between them and Dogma who was likely already requesting backup.
“Yolky… You need to escape,” Goofball finally said once she was released. She already pulled out her first aid kit and prepared to work on his injury, but he held a servo up and instead pointed at her arm.
“It’ll be fine, I’ve had worse.”
Her brother frowned as he hugged her tight.
“I’m afraid there is nowhere for me to run, not when the Autobots are hunting us Decepticons down. Ever since they got the AllSpark back, it’s turned into a one-sided conflict with the odds in their favor,” he explained as he sat down and set a servo against his chassis.
“I was ordered by General Strika to locate and destroy any old recruiting stations before the Autobots could use them to locate any Decepticons who were not properly registered, and then go into hiding until we can find a way to rise up again,” he continued, closing his optics as he looked down.
“And then I saw you.”
Goofball frowned before shaking her head again.
“You still need to escape. It’s only those from my assigned team here, they should be easy to escape from! You have a chance to run and fight another cycle!”
Yolkmaster smiled as he gently pressed a fist on top of her head.
“Unfortunately there won’t be any place for me to run and hide, not with the Autobots moving this quickly. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Elite Guard was on their way here the moment a member of your team reported my presence here.”
She shuffled forward and wrapped her arms around him in a hug.
“Please, I can’t lose you again,” she spoke with a hushed whisper with closed optics.
But soon she opened them when she felt his plating start to shift.
“There’s no telling what will happen to me, but you remember that promise we made to each other when we were still younglings?”
Goofball looked up and stared with wide optics when she saw he opened his T-Cog chamber.
“Yolky, you can’t be serious!”
“I am.”
Her servos shook as he removed his T-Cog and placed it in them. He then moved to curl her digits around it in a protective cage and gave a final smile.
“No matter what, I will always be with you.”
She held her brother’s T-Cog close like it was a treasure before putting it in her subspace where it would be safe. She then watched as he reached for Dogma’s sword and set it in her servos, wrapping her digits around the handle before pointing the tip of the blade against his abdomen.
“Promise me that you will continue to live on, to find your freedom, and most importantly of all… Live for yourself. To rise up.”
It felt like her spark completely shattered when he pulled her arms forward, when Dogma’s blade pierced his abdomen. But he still had a smile on his faceplate as he whispered that everything will be alright. Even if only one of them could survive, he was glad it would be her instead of him.
Her brother wrapped his arms around her in a hug that felt final as her arms shook and fell to her sides.
Why…?
Why did it have to end like this?

I'm imagining how things go down with Shockwave finding Wheelie in "Gilded Wings"
Both seemingly abandoned on a now dead planet. Shockwave knows that eventually the Decepticons will return, so he just has to survive until they return for him or he can make his way back to them - it depends on what happens first.
Meanwhile Wheelie doesn't know if Sentinel will be coming back for him. He was left behind when Sentinel fled with the Protectobots to save himself, not even telling the Protectobots about Wheelie because he assumed that little brat would have just been dead weight and slowed them down.
So when Wheelie finds Shockwave, he practically latches onto him and basically does whatever Shockwave tells him namely for his own survival. This eventually leads to them forming a sort of Sire-Creation bond, something that Wheelie never got to properly experience until now.
Because while Sentinel did adopt Wheelie, Wheelie never really saw Sentinel as a Sire. He never even magnetized to Sentinel.
But one day, he actually magnetizes to Shockwave. In a position where he wouldn't be in Shockwave's way and would barely be noticed, but still right there.
Shockwave could feel Wheelie on his back, but allowed him to stay there because it was more efficient that way as opposed to having to constantly watch his peds.
....and perhaps Shockwave started to see Wheelie as his own.
