y’all remember that stairwell scene where goncharov and andrey whisper to each other that they couldn’t have done it without the other and then we see katya standing at the end of the stairs and she looks so hurt, yeah I think that was meant to be a confession scene between goncharov and andrey but they were too much of cowards to actually do it

Look, I think yall are trying to create a new canon by picking out bits and pieces of the story that fit with fanon. You can interpret the movie all you want but the tragedy of goncharov and katya is literally central to the story.

hey m do u have a fave goncharov scene??? mines obv ice pick joe cleaning his bloody hands in the snow and shaking but im ALSO a huuge fan of katya and sofias apple scene it rots in my brain nonstop

Okay I’ve been thinking about this for a bit (that’s why it took me so long, not the ADHD brain /j). And I know the hype for Goncharov has died down.

The Katya and Sofia apple scene lives in my brain so much. The way they Look at each other, that fruit vendor just standing there like 🧍‍♂️

And Every Ice Pick Joe scene is memorable, especially cause of the costuming makes him the most colorful character on screen. Also all the blood.

But honestly, the scene where Andrey shoots Goncharov? Hurts me everytime. I can’t pick another scene over it. The way Goncharov looks resigned, somber yet at peace because he knows his time is up and if anyone is going to be the twelfth clock chime for him, it’s going to be Andrey.

this scene was INSANE btw. not only this is the way we're introduced to sofia (and linda fiorentino is serving so much cunt it's unbelievable) but she immediately reads goncharov's intentions like an open book. i know you're here to ask me about katya's dealings and i will NOT give you any information about it because i love her too much to risk you hurting her if i speak. but of course she herself doesn't know that katya is perfectly capable of standing her ground. it makes me SICK it really does.
