I have thought of a headcanon where midas had a lazy eye until he lost the sight in it.
As he can't see through the eye now, the eye muscles have relaxed. Meaning the eye has straightened up a bit.
This might not be medically accurate, but it's what some people theorise might happen with my eye, so I'm applying it to my headcanon.
The lazy eye is the reason why he had glasses. They were to correct the double vision caused by the eye drifting inwards, but now he doesn't need the glasses because the eye causing the issue of double vision can no longer see.

Do you think Midas, a fallen king cursed with the touch of death, ever longs for the warmth of skin and not the cold of lifeless gold?

I'm excited to share my reference for Midas' scoliosis surgery scar.
I myself had scoliosis and had it corrected via surgery. My case of scoliosis was severe, and major surgery was the only potential solution at that point.
So, this headcanon, where Midas had the same problem as me, is very important to me. Something I hold dearly.

Midas has cold, golden, hands. Regular old touch screens don't work for him.
So, he had specific phones and technology made for him. He has enough gold and connections to have the tech created.
Despite having his own phones and computers, in difficult times (when his curse is being inconvenient), he will have people type for him.
He prefers using his older (landline/house) phone when in his office ( 📞 ), rather than smartphones or general mobile phones.
Below is a headcanon I'm not so sure about because his updated cosmetic (Ascendant Midas) has smaller hands than his previous counterparts:
His hands aren't as nimble as they used to be, so devices with tiny buttons aren't straightforward to operate (Even if his hands did change with his updated look, they are still golden and probably still hard to use).
That being said, I think sewing would be easier for him pain-wise. As his hands don't have the same sensation as before. So if he were to accidentally jab his finger or hand with the needle, it wouldn't puncture the flesh and cause pain. But, again, his hands are perhaps somewhat awkward and fumbly now. The very delicate task of threading the needle would be challenging.

i mentioned my 'midas has scoliosis' headcanon, and my friend said that it does look like midas is trying to keep his back straight, or that something is keeping it straight.
so i have added these ideas to my headcanon: midas had scoliosis. he practices good posture, but that can be painful and tiring.
and (of course i thought of this) his titanium rods fused to his spine are now golden.
#i am a midas copinglinker.#and i write what i think would suit him.#i project onto midas a lot.#thank you for the compliment by the way.

Midas has no fingerprints.
His hands are golden. And whether they're literally made of solid gold or are simply coated in a layer of gold is another thing to ponder in the future.
But either way, he has no fingerprints which can be useful in some situations. He's a spy kinda guy, so surely this would help him in some of his missions.

A few Midas Headcanons
● Knows bits and pieces of various languages.
● Secretly (?) loves sweet food.
● The curse of the golden touch actually improved a few things for him healthwise. Gold is said to have some healing properties.

Doodles from this week exploring Midas and Jones' new looks.
(Midas' outfit is not confirmed. It's just my take based on a mysterious survey skin.)

Shoutout to people who speak "overly formally." You deserve to express yourself in whatever way feels most natural and fulfilling for you. The way you speak isn't pompous, annoying, or mockable; it's just how you communicate, and there's nothing wrong with that. Your voice adds creativity and diversity to this world, and I think that's amazing.

If someone tells you that you hurt them, your reaction shouldn’t be “oh my god, I’m such a terrible person. You shouldn’t even be friends with me.”
No matter how bad you feel, don’t do it. Even if you hurt them completely by accident. Even if you genuinely believe you’re a terrible person. Don’t do it. It’s manipulative, whether you intend it to be or not and can make the other person feel a need to comfort you and no longer feel safe coming to you in the future.
Your feelings are valid, but don’t make your guilt spiral theirs to deal with.
If you want to express feeling bad, that’s valid but it should be done with something like this “I’m really sorry I hurt you. I feel really bad that I did that because I care about your feelings. I will work to do better in the future.”
You need to be a safe person for your loved ones to come to when they feel upset or hurt. Otherwise, you risk long term damage to your relationship.
