N whirls around as a girl's voice calls to him, his eyebrow display raising at her first statement. It was still more than a little wild to just see humans walking around, but he was starting to get used to it.

"Yeah, I know Uzi! She's my girlfrie--"

"You what?"

☆ "Do you know Miss Uzi by chance? You look a lot like her!" Suletta's experience with Uzi had been a little more personal than most. The two of them had swapped bodies during the incident with the robots, so Suletta had been given a rare chance for a human to see what it was like being a drone.

"Has she been alright? I haven't heard much from her since that time we traded bodies."

N tilts his head a little, whatever it took to get a better look at that cute blush on Uzi's cheeks.

"I'll take your word for it," He says simply, accepting anything Uzi says because there's no way Uzi would ever steer him wrong. "We're pretty good at not dying, after all!" N grins, giving her a little nudge with his elbow.

N did know V, but maybe not as good as Uzi knew her now. He wasn't even sure he'd say he knew her all that well, given what their relationship was like before all the world ending stuff. It felt like one of those things that if he said he knew her well out loud he'd get smacked out by V, maybe J, and they'd call him an idiot again.

Ah, good times.

"I know you're right - you guys are all the friends I got right now, and I gotta just..focus on that! Just wish I'd been here for all that bonding, but just means I get to catch up now and have lots of fun with you guys!" He grins wide, nudging Uzi back.

"And all that dating stuff with you, heh. I don't...totally know what all that entails but eh, we'll watch some movies and figure it out, right?"

He wants to ask who wrecked her door and why, but she told him not to mind it, so he doesn't.

"Okay! Happy to be here!"

N's tail wags behind him at that point of reassurance from Mika, the smile still plastered on his face, not remotely aware of the turmoil in her heart.

"She's had someone to be with though! Because you were here, keeping her company when I wasn't here, and I really really appreciate that!"

"I will definitely let you know, especially since I'm still figuring things out. I'll probably be around more if Uzi wants me to be, is that okay? I know it's your place too!"

Really it felt like every step she took trying to understand their lives the more Mika was getting more confused. It didn't seem possible but yet again did the impossible become an unfortunate reality. Which was becoming common enough that the student probably should've just considered it initially from here on out...

"...Yeah. She'll have someone to be with."

Unlike her who was still alone, making friends and shoving herself into groups just to feel some sense of companionship.

"...T-T-Though if you need any help dealing with her just let me know too. I'm sure she'll listen to you more then me but I've been in the home longer. I know where they hide most of their stuff to threaten them with."

N's brows raise at the pathetic, little sad sound that comes out of the small white creature, his hands snapping back against his body for a brief moment.

"Oh no! I'm sorry, I'm not trying to hurt you, I'm trying to help you! But um, this might hurt a little bit but just know I'm not doing this on purpose ok!" N spreads his legs, taking a wider stance and grabbing hold of the creature again, giving it a little reassuring pat.

"If it hurts let me know! Here goes!"

He continues to try to pull them out, hopefully without hurting or scaring them this time!

Chiikawa had thought this would've been a great shortcut through the parks. Just so they didn't have to walk on the street anymore to get to their destination. Yet, their chubby round body evidently wasn't small enough to squeeze through. So they became stuck, and frightened.

When they felt someone tugging on them, this only frightened them more. They let out a pitiful cry, and tried to wiggle free. "WEHH!"

Fonder. She knew that, it's just... cringe out say it out loud. But Robo-god, it really does. It's not fair that it works that way. She never even had anyone to miss before, so now being reunited with this killer goofball is a relief Uzi's never felt before.

"You'll pick it up as we go," she says, staring down at her boots to try and hide the blush on her face. "But I wouldn't worry about it too much. Usually you just get to hang out, but even when shit goes sideways, we just gotta do what we do best and not die. Easy."

And it would be nice to keep talking about the City or about N or about literally anything else, but of course the conversation has to shift back to V. Uzi frowns a little at N's words, his assertions just kicking up more confusion in her mind. He knows V better than she does, but is it true? She doesn't know what to think.

So let's not think about it! Let's compartmentalize, like usual! Uzi's a pro at that, she's been doing it for practically her whole existence! Just tuck all those complicated thoughts and feelings away and focus on something else!

"You don't gotta be jealous, dude, you're our friend too. It just means we all have a lot of catching up to do. And you and me, have, like... dating stuff. To. Also. Catch up on," she says, blushing worse than before. She bumps into him on purpose, not really sure what else to do. That's just how the affection comes out, random acts of light violence.

Uzi stops walking as she smiles up at him. "Yeah, exactly! Give it a few months and we'll be ruling all these stupid humans together! Just a trio of super cool killer robots! Also, we're here."

She finally lets go of N's hand, jogging up the steps to undo the locks on her super-reinforced front door.

"Oh, uh, don't mind the heavy-duty door," she says, opening it. "It got wrecked by... someone... you don't know. Just come in."

"I mean yeah, of course I wanna make Uzi happy..."

N pouts. V had him down, perfectly. He'd do anything, even roll over and do a little treat if it made Uzi happy.

"Alright, I'm not so good at these things, but bear with me. If I could have any name I would go withhhh....withhhhh..."

"Nathan! Nathaniel! Nick! Nicholas! There's a lot of options! I think Nathan's cool! So what's yours?"

∞ "Huh? If it makes Uzi happy then why wouldn't you wanna do it? You're like a little puppy dog when it comes to her, right?"

"Okay then, if you could name yourself then what name would you go with? I'll totally tell you mine if you do." She was not going to tell him.

"I guess I don't need to sit, but sometimes it's nice to sit, take a load off...though I don't really get tired either..."

Oh man. Things were getting existential.

"I'm sure there's reasons for all that, but I don't know them and I'm okay with that!"

● "I... I suppose that makes sense? Why do you need to sit, though? Do you get tired? Do your legs get sore?" Her understanding of robots was clearly lacking.

"Yeah! We came out stronger and better and a little traumatized but that just kinda happens with those things. Sooo normal."

He grins wide, showing off his pronounced canines in a way he hopes is friendly, not threatening. The last thing he'd want is to scare off Uzi's friends!

"That's what I'm hearing. I don't totally get it but I don't think I need to get it. It's probably better that way, keeps the worlds in line or whatever!"

"Hah. That's nice to hear...she won't have to miss me anymore though."

"That's...a lot to go through but I'm glad you all got out alive!" It really all sounded par for the course though given just how Uzi acted or talked about the two of them. All of it did make her wonder just how insane everything really was back in their own home. And even more important then that how they all were best friends now.

Or "friends". She still couldn't really tell...

"Well time is all weird here to begin with it. Some people have been here years but when someone they know manages to show up it seems like its only been a few days or even a week." Not that she knew what that felt like, but she trusted all her friends knowledge.

"Still I'm sure she missed you the most. Just a feeling that's all..."

Oh if N had a tail, it'd be wagging right now.

Wait, he does! And it is!

His whip-like tail wags behind him, somehow supporting the large syringe like construct at its end. N was so happy to meet another drone, a different type of drone, and learn more about this world that Uzi had been in for so long.

And besides, this lady was cool.

"Oh I guess my face is also technically a computer's face if you think of it that way, I mean I can do cool stuff like this--" He changes the display on his visor to show an emoji - 😊

"Sure, I'm down for anything. What's a lightner? And why do they eat JPEGs?" He peruses over the menu. None of this looked familiar.

"Oh wait, whatever this is shaped like dinosaurs, I'll take that!"

He's certainly friendly enough, much like a friendly dog would be. But before she starts planning future playdates with Lancer, she needs to vet him to make sure he's not like a dog in the wrong ways. For example, if he holds up traffic or runs over pedestrians with a toy car...

At his question, Queen simply shrugs.

She passes a menu to the teenage robot. It's standard human fare, plus some options for kids. Queen takes a sip out of her glass of acid and gives him some time to look it over.

A whining cry catches N's attention as he walks down the street, turning on his heel to try to find its source. A couple of steps leads him to a narrow fence where a small white creature appears to be stuck.

"Oh no!"

He scuttles over to start tugging at the creature's rear end, gentle but trying to give them a firm tug so he can properly free them.

"Now how'd you get stuck in here? Don't worry, I've got you!"

N whirls his head around when he hears a distinctly robot-like voice call out to him, his optics growing wider at the sight of its source.

She didn't look like another disassembly drone, and she didn't look like a worker drone either. She was definitely a robot, though she certainly didn't come from Copper 9 or his universe at all. Interesting.

"Oh hi, ma'am! Cool robot face right back atcha," He says with a grin and double finger guns.

"I'm not part dog, but people always tell me I'm kind of like a dog! Does that still count?"

He asks, yapping away as he comes to take a seat in front of Queen and her peculiar meal as if they were old friends.

It looks like this kid's face is already a robot one! Which saves her the trouble of roboticizing him. (Not that she'd ever do such a thing!)

She waves him over from her spot at an outdoor dining table, where she's enjoying a glass of battery acid and a holographic meatloaf. (It's a pop-up window.)

N grins as Uzi's grip on his hand tightens. It like, kind of hurt but he wasn't going to complain about it.

"Absence makes the heart grow fonder! I know that one," He beams down to Uzi, glad that everything's okay between them. Why wouldn't it be, when it had only been a day for him? Just a matter of hours, really. But five months without him for her...that had to be brutal. It could've ended everything, she could've moved on! He's really glad she didn't.

He's taking mental notes of everything she says, putting it into a new folder of Uzi lore in the new world they're in. Yeah that organization will work just fine.

"So we're in prison even though we didn't do anything wrong here, but it's kind of nice here cause there's wi-fi and stuff to do and talking animals but we can't leave? Huh, okay."

He should probably be more alarmed by this but with Uzi and V by his side, he could do anything! Even better now that Uzi and V were getting along so well!

"Aw, that's awesome to hear, Uzi. I could allllways tell she liked you, deep beneath that terrifying exterior of hers. She's just bad at showing it! You guys sound like you're best friends now, I'm almost...hah,. I'm kinda jealous."

His smile turns a little forlorn. It was a good thing of course, but he felt sort of left out. But it wouldn't last, they would definitely catch up!

"But it's all good! I'm sure I'll find out more about everything the longer I'm here. I'm just glad I am here, with you, with V. Whatever happens, we'll figure it out together!"

Robo-god, that's a lot of questions. Uzi would rather just take N to her room and melt into his arms for a little bit before dealing with annoying explanations, but it wouldn't really be fair to leave him in the dark. So they can walk and talk. But before she answers any questions, she tightens her grip on his hand.

"O-of course we're still, like dating, you don't even need to ask! I've been telling people about you, so we better be, or I'll look like a creepy liar in front of all these lame humans. I guess it's like the saying, absence makes... I-it makes... F-forget it, bite me!"

She's blushing bad now. Whatever! It's fine! No one else can see! She just missed him a lot! Let's move on, because talking about lore will help calm her down, probably.

"Alright I'll just... One at a time, I guess. First, like I said, it's some kinda extra-dimensional time BS, I don't really understand it fully either," she says, still lightly flustered. "But this place is called Spirale, and there's just people from... different dimensions, I guess? Like, we've all been kidnapped here. But it's a cushy prison with wi-fi and stuff, so it's not all bad. But yeah, that's why there's so many humans and other weirdos around. Like, I met a talking hedgehog, so it's really anything goes."

About V- Well, Uzi doesn't even really know how to explain that one to herself. The friends narrative is fine for now, because if N's here that means she can just... not have a crush on V anymore, right? Easy! That is how feelings work.

"A-as for V, she's been here for a while too, and it's just been us. And she's really... Well, she's V, so she's not great at making friends. So we just hang out a lot. And she sleeps over," she says, trying not to sound too embarrassed, defensive, or anything really. "She just invited herself over and never left. And it's annoying sometimes, but... I dunno, I guess we're friends now. Suck it Lizzy, heheh."

Uzi gets it too. Clinging onto whatever's most familiar, both girls are probably guilty of that. But she'll gloss over how Cyn was here and how J is... MiA? Hopefully she's gone too and it can just be the three of them.

"But back to the city, we're all kind of just... living here now. Once in a while some stupid scientists show up and do some kind of experiment on us, but the day-to-day is just whatever you wanna do. Whatever we wanna do. Actually, it's the night-to-night for us, I guess. The days here are kinda long, it sucks," she says, frowning up at N. "Any other questions? I don't mind info-dumping, but we're almost at my apartment."

"Oh! V's here too! That's great!"

N looks genuinely delighted at the news, clasping his hands together before him. From what it sounds like Uzi's been here longer than it's felt like for him. He just saw Uzi and V last night, so there was definitely some weird time stuff going on, nothing he entirely understood but he didn't have to to accept it!

"V's one of my friends too. I think. I'm pretty sure! She used to not really like me a lot but then we went through a bunch of scary stuff together and I thought she died, but she was fine and now we're all friends."

"I'm really glad Uzi's had you and V here. If it's been like, pretty long like it seems, I'm glad she wasn't alone."

"Well someone else that looks like you. I don't know if the two of them are actually friends but the two seem close enough."

Though given how she talked about Uzi maybe that wasn't completely correct either. Still if someone was willing to talk with the drone for that long then surely something had to go right.

"V I think? I'm pretty sure they live somewhere else but Uzi's been trying a lot to get 'em to move in either with us or close by." Much to her own dismay. The amount of times she had been spooked by someone or something new being in their own abode had now raised above a dozen. "I'm assuming you know who I'm talking about right?"
