pairing: katsuki bakugo x idol!reader
summary/prompt: after getting broken up with a week prior, you debut your first live show on your debut album tour with a song you haven’t released yet. it seems you’re not leaving your old relationship without having the last word.
rating: general
word count: 1310
warnings: unhealthy relationships
a/n: so i tried a thing with clothes, i think i prefer it to writing a paragraph about clothes, but let me know what you think ;) also there’s lowkey todo x reader in this but yeah ahaha.
Tumblr media
you fiddle with your fingers and straighten your black top. the outfit [masculine/feminine] your designers picked out for tonight’s performance matched the vibe and color scheme of your newest album, monochrome skies. as you sat in your chair, the makeup artist touched up small flaws on your face and the hair stylist sprayed hairspray into your hair after giving it volume. your manager opened the door and crossed the dressing room to your side.
“are you ready? you look a little nervous.” she smiles, patting your shoulder.
“i think i’ll be just fine. i’m going to sing it, jiro.” you shakily breathe, telling her your plans for your mystery breakup song you made. you put your hands in your lap.
“i trust your judgement. don’t let him ruin this, you’ve been waiting a long time for this. i’ll let the audio techs know to add it on the back of the set.” the purple haired girl squeezes your shoulder affectionately. you give her a grateful smile, then watch her walk out the door. after the door shuts, you turn your attention back to the mirror and look at the handiwork your crew had done. both stylists step back, finished. you thank them with a smile and they leave the room. you try to calm yourself down and slow your breathing as you drink a sip of water from the bottle that was on the vanity before you. the stage manager interrupted you, saying you were due onstage in five minutes. you got up shakily and walked to offstage right. jiro was already there, along with some of your closest friends you brought with you; izuku, ochako, shoto, and tsuyu.
“you got this, (y/n)! we’re all proud of you!” izuku smiled, giving you a thumbs up.
“do your best!” ochako chimed in, putting her fingertips together and grinning. tsuyu smiles reassuringly toward you while nodding in agreement. shoto pulls you into a firm hug, careful not to ruin your hair.
“he didn’t deserve you. i know it, you know it too. now show him what he’s missing.” the half and half boy murmured in your ear affectionately. you pulled away and nodded, determined. an audio tech gave you a headset mic to put on, pointing to a button to click whn you were ready for it to be on. the stage manager told jiro that it was time, and she hugged you and smiled. even if she was your manager by technicality, she was a friend of yours and was with you through the entire process of your album.
“give him hell.” she whispered before nudging you toward the stage. the lights on the stage dim and you walk on, black boots hitting the floor. the spotlight hits directly on you and the crowd screams. clicking the button on your mic headset. you smile and put up a hand, silencing the crowd.
“hi guys.” you smile. the crowd mostly replies back, scattered.
“so, are you ready to have a good time tonight?” the crowd cheers, excited.
“alright, let’s get started then.” you wink as the background music for your opening track starts up and the crowd screams.
------------------------
you pant, just finished with the outro track. the crowd applauds wildly, energized from the last song.
“alright guys, since this is my very first concert,” the crowd interrupts your sentence with scattered cheering. you laugh and look at the stage, your hair follows your face down. you flip your hair back up and run a hand through it. “i have a song that i haven’t released yet for you guys.” the crowd whistles, even more excited. as you remember the song, you realize suddenly that even if they know about your break up with the blonde, they didn’t know you knew what you did. you start to sing the song you wrote as you cried over a man who wasn’t thinking of you.
“l is for the way you lie to me.” the venue is silent. this was clearly a shot at the ex everyone knew you had, but they didn’t know about this.
“o is for the other ones you see v is for vindictive, chew my heart and then you spit it e hurts even more, but who knows what I keep hoping for” you smile sadly, continuing. the soft tones of your voice and slow start to the song has everyone quiet. they’re too stunned to speak. the beat picks up and you continue with the rest of the song, singing about every wrong doing katsuki put you through. cheering along, the crowd got more riled up, but also angry at the blonde for hurting an idol they cherished.
“if love is crumbling right before our eyes oh, my dear we just can’t get it right so take the memories and won’t you hold them close for me 'cause love's not what it used to be my baby loves not what it used to be” you finish, teary-eyed. the venue practically explodes. everyone’s screaming, cheering, and applauding. you laughed, hugging your hands against your chest.
“thank all of you for coming out tonight, i love each and every one of you so much. get home safe and have a great night.” you smiled wide, waving to the crowd as you walked of stage to your awaiting friends. as you get offstage, jiro hugs you tightly.
“well, that’s one way to give him hell! i had no idea he did that, but you just exposed his ways to everyone.” she laughed, squeezing you.
“you were so good! i bet bakugo’s really regretting his actions now!” izuku said supportively. ochako nodded in agreement.
“he was stupid to do that to you. i’m glad he’s not around anymore. i’m sorry he was stupid.” tsu said, patting your shoulder. you thanked them for their support, but then excused yourself to your dressing room to change out of the costume. you shut the door behind you and let out a breath. in search of something more comfortable, you walk to the clothing rack to the left of the mirror. finding a pair of black sweats and a grey band t-shirt on the rack, you put it on and tuck the shirt into the pants. you sit down at the single chair in front of the mirror and look at your reflection. your hair, although a little frizzy, had mostly held up through the night. the powder the makeup artist put on you to make the lights less harsh on your complexion had debating taking off the light makeup now or waiting until you got back to the tour bus, shoto walks in.
“hey.” he said softly, sitting down on the small couch that sat along the right wall in the small dressing room. he has a white plastic bag from the corner store near the venue.
“hi.” you wave, looking away from the mirror and walking toward the red and white haired boy.
“we went to the store around the corner to get stuff before we leave, they’re still looking at toiletries so i came back early to give you this.” he hands you a bottle of water and a bag of chips. you took them gratefully, uncapping the water and giving it a short drink.
“thank yo-“
“why didn’t you tell me?” shoto cuts you off. he looks concerned.
“i don’t know, i just didn’t. i didn’t want to cause beef between shared friends. plus i didn’t find it relevant with my debut coming so close.” you sigh. your phone buzzes, a twitter dm coming through. after scrolling past many clips of your live show and the debut of this song exposing your ex-boyfriend, you see a certain blonde messaged you.
@ground_zero: hey, can we talk?
for the first time since you met him, you were the one who left him on read.

tongue tied
pairing: mirio togata x reader
summary/prompt: the third years have finally come to an end of their ua career and are celebrating the night before graduation with a dorm party.
rating: teen
word count: 1,731
warnings: fluff but lowkey bittersweet angst? also mentions of alcohol.
a/n: i tried my best to make this a gender neutral as possible but i wrote with a fem!reader in mind, so i do apologize if something is more female bent. this makes me super nostalgic for some reason? anyways, feel free to drop requests :)
Tumblr media
nejire bounces into your room, blue hair trailing behind her.
“dorm party dorm party!! we’re having a dorm party, didn’t you hear? you better be coming! it’s the last thing the senior class is doing together before we part our ways! stop packing and let’s get ready! i have a few things so you don’t look like you just hopped out of bed!” she sings, buzzing with energy. you sigh, stretching your arms up and standing up from the boxes you were half-finished packing.
“good thing i haven’t packed my clothes yet.” you grin, holding up your arms. she hugs you, spinning you around.
“we’re gonna have so much fun! ok, so the party’s on the roof, it’s getting set up by someone right now, let’s get ready. don’t feel pressured to put on super fancy stuff, just don’t wear pajamas. i’m going to wear the pink cami bodysuit and light blue jeans, along with that white fluffy jacket from ryukyu. should i do makeup? i’m not sure if i should do makeup, i think i should. you should try some! at least a little chapstick or something to perk you up.” rambles the blue haired girl.
“alright nejire, how long do i have? i have to shower still.” you pick up a towel and a bath robe to run downstairs and clean yourself pre-party.
“you have about an hour and a half, you should be fine. come find me when you’re ready, we can walk up together.” she boops your nose, then bounces out the door to her dorm room to most likely get ready. stripping out of the sweats, tank top, and underwear you had on all day, you put on the bath robe and pad down to the elevator, then down to the showers. you get in, turning on the hot water and start massaging soap through your hair. thoughts consume you of things that happened in your three years at ua. different events and different memories. training camps, class field trips, vacations, get togethers, and many many moments spent with a bunch of future heros. the nostalgia makes you smile in bittersweet memories. then the what if memories. the things that never ended up happening. times you were too scared to speak out, which left many things to only the imagination of how they could’ve ended. crushes that never developed into anything more. friendships that were never formed. relationships and missed opportunities due to fear of speaking out. before long, the time is gone and someone’s knocking at the dorm shower door, inquiring passive-aggressively when you’ll be done. you yell out an apology before finishing the shower’s intended purpose (getting clean, not thinking about how close the end of your ua career is). snagging the bathrobe and tying it around you, you walk out of the shower with your stuff, toweling your hair. another apology slips out to the poor classmate who sat there for lord knows how long before you walk back to your room. setting down your things, you start looking for a suitable outfit while trying to finish drying your wet hair. settling on a simple pair of ripped jeans, grey top, and boots, you start to put curls in your hair. a little bit of fluff never hurt anyone. glancing at your phone time, you freak out seeing that two hours have already flown by. you text nejire while finishing your hair that you’re ready. you put on some lip product and spray a tad bit of your favorite fragrence on your neck, then decide to call it a day there as nejire knocks on your door excitedly. snagging your phone and a few other necessities, you pocket them then head out the door to meet one of your best friends. she stands at the door, waiting for you to come out. meeting her, you give her a hug.
“last moment together before we graduate. it makes me sad but happy.” you sadly smile, wrapping your arms around her. of course, nejire’s not one to pass up a hug so she reciprocates the affection.
“stop being sad then, focus on happy, be sad after we graduate! plus it’s not like were never going to see each other again. me, you, tamaki, and mirio are stuck together for the long ride!” she smiles. mirio. mirio was the ray of sunshine in everyone’s life, but especially yours. you met mirio in second year through a project and joined the trio’s friend group. he always helped you out whenever you were down, everything about him was admirable. nejire gives your arm a tug, breaking you out of your daze about the blonde boy.
“stop dreaming about mirio and get on the elevator!” she says, pulling you into the elevator. you turn bright red and hit the blonde
“nejireeeeeeee!” you pout and she laughs.
“i see the way you look at him, you’re not fooling anyone. well, except maybe him. he’s really stupid sometimes.” she winks. the elevator dings, indicating you’re at the top floor. both of you get off and walk to the staircase up to the roof of the building. you open the door to see the party in full swing. music thumped and there were kids dancing. a few tables had drinks and snacks on them, but there were more cups on the ledge of the roof. glowsticks in pockets, hands, and around limbs or belt loops lit up the mostly dark roof. colored string lights lit what the glowsticks couldn’t reach. you could pick out the heads of the kids in the hero course since you trained with them for three years. business, general, and support class kids were also at the party. you could recognize a few of them, but not many. nejire pokes your arm, points in tamaki and mirio’s direction. mirio’s talking with some kids from the general(?) course while tamaki stands behind him, close to the ledge of the roof. mirio spots the two of you and waves, a smile on his face. nejire gets pulled away by a different friend, but not before throwing a teasing parting remark your way. you wade through the sea of people to mirio’s side. he gives you a big smile and a hug.
“hi (y/n)!” he grins. you smile up at him and poke his cheek
“hello mirio.” you let go of him and get involved in the conversation he was in. talking about stories at ua, the small group of you laugh and reminisce on older times. eventually, they one by one wander off until it was the two of you. a glowstick halo makes its way onto your head. you look up to see mirio smiling.
“a glowstick crown fit for a king.” he teases. you laugh, leaning into his side. you take it off of your head then jump up and put it on his head. he looked like a confused puppy as the purple glow washes over his face.
“now it’s on a king.” you smile. he hugs you and puts his chin on your head. you stay like that for a while, just appreciating each other.
“i’m kinda thirsty, come with me to get something to drink?” you asked. he turns around to get a red solo cup.
“i’ve got punch here if you want it. it’s really good, i had a cup already.” mirio offers it to you. you grab and take a sip. a little bit of vodka touches your tastebuds, the fruity taste far outweighing it.
“mirio, you know this has alcohol, right?”
“does it? i don’t think it does” he gently takes the cup from you and drinks. he takes a second, trying to pick it out, but can’t do it.
“oh well, it’s not the end of the world. we can let go for one night.” shrugging, you take it back and down it. you fall into casual banter, making jokes and talking. nejire and tamaki join in eventually.
“i literally cannot comprehend how you don’t have a girlfriend. you are literally the perfect package, everything in one.” the alcohol made your words toward the blonde bolder.
“probably because he was busy making goo goo eyes at you.” nejire winks. mirio turns pink and you laugh
“yeah right.” you smile, then shiver, now cold.
“i’m going downstairs with tamaki, he doesn’t look too good.” nejire sighs, nudging him with her elbow softly. she puts an arm around him comfortingly and walks with him to the door. she opens it, then disappears when she shuts it.
“are you ok? do you need my jacket?” mirio takes his black bomber jacket off and puts it around your shoulders. you thank him, rubbing his shoulder. other seniors are bouncing around and your eyes drift over to them by the speakers.
“hey, let’s go dance with them.” you drag mirio to the middle of the roof where kids were just dancing together. the beginning of tongue tied by grouplove played in the background as kids bounced up and down and swayed together. you giggled, grabbing mirio’s hands and bouncing around with him. he smiled, jumping with you. the song built up in the background as the kids sung in the background.
“TAKE ME TO YOUR BEST FRIEND’S HOUSE! ROLL AROUND THIS ROUNDABOUT OH YEAH!” you looked into mirio’s blue eyes, smiling as a silent tear ran down your cheek because of the bittersweet moment. the roof sung as a unit. all the seniors in ua became one, singing the same song together for the first and final time. he puts his hand on your face and wipes the tear away with his thumb. you lean into his touch, moving closer to him. his other hand rests on your waist, swaying to the beat with you. the distance is pretty much gone, standing chest to chest, dancing together to the song together.
“TAKE ME TO YOUR BEST FRIEND’S HOUSE! I LOVED YOU THEN, I LOVE YOU NOW OH YEAH!” mirio moves closer, and you close the distance. your lips met softly, eyes falling shut. his lips taste lightly of the fruit punch. you entangle your arms around his neck. eventually, you break the connection, still holding each other close. you grin for the billionth time that night and lean your head against mirio’s chest, listening to his heartbeat that thumped in time with the song in the background.

there’s no way out but down
pairing: platonic!guardian angel!shouta aizawa x reader
summary/prompt: reader goes to hell and is escorted by their guardian angel
rating: general
word count: 716
warnings: angst, just a bunch of angst man
a/n: this was 100% inspired by a tiktok lmao (also please give feedback this is my first time writing fanfic in YEARS)
Tumblr media
when you open your eyes for the first time, it’s bright. too many lights, harsh on newborn eyes. you opt to close them to block it out. ironic how you enter the world in light and leave it in dark.
after eventually coming to, you sit in an elevator. it’s stagnant. you stand, trying to remember where you were. it doesn’t work. thinking while pacing a bit, you try to recall anything. glimmers and flashes of parts of your life show up, but nothing recent. the elevator door opens, revealing a man with shoulder length black hair in a white button up, tie, and slacks. a cordial smile flickers across your face as more memories drip back to you, getting more and more recent. he shuts the door, then sighs. as the metal doors press together, you remember it all. you turn to the man, asking where you are and where toga and twice were. he doesn’t respond, only sadly smiling while looking down, his shoes being more interesting than your face at the moment. he clicks the down button and the elevator creaks to move slowly in it’s descend. you ask where your gunshot wound went, only to once again get silence. you huff, leaning against the wall.
“you’re dead.” the man replies, breaking the silence. ah, that makes sense. no wonder you weren’t bleeding out of your abdomen.
“where are we going?” you inquired.
“down.” there’s one down you learned of in the afterlife. it made sense, you didn’t live an honest life. it started small, as it always does. by 6 you learned how to read people. at 11, you could use that information against then. 14 brought you experience with master manipulation. after 17, you could practically look at someone and have them around your finger. well at 18, kurogiri noticed this skill. after proclaiming to shigaraki the league needed more members, you signed on, nothing better to do. life was never fair, so sometimes you had to push for it to go your way. joining the league was one of those pushes. many, many, many unethical actions later, you landed a gig with toga and twice working for overhaul on behalf of the league. a sign of good will they said. good will my ass. good will ended with you catching a bullet to the ribs and bleeding out in toga’s small arms.
you’d feel angry, but karma’s a bitch. you knew what you did was wrong, but it didn’t make sense.
“sorry can’t save me now, huh?” you chuckled regretfully. he nods his head no silently. both of you look straight at the steel doors of the elevator. “can you....do something about this? can you find a way out?”
“sorry i don’t know how.” he replies remorsefully. “sorry, there’s no way out.”
he knows you’re a good kid inside. he would know, he watched over you your entire life. it hurt to be put in a situation like this. watching your soul turn darker and darker sucked the life from him. you’d been put in an unfair position from day one: terrible parents, little money to spare, and not a quirk to be seen. you did what you had to do to get out of it, and that’s what hurt aizawa the most. the second he watched you start to step on people to get what you needed, he knew in his heart you weren’t coming back. he prayed(ironic) that you would be able to redeem yourself from this, but dying at 19 didn’t give you a hope in the world. he felt like you were his kid, yet here he was, bringing you to hell in a hand basket.
quiet tears streak down your face. you did what you had to do to survive, but somewhere you crossed the line. you went too far.
“but down?” you question, posing it like you had asked ‘how is this fair?’. you just tried to survive. the elevator came to a halt. he offered his hand, and you took it, pulling him into a hug, likely the last human affection you would ever get. he accepts, running a hand through your hair as an attempt to calm your shaking form.
“mn down.” he whispered, a single tear silently rolling down his cheek.
