I think toy doctors are so nice actually like i remember being a little heartbroken kid when one of my beloved stuffed animals got old and torn up and my mom just threw him out. And i know what it would have meant to me, to have someone lovingly stitch him back up instead so i could love him just a little longer. And I’m really glad there are little kids out there who get to see pictures of their stuffed animals and dolls with little fake hospital beds and casts as they “rest & heal” before returning to them good as new. Like what a sweet thing to do with your life.

The announcement of the ceasefire in Gaza came as news that touches wounds that have not yet healed, as if it were a truce between life and death, and while the world talks about “victories” or “agreements,” we, the people of Gaza, feel the harsh void left by this temporary peace. Yes, the waterfall will stop. Bloodshed, but who will bring back our loved ones we lost!? Who will restore the stolen childhood and the homes that were demolished!?

My message to everyone who watches Gaza from afar: We are not just numbers, we are mothers and fathers, children and dreams, we are a people resisting to survive, a people dreaming of freedom and security, we are Gaza, and our story is not just passing news, but rather an endless humanitarian cry.

I remind you that my family only needs to reach €2,500 in order to afford transportation to return to their original place of residence in northern Gaza and set up a tent there.
