Happy Thanksgiving!!!! This year I am thankful for the new AJ alpha Juno and also for the LGBT community in general :)

I love juno a whole lot because i think it’s completely amazing that the only game i actively play after all this time- AJ added a nonbinary identifying character as part of their lore. And like,, in the lead cast no less. <3<3<3

Honestly upon discovering they were nb I was kinda in denial for a few hours cause like,,,, for all my life I kind of took it as fact that I don’t really get to have representation in stuff I like. I kinda just took that as fact that every character in the media I consume I’ll always have a sort of disconnect with; I’ll always be somewhat uncomfortable about some aspect of the character(s) and I’ve just gotten so used to that discomfort that I didn’t really know it was there until Juno came along. I mean,, of course I knew it was there but Juno kinda pushed it to the front of my mind, yknow They were a bit of a wake up call to me sayin’ “Hey!! you’re allowed to have representation in the stuff you like!! you’re allowed to use your creations as self exploration on any level you want!!”

Cause I’ve been thinkin about it a lot and,,, if one character in a game I like has just changed my creative process so much for the better, imagine how a little representation across more media could change other people’s lives too.

Also before I end this post, I am of the firm belief that informing kids about the nuances of LGBT+  identities and sexualities is not inappropriate. Withholding information from kids that could be vital to the way they see themselves and process the world has been and will always be harmful. Just the same as withholding sex education in schools leads to unhealthy practices and decisions, withholding information abt the LGBT community on the grounds that it is “inappropriate” is damaging; mentally, physically, and psychologically. also the argument is hypocritical and just another excuse to push homophobia onto kids.

My identity is not something to be shielded “"for the sake of the children”“ there is nothing inherently inappropriate about gender nonconforming folks k goodnight and happy thanksgiving!! ! go eat some cranberry sauce!!!!!!!!!

I was on AJ and I was in the pillow room and I went to this person’s trade list and on their trade list there were masterpieces that said “DON’T COPY MY LOOKS. i will REPORT YOU. my looks are COPYRIGHT” etc, along those lines. And there was a mp where a jammer was in jail and it was like “this is where people that copyright go” and there was also an mp that said “GET OFF OF MY TRADE LIST” with a skull n it was so funny ahjcjsjfn

i can show screenshots if anyone wants i didnt include their user but it was so wild. i was half tempted to copy their look in front of them to see what would happen agjcbsn. also their looks were pretty basic. if i did copy them would i have DIED? would they have obliterated me dude?
