Exploring a young local artist from South Africa, Rose-Marie Burger. Her work expands over many different fields, most well known for her minimal line work; but you also see her move to more expressive abstract pieces. She dapples in pottery, stamp and print making-making it easy to find and love something from her collections, along side the obvious respect this artist deserves.
Above are three great examples of Burger’s line work, which is simple and clean-but still personal and emotive. Burger also displays lots of interest in the human form, which you find explored a lot in her work...especially the female form, which I believe she captures beautifully.
