a/n: hellooo, i decided to restart my account so i’m in the progress of reposting all of my work at 2am! anyway enjoy :,)

the party was in full swing, music pounding through the house like a second heartbeat. you stood in the corner, nursing a drink you didn’t even like, something fruity mixed with god knows what, and wishing you’d stayed home with your book instead of letting phoebe talk you into coming. she’d insisted it would be “good for you” to get out and have fun, but now she was in the bathroom, leaving you to fend off strangers and awkward conversations alone.

when she finally reappeared, relief washed over you, until you realized she wasn’t alone. trailing behind her were three guys, all tall, with strikingly similar features. triplets, you realized quickly.

“this is nick, matt, and chris,” phoebe introduced casually, like you weren’t standing in front of one of the most recognizable influencer groups.

“hi,” you said with a polite smile, barely meeting their eyes.

“wait a second,” the one in the beanie—chris—said, his lips curving into a teasing grin. “aren’t you that girl from that netflix show?”

you blinked at him, caught off guard by the playful tone. “uh, i guess? if you mean stranger things, then yeah.”

“knew it,” he said, snapping his fingers in mock triumph. “max mayfield in the flesh. wow, i never thought i’d be rubbing elbows with a big hollywood star.” his grin widened, and he leaned against the wall like he was trying way too hard to look cool.

you rolled your eyes, but a laugh escaped before you could stop it. “you’re being dramatic. i’m not that big of a deal.”

“you’re kidding, right?” nick chimed in, nudging chris. “he’s literally obsessed with the show. we’ve heard about you a hundred times.”

“nick,” chris hissed, his face turning pink as he shot his brother a glare.

“oh, really?” you asked, raising an eyebrow at him, your lips twitching with amusement.

“okay, ignore him. he’s exaggerating,” chris muttered, running a hand through his hair. but the tips of his ears were burning red, and the way he avoided your gaze only made you more suspicious.

phoebe smirked, clearly entertained. “looks like someone’s been caught.”

“whatever,” chris shot back, his playful confidence faltering for a moment before he met your gaze again. “i’m just saying, it’s cool to meet you. you’re a big deal. no shame in admitting it.”

you couldn’t help but smile at his awkward recovery, a warmth blooming in your chest that hadn’t been there earlier. “thanks. it’s nice to meet you too.”

“so,” he said, the grin creeping back onto his face, “what’s a famous actress doing in the corner of a party like this?”

“hating every second of it,” you replied dryly, earning a laugh from him.

“then let me make it better,” he said, his voice dropping into something softer, more genuine. “stick with me, and i promise i’ll keep it interesting.”

and for the first time that night, you didn’t feel so out of place.

the sweetest girl you'll ever meet, don't let yourself think that she's some stuck up LA actress! her heart is full of so much love, and she never fails to share it with others

has hundreds of boys (and girls) fawning over her, but she never gives them a chance. she prefers to be independent and to only surround herself with her friends and work. she does catch herself dreaming of being in a relationship occasionally, but she tries to pay mind to her desires.

you'll almost never find her apart from her childhood friend phoebe lee, they're basically inseparable. she trusts nobody in the world as much as her and thanks her lucky stars everyday.

has no trouble getting what she wants, i mean who could resist those eyes of hers?
