I thought this was sort of artsy 📚🎨 - - I was wondering why I put my Bible at the bottom of my stack of books. It wasn't because I hardly read it, or that I don't care for it, but because it is the base. It took me a minute to realize what that meant, but it meant exactly what I said, it is the base. God should be the base [reason] that you do everything, should be the base of your romance (the Nicholas Sparks book) the base of your thoughts (the journal), the base of your memories (the jar), the base of your hard work (Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close book/Summer Work book), the base of your plans (the calendar) and so on. It was something I didn't do on purpose, but something I did because God really is the base of everything. I thought this was something worth sharing ☺️.

This is the sort of dedication I want to work towards.
My recently ex boyf is literally so dedicated to the sport. He goes to bed at 8:30, does two a days, cross training, eats super well, just takes really good care of himself. And not only that but he loves it more than anyone I’ve met. He lives for the competition and takes it as seriously as anything, and you can see how much fun he’s having even when he’s dying during a 3200. He believes so much in himself and his teammates and everyone around him. He’s a really good guy. I really can’t see a future where he doesn’t see all his hard work, love, and dedication pay off. That’s the ultimate goal of running isn’t it?

A lot of people say that they're "too slow" for Cross Country when I talk about it, and then I'm like "it doesn't even matter, you'll still be important to our team, there's no rules for how fast you need to be."
Is 10 minute miles too slow for hs
Nope! There’s no such thing as too slow

I run, I write. They go hand in hand. Because how can a runner not write what she does? A runner must record her times. A runner must record her pain, so she must know what to correct. A runner must correct her mistakes, Correct her form, Correct her habits, Correct herself. A writer must correct her grammar, Correct her plot, Correct her motives, Correct her stories. A runner runs, A writer writes, The runner runs the story, And tells the writer, So that the writer must record it. The writer looks for nature's beauty, to which the runner finds. The longest trail with endless prints of which many runners run, the longest trail that holds the stories. The stories of runners, and how they came to where they are. The stories of runners to which the writer must record. So you see. A runner, A writer, They go hand in hand. - - I don't even know, this is sort of an awkward thing, I'll probably delete it haha. I was just sort of typing, and I don't think this is even good, but you know *shrugs* why not post it?

All writers struggle at some point with the problem of balance between authority and involvement, seduction and revelation. Specifically, beginning writers wonder how much description to employ, and more advanced writers ask how much plot is too much or too little. And there is no better place to find answers than in the Victoria’s Secret catalogue–or in any ad for lingerie–where the arts of seduction and revelation are so successfully practiced. After all, the secret of the effective lingerie ad is the secret of effective storytelling–to provide, moment by moment, the illusion of imminent expose, to give the viewer (read: reader) the uncanny sense that something fundamentally compelling is always just about to be revealed. Lingerie ads and storytelling balance the veiled and the unveiled, the seen and the unseen, the shown and the about-to-be-shown. In short, it is the art of the tease, the craft of selective ‘coverage,’ that, not just in lingerie but in storytelling, works to enthrall.
