I  could  see  him  as  one  of  the  gold  children,  or  perhaps  an  uncle?  perhaps  someone  in  the  whitmore  family  but  an  original  character  so  making  them  a  relative  of  some  sort?   or  someone  underneath  the  wycliffe  household?

we  just  dropped  our  first  event  which  i  am  super  excited  about  especially  because  this  events  ties  beautifully  to  our  plot  progession  !  we  just  had  our  activity  check  so  we  have  a  couple  of  roles  and  open  character  slots  open  so  come  check  us  out  .

the  first  week  of  february  brings  about  a  slow  change  to  the  streets  of  new  york  as  winter  gradually  thaws  and  the  somber  curtain  of  grief  lifts  from  the  members  of  high  society.  the  season  had  survived  a  rather  disappointing  start,  ivory  dresses  exchanged  for  mourning  colors,  but  hesitation  was  still  heavy  in  the  air  as  matriarchs  and  their  successors  exchange  flinty - eyed  stares,  wondering  who  will  be  the  first  to  break  the  ice  and  relaunch  the  new  york  society  into  proper  celebration  once  more.  as  the  gloriously  cultivated  gardens  of  the  city  are  reopened  to  the  public  as  the  weather  turns  warmer  by  the  day,  an  invitation  arrives  at  the  doors  of  the  most  important  families  in  new  york,  carried  to  the  breakfast  table  by  their  footmen. bearing  the  embossed  lettering  of  the  astor  family,  the  letter  invites  all  to  join  montgomery  astor  and  his  wife,  caroline,  in  the  conservatory  garden  in  upper  manhattan  to  celebrate  a  fresh  start  for  the  season. a  subtle  dig  at  the  saint  alban's  failure  at  introducing  themselves  to  the  city,  the  astor  family  has  promised  a  day  filled  with  games  and  food  prepared  by  the  chefs  from  their  esteemed  hotels.  each  guest  also  receives  a  card  with  a  table  number  in  an  effort  by  their  hosts  to  encourage  conversation  all  around,  and  those  within  the  same  table  are  also  considered  partnered  for  a  game  of  croquet.  at  the  end  of  the  party,  the  young  ladies  debuting  for  the  1887  season  will  be  invited  to  stroll  through  the  gardens  accompanied  by  their  fathers  or  brothers  ─  even  those  unfortunate  enough  to  not  receive  an  invitation  find  themselves  lingering  at  the  edges  of  the  public  garden,  hoping  for  a  chance  to  advance  themselves  amongst  society  or  catch  the  eye  of  a  wealthy  patron.

welcome  to  our  first  mini  event  for  gildedfms  !  as  explained  about,  all  of  our  characters  have  gathered  in  the  conservatory  garden  for  an  afternoon  of  celebration,  and  those  who  have  not  been  invited  find  themselves  there  nonetheless,  either  accompanying  their  employers  or  seeking  favor  themselves.  we  have  prepared  a  table  seating  for  each  character  in  an  effort  to  encourage  interactions  amongst  characters  that  would  not  typically  have  reason  to  speak  to  each  other,  and  we  hope  that  members  will  try  to  write  with  at  least  one  person  at  their  table.  this  mini  event  will  last  for  two  weeks,  starting  from  the  1st  of  march  to  the  15th  of  march,  where  there  will  be  an  interesting  development  for  our  plot  !  as  always,  if  there  are  any  questions  or  concerns,  please  direct  them  to  the  appropriate  channel(s)  in  our  discord  server  and  have  fun  !
