F/Oing a character largely hated for no good reason by the fandom is so frustrating and rage inducing tbh. Especially because I can tell why they're not giving him as much grace as other characters. God forbid a man of color have realistic flaws and come off as a little annoying in a video game. Surely that warrants all the awful things said about him/done to him in fanworks. I don't know why I'm still suprised every time this happens. I just want gamers to be normal and engage with media/characters in a rational way for 5 fucking seconds.

I am going to make it a little broader so it can apply to any child f/os , like ones you’re parental to or younger siblings ect as well, i hope that’s ALG!!

-They would look up to you so much. Kids don’t always show this kind of thing, but they feel inspired by you and want to know all about you, getting involved in your hobbies or wanting to learn more about your job, even wanting to go into it themself one day.

-Speaking of spending time with them, it’d mean the world whenever you take an interest in *their* interests. Whether it’s watching a film they like with them, playing video games together, or anything else, it makes them so happy.

-Imagine going out as a family! Maybe ice skating, or to the beach, or to the arcade, or anywhere else you might like. The three of you having fun as you take them somewhere nice and stopping for food on the way home. If you aren’t biologically related but you’ve known them for a while, they introduce you as their cousin (or big sibling/parent) to anyone they meet.

-They’d feel so safe and secure knowing that they have someone they can go to with their problems, no matter how hard. They always have someone who’ll give them a hug, or fix them a hot chocolate, or listen to their worries- whatever they need. Especially if they’ve been through trauma, they’d feel so much better knowing you’re nearby and you’ll keep them safe.

-I’ve been seeing videos lately about how good it is to ‘dance it out’ when you’re stressed. Maybe they join in with you right away, maybe it takes a minute, or maybe it they don’t at all for the first few times. But as long as you’re getting silly and encouraging them, you know they’ll feel safe enough to join you in the end.

-Imagine spending one on one time with them! Spending an equal amount of time with each kid, of course, but making sure they know how special they are and how much you love them.

Imagine this… The temperature is getting lower and lower with each passing day. Usually you wouldn’t mind because you are in a warm, cozy room. However, what if in that room for one reason or another the heater stopped working?

Now you are sitting there, packed in layers of warm clothes but that still wasn’t enough? You still feel as if you are at the point of shivering. You can still feel the cold air right against your skin. 

That’s where your f/o comes in. It’s so cold that you beg them to stay close to you. Perhaps you want to take the chance to cuddle them beneath a wooly blanket? Or even without… Either way may work to warm you up.

Would they give in right away, because it’s cold? Or are they the stubborn type who insists that ‘none of you need it’, only to cave anyway because they just can’t stand seeing you all cold. That and they might be too cold as well, just not wanting to admit to it.

So you are in a position both of you are comfortable in, warms around one another, maybe even with a warm blanket wrapped around the both of you. You feel warmer, not just on the outside but also on the inside. Exactly what one may need to warm up during unbearably cold days, isn’t it?
