I keep wishing for the day when your name miraculously pops up on my screen, and my heart stops for one quick second. Will that day ever arrive? Maybe I can believe it into happening; I guess only time will tell. But in short, I miss you dearly. I can't help but feel the longing for what never was, and possibly never will be.

It hurts, it's heavy,
Is this even normal?
Time we didn't share,
Turns to overwhelming emotion,
Longing for what may never be.

You reached out. You broke no contact… what can I say, Ive missed you. It brought a smile to my face to see that it was Saturday night and you were thinking of me. But that was very short lived. Then i started thinking about what you could be up to, how the night would end up for you, stressing about your whereabouts, and that was enough to bring me back to reality. The reality in which im insecure by your side because i don’t trust you. The reality that you’re impulsive, and lack self control. The reality that you don’t respect boundaries, hence you texting me though i explicitly told you not to. The reality that you had me, time and time again. Chance and chance again, and yet, every single time you failed me. My brain doesn’t want to recognize it, but thats my reality. Staying by your side, going back to you means giving up on my peace. It means giving up on my faith that I deserve better, and I do. I love you, I really still do. But despite my strong feelings for you, I chose to love myself more and prioritize my peace, and unfortunately, I can’t find that with you. Maybe one day the puzzle pieces will click. Maybe one day we can try again. Maybe one day we’ll be destined forever together. Unfortunately, todays not that day.

Learn to give people up before they hurt you beyond repair. Even if they tell you they will change. Even if they tell you that they love you. Just remember, love isn’t meant to be permanently damaging. Love is meant to aid your healing.

Fyodor Dostoyevsky's quote, "It is better to be unhappy and know the worst, than to be happy in a fool's paradise," speaks to the value of truth and reality over blissful ignorance. Dostoyevsky, a Russian novelist known for his deep psychological and philosophical insights, suggests that facing harsh truths, even if they bring unhappiness, is preferable to living in a state of delusion where one is blissfully unaware of reality. This perspective underscores a fundamental belief in the importance of confronting reality, no matter how painful or unsettling it may be. By advocating for the acceptance of unpleasant truths, Dostoyevsky highlights the potential for growth, understanding, and authenticity that comes from such awareness. Ignorance, while it may provide temporary happiness, is ultimately a fragile and deceptive state that can crumble when confronted with reality. Therefore, Dostoyevsky's quote encourages a courageous embrace of truth and a willingness to endure the discomfort that often accompanies it, as it leads to a more genuine and profound understanding of life. This stance reflects the broader existential themes in Dostoyevsky's work, where characters frequently grapple with profound moral and existential dilemmas, seeking meaning and truth amidst the complexities of human existence.
