Hihi!! I saw your post about lifting cake mix and heres what I advise:
-check the aisle you plan to lift from for any cameras on either end, now since baking stuff isnt really a priority for most store security, it's likely there isnt any at all but sometimes other aisles line up with it that you should be mindful of (ex: my baking supply aisle almost lines up with the baby food on the other side of the walkway, which has the dual sided cams)
-if you worry about getting walked in on, just take the cake mix and walk to the craft or baby toy section (or whatever is a good blindspot) and conceal there
-while you can also get decorating stuff there id recommend that its easier to go to craft stores for those since they have larger options and even less security
Be careful but also have fun!! I hope the cake making goes well!!
ty sm!! it actually went really well!!! me n my friend had lots of fun making it so it was definitely worth it:)

yes it's gluten free, she's got a gluten allergy. here's a pick of my slice btw:)

hi I haven't been around in a while but I'm still lyft1ng and going to try to be more active on here again!
I've mostly been lyft1ng groceries lately so I'm going to share my grocery technique to help anyone who needs it. (this is probably pretty basic and has most likely been shared here before but it works)
small grocery häù1 technique:
you need some reusable bags. personally I use two heavier, more structured ones, and one or two small fabric ones.
you're going to choose one of the thicker reusable bags to store your other bags inside. bend the other thicker one around the inside of that first bag to kind of hollow it out while making it look fuller than it is. then throw in your smaller fabric bags on top so it looks like it's just full of bags. basically just make it look full and position the bags inside it so that the shapes of objects won't show through the sides.
now you're going to head to the store. (i only do this at stores with self checkouts). shop normally, as if you're shopping with your own money. check prices, examine fruit and vegetables before you choose them, etc.
pick up a few things that you need until your hands are full. this is when you're going to put your groceries into your reusable bag. don't try to hide what you're doing, you're just putting things in your bag because your hands are full. tons of people do this, stores don't like it but it's not innately suspicious so long as you've acted like a paying customer (e.g. don't choose the most expensive items you can find and put them in your bag.)
I tend to keep fruits + bread in my hands because they could get crushed in the bag (plus they're cheap), as well as the majority of stuff that I pick up after this point. I usually pay for 4-5 things.
now you're going to proceed to the self-checkout and pay for the things in your hands, use one of your small reusable bags to pack your purchased groceries, and leave. don't pay for anything in your bag.
I've done this for the past month and it's worked every time. i just got $40+ of food for $11 a few days ago. and i learned this trick from someone who's been doing this far longer and it still works for them too.
there are modifications to this you can make. you can put everything in the bag as you go and then do a walkout. you can check for cams and dump into the bag in a blindspot (I personally don't always, I focus more on shopping normally and acting like I have nothing to hide, but if you've scoped ahead of time and know which blindspot you're using then go for it)

this is my lil lifting kit:
-a couple of decoy pens to make it look like a pencil case
-seven lil neodymium magnets hidden in a pen
-masking tape wrapped around a ruler (so i can fit the tape in the box + ruler makes it look like a pencil case) for sticking tags to the underside of chairs etc for hiding
-craft knife for cutting tags off
-ribbon with elastics for removing gator tags
because it looks like a pencil case i dont have to hide it in the lining of my bag. i usually bring a small notebook with me to give a reason for me to be carrying a ‘pencil case’

some additions!!
try to hide stuff on your person. i typically slip things in my pockets and binder! one of my favorite techniques is sliding items in my sleeve, holding them there until im a decent ways away from where i picked it up and pocketing it. i'll either leave it in my pocket or find a restroom to get it out of the package to stuff in my binder.
if there's a box of clearance items, you can usually act like you're going through it while talking things out of packages. this is a common technique. i use this mostly in dollar general makeup clearance.
if there's lots of items hanging up, you might be able to pretend like you're looking through them while sliding something off its packaging. i've used this to get hair clips from dollar tree twice. i just used the sleeve-pocket method once i got it off.
sometimes you can get away with opening drinks in the store and claiming you brought it in with you. i've never tried this but i've heard it works.
as the other person said, confidence is key. if you act all anxious they're going to know something's up and will probably keep an eye on you. try to stay calm. if you feel too anxious, don't try to lift just try again at a later time when you feel better.
stay safe!!
long shoplifting sdvice post. feel free to add to it.
this is for roleplay, and is not genuine advice from a genuine shoplifter.
shoplifting advice, from someone who has never ever lifted 500+ dollars worth of stuff, from:
w@lm@rt (never going there again. got caught recently. they dont play and donated to trump)

and probably more that I can't remember
anywho, ground rules:
chain? free reign
small shop? full stop.
if shoplifting will put someone you are with in danger that they did not agree to, don't do it. especially if you are with a minority.
ok, baseline advice:
alarm goes off? keep. walking. act nonchalant. I've had alarms go off on me - I just kept walking. nobody said anything to me.
be confident, but not cocky. I have walked out of shops with full carts and nobody said a thing. more on this later.
tips and advice in no general order:
don't be rude or overly chatty. if you are rude, anyone who sees you is way more l likely to tell someone. being overly chatty can make you seem suspicious. be careful asking for the location of things - depending on how large the store is, they may watch you til the register. I've seen some advice saying to ask for an object, have them walk you to it, and pretend to be displeased with it and walk out.
don't dress sexy or alluring. do not draw attention or leave any of your tattoos visible. if you have on a really short skirt, don't lift. weirdos may be looking at your ass and noticing you lift.
if you don't have a cart, bring a reusable shopping bag, and just stick shit in there. you don't have to be as sneaky about this, because if anyone notices you can just say you didn't have the hands for all your items, and you were going to pay for it all when you arrived at checkout. I've never been caught stashing anything, but the less suspicious you look the less suspiciously they're likely to treat you. (occasionally i just carry things until i can't hold them all, pretend to be frustrated, stick your shit in the bag to help you carry it.)
employee entrances and exits into the back rarely have cameras, making them great places to stash if you can avoid the employees. I especially like the toilet paper and paper towel roll isles, so i can sit down and take a break, as well as stash some stuff. never stash near a tech area. i did so recently and got caught. go to the kids isle or another area without cameras.
if they try to stop you from going into the bathroom even though you just saw someone else go in, you've been caught. ditch your shit or pay for it and leave. quickly.
if you plan to just walk out with a large basket, it's best to do it somewhere large, with more than one customer exit. if you are leaving the store with just your bag, this matters less. again, confidence is key.
if you do get caught, say you were overwhelmed and have an anxiety disorder, and simply 'forgot'. apologize profusely, and offer to pay for the items. however, if they take you into the back shut the fuck up. do not say anything, give them anything you took, and ask if you are free to leave. I've never tried this but put your personal items in one bag and your shopping items in a reusable bag. if someone questions you or tries to stop you, drop the lifted items and keep walkin.
sometimes if i genuinely get overwhelmed and think I have everything I need, i just walk out quickly - someone stops you? you are overwhelmed and overstimulated, even better if you have headphones that are on. It is really unlikely anyone will touch you, and if they do, flinch. Better if you tear up. I'm autistic so this reaction would likely be legit from me. ymmv.
I recommend masking for the safety of yourself and others, but it also makes you harder to identify. If you don't mask, vary wether you do or don't. normally, people who mask do it all the time, so going between wearing a mask and not wearing a mask may also cause confusion.
If an employee speaks to you, be kind. If they hand you a basket, hold it the same way you do your stash-bag, and put things you don't want in your basket, and things you do want in your bag. leave the basket near the exit, and walk out.
If you fear you have been caught or noticed, stop stashing, buy something small, and leave.
Try not to frequent the same places, and try not to steal every time. (I've broken this rule and been fine, but the point stands.)
christmas time is one of the best times to go shoplifting - it is busy, and staff probably won't look at you too closely if you leave without purchasing something
if you have a bag from a store in a mall that is also in another mall (barnes and noble is in a lot of malls, for example), bring that shopping bag with something small in it, and carry that around to make it seem like you've already spent money. put items in that bag, stores are unlikely to search a bag from another store.
most staff don't get paid enough to care all that much what you do. don't be a nuisance and don't bother them and they probably won't gaf.
if you are carrying a phone or waterbottle, put your items in the hand holding the object, then put them both in the bag at the same time.
THIS IS JUST FOR ROLEPLAY. SHOPLIFTING IS A CRIME AND SHOULD NOT BE DONE BY ANYONE, AT ALL, EVER!! THIS IS FOR WRITING REFERENCE AND ROLEPLAY!! DO NOT TAKE THIS ADVICE TO HEART!!

i actually had a job that had me in walmart and i managed to lift a few things in my breaks and in general it's one of my faves to lift (easy + go there a lot). it's interesting to see different areas reactions. my area they don't have lots of security or anything like that.
got caught lifting at walmart and so did a very close friend. they do not fucking play - i recommend not going there at all, at least in texas or shadier parts of it.
