          it had taken a lot to avoid her father, who despite being absent for most of life, had decided to be almost inescapable now that he wanted something from her. and it seemed that the invisible forces and fears in the world that once went unseen were more clear then ever in everything she did, even as she ran. there was no surprise left in her when she heard the footsteps on the gravel, turning away from the scenery to the woman. well, the spider webs probably meant she wasn’t involved with her father’s patron.
