he stares down at the visage before him , still raising a brow . â i was playing super mario andâ â he pauses at her next question , leaning back further into his chair , gameboy clutched protectively and with an air of suspicion . asher studies her further for a moment , squinting . â are you going to be gentle with gibi if i let you have a turn ? â
BEXâS EYES GO WIDE AND INNOCENT at the question, one hand over her heart and the other open palmed and raised as she shakes her head with a solemn, âscouts honour.â despite the display, bex is sincere as she meets asherâs eyes and says, âgibi is safe in my hands. i promise.â

âUnfortunately.â Aidan had been standing there completely still as if that would somehow protect him from whatever was making the music, even if it didnât sound like it was anywhere near them. He had been on edge since they had got to the attic, the dark dusty room providing him with an atmosphere he was sure would be great for the episode, but wasnât great for him. âIâm glad one of us is having a good time.â His tone was genuine, he was always glad when the otherâs seemed to have a good time on locations, a feeling he had not yet experienced. âI mean, I do love Lizzo. Iâm not sure the dead would exactly be with the times though. Since theyve⌠You know, been dead for like a hundred years.âÂ
âYOUâRE STILL NOT HAVING A good time?â fitz asks in mild concern, smile morphing into a slight frown as he looks at aidanâs stance. he could understand it he supposes. the fear of the unknown and the dead and everything to do with that. he just canât relate to it. the eerie piano playing through the attic only makes fitz want to know answers rather than making him fear for his life, but he knows better than anyone that his perspective on life isnât exactly normal. he makes his way back to aidan to stand a bit awkwardly beside him, hoping that the company will be some sort of comfort if nothing else. âi mean, everyone loves lizzo. right? the question is whether or not weâre shacking up with the kind of spirits who would theoretically love lizzo or like asshole spirits. i mean, iâd say thatâs a that is a pretty good way to differentiate between potential vengeful spirits and benevolent ones.â fitzâs brow is raised as he tilts his head and gestures, âwould they like lizzo or not? if itâs a no then they probably have unfinished business, i mean if you hate lizzo you canât be a happy person.â

thank god, whoever ( or whatever ) was playing the piano had finally given up on âthe entertainerâ â she could only hope that theyâd been replaced by a ghost ( or recording ) with more range. you know, like madonna brahms ! â well, maybe if they were actually capable of leaving the grounds and listening to billboardâs top 100âŚÂ i think weâll be hard-pressed to hear any songs composed after the early 20th century. â oh, but what an idea it gave her⌠a questionable one, one she wasnât even sure was possible, but would at least be an entertaining and, dare she say, even innovative experiment: â unless we can teach them⌠â
âAVA... ARE YOU REALLY SUGGESTING that we play these spirits lizzo and see if they can not only register the music weâre playing but mimic it?â fitz asks with faux solemnity, looking at ava very seriously for a few moments before he is slowly shaking his head. â...that is such an irresponsible use of our resources.â fitzâs lips are twitching then, the act falling away in favour of his eagerness as he grins and honestly says, âand also everything iâve ever wanted. so yes, the answer is yes, letâs do it.â fitz moves to try and shove his camcorder under his armpit then, using his now free hand to reach into his pocket and pull out his phone even as he rambles, âgod, okay, what lizza song should we chose? i mean, i know truth hurts is the obvious choice but i have a soft spot for juice. and i mean, i did just quote the opening line to tempo...â ftizâs brows are furrowed for a second before heâs looking at ava thoughtfully, âwhat do you think the ghost will respond best to?â

BEX WAS NOSY. honestly, it was a fault she was well aware of. she simply liked to know things, even if those things werenât technically her business. maybe it was a byproduct of the many years of her life sheâd been able to simply touch things and know their life story. her talent had definitely fed her thirst for knowledge in more ways than one. but now she is looking for albie to, bending down at the waist from where she is behind him to look curiously over his shoulder as she scans his notes with inquisitive dark eyes. her next words are in a faux whisper that she hopes doesnât startle him as she asks, âwhat are you writing? anything good?â
albie wandered around the theatre, taking in each detail before it was time to sit down for the show. his eyes scanned each detail, design and glamorous piece of furniture. he ran his fingers along the wood of the bar, his finger tips dancing along the smooth surface. when he reached the end of the bar, he finally looked up, noticing that there was no one around, he sat himself down on a stool and pulled out his notebook, beginning to make notes for later.

âDO YOU FREAKING HEAR THAT?â fitz asks enthusiastically, camcorder in his hands and eyes wide like a child in a candy shop as he listens to the faint sound of piano through the attic. his expression is lit up with wonder unfitting of the admittedly pretty creepy situation they are in, but fitz could never hide his enthusiasm and he wasnât going to learn that skill now. âthe piano...â fitz glances around the attic for another few moments, smile widening as he calls, âgod, iâve been waiting for this one! turn it up!â fitz is still grinning at his own joke as he continues to record around the attic, all for his own records of course. âwhat do you think is the potential of the spirits being lizzo fans? iâm thinking pretty high. i mean, who isnât a lizzo fan, right?â

rika: so do we think now would be a good time to put on my own show? i am torn between legally blonde and wicked
rika: it just seems such a waste of a good stage, y'know?
fitz: wait are you saying you're gonna get up there?
fitz: because if so, yes. the answer is yes, and i think that legally blonde is the only right answer here. i mean, what like it's hard? a cultural reset.
