The day Zemon got his scar was also the day he left Baldur, which despite being the place he had to learn to accept, was the only home he had left.

He, who was raised in coldness by strangers but with an opulent roof and satin sheets, with his weak constitution, shared nothing with them but their race.

He remembered the song of Elturel his mother sang him to sleep, and realized that maybe - maybe - this was the whole point. Maybe his mother was trying to protect him from this.
