Why didn't anyone tell me how addictive lemon water is?
It only took buying 3 bags of lemons for a colon cleanse (which is also addicting btw) and now bc of the pressure to consume these lemons I'm now addicted to lemon in my water... better yet.. starting my day off with a hot lemon water.
The colon cleanse you ask? (no one asked)
Your fav 30oz tumbler
1-2 lemons, juiced
1-2 T maple syrup
1 t cayenne pepper
water to top. Think of it as a spicy lemon tea. My mom used to put me on this colon cleanse as an 11 yr old chubby kid.. for weeks. It's not fair for a kid, but I can tell I've cleared up my trauma bc now I have reclaimed it and LOVE it for a 1-3 day cleanse.

SUGAR IS FUCKING YOU UP
Seriously… here are all the things it contributes to:
Increased calorie intake. Its calorie dense and stokes hunger drive as it’s highly addictive
Excess sugar is stored as fat, especially visceral fat (around organs) which contributes more to health risks
Insulin resistance. Not just diabetes. About 40% of Americans WITHOUT diabetes have insulin resistance, which makes weight loss that much harder.
Hormone disruption. Specifically CORTISOL aka the stress hormone and androgen - which is something thats released en masse in your teens, often causing acne breakouts.
Systemic inflammation. Not just puffiness around your face, but in your organs.
Gut imbalance. Too much can mean candida (aka a yeast infection) can take over your gut microbiome. This can lead to all sorts of weight, digestion, and skin issues bc your gut health is directly linked to your skin health.
PREMATURE AGING. Sugar glycates. Basically, it attached to proteins like collagen and EATS it.
PCOS - sugar-induced insulin resistance makes PCOS symptoms worse.
And so so many more.. its fucking nuts.

Wtff I need to change my coffee order.
Just got my usual - triple shot grande latte w/ 3x brown sugar & cinna
No wonder I’m not losing - its 255 cals and 35 carbs + 21 sugar, which is really 56g sugar. Fun fact - food companies separated carbs and sugar in the 70s to make their new “super taster” processed foods more appealing.. it all breaks down into sugar.
Next time, americano with splash of cream and nixxing the syrup. I have My Normal (brand) allulose syrup, highly recommend for a healthy diet, it’s naturaly derived and totally safe for the body! New total: 85 cals and 5g carb / 2g sugar = 7g sugar. Yes.
Thats 170cal difference for a drink… but more importantly I wont be messing up my body with a ton of sugar first thing in the morning.
Info post about sugar incoming 💫

Hi~ My name is Jules and this is what I looked like at this years Talladega Nights Christmas party.
Pls be kind, I'm learning to be comfortable in front of the camera but knowww I'm so awk.
I'm 35 and had a gastric sleeve weight loss surgery in July 2024. After a lifetime of disordered eating, loathing my body, yo-yoing, and frankly, a shit-ton of traumatic family "input" - I did this for myself.
I've lost nearly 60lbs but have stagnated. Accountability + community have always been motivating, so here we are.
I'll be:
healing my shit
Traxking my meals/cals
logging progress
sharing thoughts, wins, and struggles
READ: I'm on a clinical diet monitored by my GP and surgical team that is extremely restrictive and reductive. It comes with a handful of supplements (literal gag) and check-ins. As such, I will not be giving out "diet" advice.
Having said that.. If you’ve had to deal with forced diets, body shaming from family, bullying, binge and p*rging, starving, trying to use drugs to lose weight.. and so much more, let’s be friends ❤︎︎
