feelin pretty down and out, so i think i’m just gonna play videogames today.

𝚁𝙰𝙽𝙳𝙾 𝙷𝙲 𝙳𝚄𝙼𝙿.

         ¹         you   know   how   cloud   gave   denzel   his   fenrir   ring?         yeah   so   i   headcanon   that   cloud   let   him   “borrow”   it,      as   a   promise   that   he’d   always   come   back   to   get   it   some   day,      so   denzel   isn’t   afraid   of   being   abandoned/left   behind   in   some   way   or   another.      granted   cloud   will   never   ask   for   it   back,      it’s   the   point   that   still   stands.      

             ²              denzel   eerily   takes   after   aerith   in   more   ways   than   just   coincidentally   looking   like   her!               he’s   got   an   aptitude   for   magic   /   materia   use,      and   when   he’s   older   he   uses   a   staff   like   she   did.         

               ³            denzel   is   afraid   of   unprompted   loud   noises   (lightning   storms,   fireworks,   explosions,   etc),         because   of   his   memory �� of   the   day   the   plate   fell   and   the   sound   of   it   crushing   sector   seven   along   with   his   parents.

                ⁴           when   denzel   is   older,   he   is   equipped   with   a   short   sword   and   a   staff   as   previously   mentioned.   

                ⁵          denzel   goes   by   the   nickname   “den/denz”   or   “zel”   more   than   he   actually   goes   by   the   name   denzel.         tifa   is   usually   the   only   one   that   calls   him   denzel,   and   particularly   when   he’s   in   trouble,   in   danger,   or   when   she’s   teasing   him.   

                 ⁶         denzel   sees   tifa   as   a   mother   figure,  aerith/zack as a guardian angel,     and   cloud   as   a   brother/father   figure.

                 ⁷          denzel   was   in   fact   lead   by   aerith’s   spirit   in   some   form   or   another,   to   cloud   at   her   church   that   day.

PERCHED   ON   THE   CURB,         denzel   flashes   ᵃ   ˡⁱᵍʰᵗ   inside   of   the   motorcycle’s   engine   !                           watching   incessantly   the   interchanging   of   parts,      swapping   of   oil,      and   otherwise   general   tinkering   of   cloud’s   hands   in   the   mechanics   of   his   bike.            if   denzel’s   wrist   was   cramping   up,      who   was   to   say?         ᶜᵉʳᵗᵃⁱⁿˡʸ   ⁿᵒᵗ   ᵗʰᵉ   ᵇᵒʸ   ,      as   he   silently   switches   hands   and   leans   in   closer   over   the   man’s   shoulder   to   take   a   peak.                              “         what’s   that   do,      @nibels​?         “
