Computation as a design methodology is to formulate the specific. Where computer-aidid processes begin with the specific and end with the object, computational processes start with elemental properties and generative rules to end with information which derives form as a dynimic system.

Affective Cities v.02
An affective geometry emerges from the city, helping us to understand better the city dynamics and interactions. Also, each corner of the city can be transformed into a piece of art, collecting all the feelings, images and texts that the citizens experience near it. Affective Cities is a new way to interact with your city. You can add 'affects' to the city: short messages attached to an emotional state and to a specific time and city location. This new way of interaction unveils a new perspective of the city, that of an affective view, enabling new ways to interact with the city and among citizens. The city livability can be improved through these new affective and citizen-centric perspectives. Affective landscape, emotional overlap from several users is coded in height, thus drawing the city affect geometry. This unlocks new possibilities: you can explore physically affective zones and meet or follow people that resonates with your affective view of the city.

UrbanXGame - Etudiants de l'Ecole d'Architecture et Paysage de Bordeaux sous la direction de Claire Petetin
Ce jeu, basé sur le pilotage de drones téléguidés, a permis aux visiteurs d’accéder à des zones de la caserne normalement hors de portée. Ces drones étaient capables d'enregistrer leur position en vol et de les communiquer en temps réel à un écran de projection. Les informations récoltées ont été traduites sous la forme d’une cartographie fluctuante des lieux. Chacun des joueurs a contribué à construire et modifier cette représentation symbole des déambulations individuelles, donnant ainsi à voir une autre perception des lieux. A l'échelle du corps, ces drones représentaient des avatars permettant aux joueurs de se déplacer dans des zones difficiles d'accès.
Nous avons réalisé les outils de récupération et de visualisation de données en temps réel. Le développement d’une application iPhone embarquée a permis de géolocaliser les drones, de récupérer et de stocker ses cordonnées pour les transmettre en temps réel à la représentation.

superposition is a project about the way we understand the reality of nature on an atomic scale and is inspired by the mathematical notions of quantum mechanics. Performers will appear in his piece for the first time, performing as operator/conductor/observer/examiners. All the components on stage will be in a state of superposition; sound, visuals, physical phenomena, mathematical concepts, human behaviour and randomness – these will be constantly orchestrated and de-orchestrated simultaneously in a single performance piece.

GROWTH :: aggregate of 9*9m cubes: far from being written within any CA, L_System or agent based existing model of computation engine, here the custom growth within a packing strategy allows recombination and therefore non-linearity. That being said it uses probabilistic randomness and therefore doesn’t allow the same overall structure to be produced twice. In a way an issue.
