NEW PROJECT!: Tears of Love.
—Macro/Water Drop Photography on a deeper, more personal level. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As some of you may know, my mom died very unexpectedly a little over a year ago. Since then I have made drastic changes in my life for the better. I knew that if I wanted to heal from my past traumas, I had to force positivity, promote over the top mental & physical health, and consistently strive for continuous growth. I am proud to say that I have healed more than expected and also given myself the purest and strongest state of happiness I have ever felt. Although I try to radiate joy on a regular basis, I do allow myself to mourn when I need to. That is what brought me this idea— the #tearsoflove project. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I stumbled upon water drop photography recently and ended up incorporating my adoration of flowers, catching the reflections in each droplet. But I thought, 🤔“How do I make this even more personal? How can I dig deeper in to my life and share my feelings through art?” Of course, my mom came to mind. I wondered if I could place the picture from her funeral upside down behind the water drop valve and see if I could catch a reflection of her right side up in the droplets. After countless hours of setting up my gear, adjusting precise settings and focus, I was able to create just that.

I want this piece of art to show that it’s more than okay to let your emotions out healthily. Our tears from loss show just how much we love.

In times of darkness in my own life, I strive to find the positive outlook of the situation. I tell myself this is happening for a greater cause and that brighter energy will come from it.
