I know I haven't done any cosplay in forever, I have some outfits to share that I love, but this one came in the mail today and I couldn't wait to try it on and show it off! 😍 Ever since I started collecting Teen Wolf outfits, this skirt, especially with the unicorn sweater, has been at the top of my list but I had never seen it for sale anywhere. My year

I always hate New Year’s and the forced introspection and the resolutions and all of that, because usually it just highlights all the ways in which I’m lacking. But I want to look at it differently this year. I want to look at how far I’ve come and allow myself to be proud.

This year, it’s tempting to say that my depression beat me down, but let’s change the perspective on that and say that it’s the year I finally stood up to my mental health problems. I asked for help. I was prescribed antidepressants and I started therapy. Mental health should be treated like physical health, but that’s something I struggle with. But I take my medication and I’m figuring my shit out with my therapist and I’ve come a long way.

In the midst of all that, I somehow managed to apply for and interview for and actually get a job that is so perfect for me. It’s close to home and it’s such a nice, supportive environment. I feel respected and valued, which I never was in my old job. And I did that. I took control of the situation and I took the steps to make it better and it was so incredibly hard but it paid off. It was worth it.

There’s been downs. My creativity has suffered. Meds take a while to get used to, even if they’re the right ones for you. Every time I think I’m levelling out I seem to get thrown off my game again. I’m trying not to put pressure on myself in that respect though. I’m still healing. I need to make that my priority, no matter how much it sucks to lose the thing I defined myself by. It’s not gone completely though. There are still words. I just need to be patient with them.

I’m stronger than I was at the beginning of this year. Therapy has really helped me with setting goals and figuring out where I want to go and then figuring out the steps to get me there because you can’t do it all at once and that always discouraged me from even trying. But I’m trying. I’m taking those tiny steps, one after the other. I can’t ask much more of myself than that.

losing people between chapters is unfortunately just part of it :( i really feel you on that one. i didn't get around to leaving a comment on the latest chapter yet but i DID read it and I LOVED IT! you're doing such awesome things with this universe and i'm really excited to see where their relationship goes between them BOTH as omega and alpha AND as stiles and derek because it's been so beautiful on both ends!

Thank you very much for the kind words, I really appreciate it and they mean a lot to me. I don’t blame anyone for falling away from this one, I know it had to go on hiatus for a long time and no one knows when to expect an update (least of all me ;) ) so I’m sure people miss them when they do come around. I just miss meaty discussions and people being as excited about my stories as I am, but maybe when that spark comes back to me, the readers will feel it too. Writing has always been a communal exercise for me. I’m so grateful for all the comments I get and all the love, I get so excited for each and every one.
