🗡 — anditsxsorrows
he had watched her, something amusing flickering across his features as he walked towards where she’d headed off to. of course he could have Vamped but doing so would have caught everyone’s attention. so instead he darts outside after her, managing to catch up and sidles up alongside of her. he turns to look at her, his hand wrapped around her altered drink.
“ I think you forgot something, sweetheart. “ he began, rounding so that he can turn to face her more fully. he smiles at her, something uneven written in his gaze. he’s curious, he can’t help it. something written somewhat severe weighs heavily in the cup but he doesn’t mind the deed only seems eager to sort out the why of it all,
a grin remains across his lips as he swirls the coffee in the cup he’s holding, his brows lifting some as he does. “ I wouldn’t want someone to pick up something that doesn’t belong to them. “ he laughs lightly and then holds out the cup towards her, waiting for her to take it.
Nanthis hadn’t expected anyone to follow her, much less with the drink that she’d poisoned. This of course, put quite a damper on her plans and caused her to stop where she was, turning and looking at her newfound guest. “Someone already did.” She responded, clearly annoyed. “That drink was left there with a purpose. And now I have to return to make sure that it goes to the right person. Then, of course, there’s now you to deal with as well.”  She didn’t have many plans, other than the ones the fleshed out beforehand. She was rarely prepared for hitches in her plans because they so often went off so well. But now, she’d have to figure out what it was she could do with this gentleman who’d chased her down the street to return a cup of coffee. Maybe he’d drink it. “Why don’t you make this easier on both of us and have a sip of that coffee you picked up.”

@anditsxsorrows for our thing
New York was glorious. It was huge, and lifelike, and most importantly the chances of her getting caught on duty were very slim. The crime rates were high--not that she needed them to be, she was very clever with her poisons--and that made the perfect coverup for someone like her. She’d tried the small town life, but it grew boring having to hide so much more carefully than she had to here. Still, she made sure to keep her work life in the night and separated from the life that she attempted to live during the day.
Today, however, she’d had the unfortunate task of a target that was only attainable during the day given their work life. A doctor, it appeared. It didn’t matter to Nanthis, killed who she was asked to kill--it didn’t matter who they were or who they might become. No one got in the way of her and her money. Uncorking the cap from her poison bottle, the assassin dumped its contents into a cup of coffee, before taking it to a table. No one had noticed that she didn’t work as the barista, but of course, no one in New York cared when offered enough money. As soon as the cup was settled on the table, she turned away from the table and pulled off the apron that she’d commandeered. Exiting the small coffee shop, she made her way outside, pausing just long enough to make sure that the fast acting poison would work just as it always had.

@reformed-serial-killer liked this for a thing
Small town life wasn’t for her. Being an assassin, she needed people--a lot of people. Nanthis wasn’t even sure how she’d come to settle in a small town, except that she’d followed a target there before killing them. She hadn’t been caught--she never had been, obviously--but murders in a small town would definitely draw more attention. But she was careful--poisons that left no trace were her specialty. Besides, since no one knew this person, she was sure that she was in the clear.
She’d made her way into a dark alley, just as she always did when she needed to switch back to the life of a normal person. Pulling the mask off of her face, Nanthis paused when she saw the rush of a shadow which caused her to pull it right back on. She made sure that whenever she fought, whenever she killed, that no one saw her identity. “You’ve made a very unfortunate decision.”

🗡 — @seesgood
🗡。・:*:・゚ She was careful. It was part of the job. She always wore black, as many assassins did, and she kept her face covered. No one would know. No one *should* know, anyway. But in a town overrun with vampires—you came into contact with one or two when you made it your life’s work to kill people for a living—she wasn't entirely worried about her identity being found out. The sheriff in this small town had much bigger things to worry about than a rogue like herself. It was her day life that was harder for her to adjust to; wearing her version of normal clothes and leaving the mask at home. That was the most uncomfortable part. She didn't like for people to see her face.
It was this train of thought that had her distracted enough that she quite nearly ran into someone, but she at the last moment she stepped out of the way. And then she paused.
“I know you. You’re the sheriff’s daughter, right?” Never mind *how* she knew that; it was her business to know of anyone that could potentially be a threat.
