nothing canon era fic writers could come up with will ever be as cruel as modern au fic writers putting these guys in the most basic modern scenarios. like he was born to live & die by the blade, his story was over before it began. and you made him take the bus and work a 9 to 5 job

i like damien on his own but i dont think he has any natural on-screen chemisty with the rest of the cast. this doesnt mean he doesnt have his moments performance vise etc. but i dont see it when people talk about "sibling" energy with anyone else. they/he makes it very obvious that he doesnt hang out with the cast or is there in the office enough to chat casually with them to be able to tune in to their natural conversation/joke flow. idk, all i get from damien pairings is "sometimes amicable coworkers" vibes. it feels like sometimes the others are walking on eggshells around him a little.. also this is a litle unrelated but, i know damien talked about saying sorry a lot before, i wonder if he is aware that somebody saying sorry for things that arent problems may put other people in a weird awkward place where they wonder since this person is apologizing for everything are they also supposed to be apologizing for random shit well? idk i think saying sorry all the time is an understandable but still a bad habit that actively harms your communication style with other people. he also says thank you a lot i noticed, especially when people are just stating/pointing things out
