World of Horror was another of my favorite games of last year. A wonderful, creepy mix of the roguelike, RPG, and visual novel genres, IMHO.
For more on why I liked World of Horror so much, read the blog post I wrote about my favorite games of 2023.

One of the last games I started (and finished!) last year, Metro Quester (pictured here), also was one of my favorite games of last year.
Find out why in the post I wrote about my favorite games of 2023.

I say it’s homophobic that Voice of Cards doesn’t let me accept the Muscular Man’s request and spend the rest of my life loving him, his nutritional meals, and his engorged, erm, body.

Raise your hand if you’d like a sequel or some other sort of follow-up to The Legend of Legacy and/or The Alliance Alive to be announced this year.
Well, my hand is raised, at least.
On a related note, this is one of 13 games I hope are announced or released in 2023.

Anyone else hoping Square Enix gives us a Dungeon Encounters II this year??
Regardless, it's one of 13 games I'm hoping are announced/released in 2023.

Not only do you kiss regular enemies to captivate (rather than kill) them while playing Uchu Shinshuchu, an old-school-esque action-platformer for the Nintendo Switch, but you kiss the game’s bosses, too. Muah!!
Check out my latest blog post to learn more about Uchu Shinshuchu ^_^

If you've ever dreamt of playing an old-school action-platformer that has you kiss enemies rather than jump on or otherwise attack them, Uchu Shinshuchu may be the game for you.
Or it may not be, as even after conquering 25 of its 51 stages I'm still teetering on the fence as to whether I like or loathe this digital Nintendo Switch title.
To learn why, read my latest blog post.

Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness for the Nintendo Switch.
Not only was Made in Abyss one of my favorite games of 2022, it also was my most-played game of 2022. I put just over 90 hours into it last year.

I sadly failed to finish a whopping seven games in 2022. That may sound silly, but I rarely walk away from games before “beating” them--even ones I dislike.
Which games am I talking about here?
13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
Fuga: Melodies of Steel
Live A Live
Nora and the Time Studio
SaGa 2 Hihō Densetsu: Goddess of Destiny
Shin Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation
Skyrim
To hear why I failed to finish these games as well as whether I plan to return to them in 2023, read my new blog post.

According to various outlets, Game Freak has registered a new trademark for Pocket Card Jockey that suggests a remaster, remake, or sequel may be coming our way.
I’m a tad excited by this news. Why? For starters, Pocket Card Jockey is one of my favorite 3DS games. Hell, it’s one of my all-time favorite games, period. It’s also one of my most-played games. I’ve put nearly 35 hours into it this year alone, and over 200 hours into it since it first released back in 2013.
Should you want to learn more about the original Pocket Card Jockey, may I suggest reading my Pocket Card Jockey review or my long and nerdy blog post on how to play and succeed at Pocket Card Jockey?

I recently finished my playthrough of Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness’ “Deep in Abyss” mode. Despite a few hiccups along the way (*cough* the entire third layer *cough*), I loved the experience. In fact, I’m still playing it. I’m finally strong enough to take down some of the game’s biggest baddies, so I’m going to enjoy that for a bit before moving on to something else.
