weird as hell that cinderpelt is denied becoming a warrior after her leg got mangled on the exact same book that deadfoot is introduced. do you think she was pissed as hell when she found out that another three-legged cat is the deputy of windclan

At some point over the years, Hawkfrost has been cemented as the "spare" for me. You only need one son for an heir; the second son is just the spare. He's not important until something goes wrong.
In my headcanons, Tigerstar wants Brambleclaw to be his successor. He needs Hawkfrost to lure Brambleclaw in and disarm him, but Hawkfrost is just a pawn. Hawkfrost knows this and it burns him, he wants to be the important son, he wants to be the one his father wants. He'll do anything to earn Tigerstar's approval.
#this idea is so ingrained in my head#wym other people are just realizing it#obviously the fact that brambleclaw and tigerclaw look so similar was very important to tigerclaws plans#the propaganda machine and all#and brambleclaws parentage falls much more in line with tigerclaws xenophobic beliefs/stance#both his parents were from and in the same clan and he was born into the same clan as them#theyre all from thunderclan#hawkfrost has a loner (former kittypet) mother#was born outside the clans#and was raised in a different clan from his fathers original clan#hes such a black sheep#doomed to be the failure despite how willing he was to do anything for his father to earn his approval#vs brambleclaw who on paper would have been the perfect heir of Racismclan if he wasnt taught as much tolerance and honor and diplomacy#that fireheart (born a kittypet himself) taught him

So if kittens in warrior cats never age in Starclan when they die young, does that also like, apply the same to kits who died via miscarriage. Is this scene plausible

I can never revisit warrior cats because I'll notice it being really heavily Indigenous coded in a way that's Weird About It. Like more than I already noticed it. And it'll be like plato's cave. I'll reawaken the spirit of my 10 y/o self who read the first two books and hated them passionately bc I found the writing subpar. And no one will believe me when I tell them the subpar "game of thrones, with cats, for kids" books were lowkey racist

yellowfang, i wish you were here. my sister is dying.
ID in alt and under cut
ID: digital painting of Cinderpelt and Brightpaw from Warriors. They are two cats curled around each other. Brightpaw, a ginger-and-white cat, is badly injured with cobwebs as bandages around her face and other injuries. She is unconscious and lying on her side in a moss nest. Cinderpelt, a gray cat, is curled around her with her tail over Brightpaw's back, looking at her with concern. They are in a shaded den surrounded by autumnal ferns, with a pool of water in the corner, and a strip of bright sunlight illuminating their faces. end ID.

I have realized that when I imagine Firestar I always imagine him as a scrawny little guy as an apprentice and a buff fat man as a leader.
This is beautiful actually... imagine this scrawny thing joining the clan and then growing into a buff fluff ball lmao

mistystar’s omen is not a good book but this one passage has been sticking with me all day.
genuinely hilarious how this teenager is so excitedly interested in the freshly dead body of his leader he just goes straight up to it and starts picking at it in public. no hint of grief whatsoever. why did they write this. rushpaw what goes on in your mind

ok but for serious though, the Clans should have realized something was wrong with the system and the Clan Code during the Brokenstar era at least. like, Pinestar leaves ThunderClan and stops being leader to be a kittypet (which they then make a new warrior code about not being allowed to go be a kittypet), but he still gets to join StarClan and be called Pinestar up there when he dies. But then, Brokenstar becomes leader of ShadowClan, he breaks numerous warrior codes, and yet when he is banished from ShadowClan by majority decision of his clanmates, StarClan arbitrarily decides that Nightpelt doesn't get to be given 9 lives and still recognizes Brokenstar as the rightful leader??? what awful judgement, the Clans NEED to unionize.

i would be a kittypet all the way in the warrior cats universe. if i heard a bunch of guys were in the woods killing each other for survival and they think i'm the lame one for getting mediocre banquets i would be like you guys are stupidd and then when the thunderclan medicine cat comes by my fenced lot to pick yarrow i would be like what are doing and shes like medicine so my clanmates don't die and i'm like wow you guys really have it that rough. and she keeps encountering me and one day i'm like why don't you come inside there's plenty of kibble and she averts her eyes shyly and is like ...no that would be against starclan and i'd go To have a little kibble? and she's like You know what i mean. and i do. 5 moons later she is getting adopted by my people and visions of her ancestors still haunt her and she is from time to time like Did I do the right thing...? how could i be so selfish...? and i'm like my toy mouse squeaks

thoughts on longtail? people always interpret him in so many different ways..brown tabby, silver tabby, people with less knowledge of cat genetics often draw him as this light cream color with black stripes which could be seen as golden maybe but isn't realistic generally lol. canonically he's described as "pale brown tabby with black stripes" but is portrayed in the manga as looking almost blue.
Even the books don't seem to be able to agree on him:
"Longtail is a lean, pale brown tabby tom with black stripes and green eyes. [...] Although called silver in Rising Storm, he is called brown less than fifty pages later. [...] In addition, Longtail is depicted as a brown tabby in A Thief in ThunderClan, on his profile on the Warrior Cats website, and on his mini, though he is depicted as a silver tabby on the family tree."
I've said once that i'm with the figurine in this question, and I still am: I headcanon him as black tabby point - kinda brown, kinda grey, definitely pale.
He has illustrations like these:
Seems pretty pointed.

Okay it's not QUITE as bad as I thought off the top of my head because for some reason I keep thinking Lionblaze and Cinderheart are related but either way this tree is actually a closed circle
