xbloodstormx:
Bloodstorm chuckled as she watched the other try to cover up. “It was a few of the younger kids.” She laughed. Watching as the kids ran outside with the male’s clothing. Her eyes soon turned white and within a second there was a thunderstorm outside. The kids came running back inside with the male’s clothing. She cocked her head for them to give them back and they soon ran off. “You’re welcome.” She teased, turning around so he could get dressed.
Why was here and why did he choose to try and get changed here? He’d never know. What he did know was that he was grateful to her for getting his pants back wishing he wasn’t the going commando type of person he was. “Hahahaha, not funny!” He half joking scolded as the kids put down his pants. As she turned around he moved his hands and began to slide on his custom made athletic wear. “Y’know, normally I charge the big bucks for people to see my big green booty but you got to see it for free. You’re welcome.” Amadeus said as he wobbled trying to get his over sized foot through the clingy pant leg. “Thanks by the way. Owe you one!”

Amadeus took a deep breath before entering the password in on the door. This was not something he was looking forward to doing and he wasn’t about to trust anyone else with this. Tensions were too high and Sam needed someone who cared about him and knew him to do that. The door hissed as it depressurized and slid open for Amadeus revealing a holding cell for Sam. There was a bed, desk, and a toilet for Sam’s use while he had been locked up. Now that he’s gotten a chance to get some rest and sleep some Amadeus had to take the opportunity to get things done. They couldn’t wait any longer.
“Hey Sam.” Amadeus said sheepishly as he offered a small smile, pushing the cart with all of his equipment in the room. There was a lot he wanted to say but there was a time and place to get into it. Pressing a button the cameras focused in on the two of them. “We’re going to do an interview alright? I’m not mad, we just need to figure out what happened. I’m going to have to hook you up to these, okay, Sam?” he asked trying to maintain a polite and serious demeanor despite wanting just to scream about all of this.

“Alright Riri, fact check this for me.” Amadeus said as he hurriedly gestured her into his temporary lab. “I’ve already had Bruce fact check this and ran the simulation about 9.6 million times and I’m getting pretty consistent results, but now’s not the time for pretty, so i wanted to get another set of eyes in on this, okay?” He was speaking rather quickly and while frantic he was focused and determined.
He tossed a few elephant tranquilizers in his mouth along with antibiotics and chewed them up as he reset his count to his next dosage in his head. He had to keep himself busy. He couldn’t train or fight right now, he couldn’t get himself to relax enough to play his games so he had to do work, and since Nadia couldn’t right now he had to do it for the both of them.

Amadeus wasn’t supposed to be up and about right now, but as far as he was concerned he didn’t have a choice. Nadia was down, four of the five mutants that had the Phoenix were kind of crazy and scary, and he didn’t know what to do with himself. When in doubt work. He was in the lab the Bruce had prepared for his personal use and was just borrowing the space.
Using Nadia’s data, his own, and the recordings and observations caught throughout the moon incident he was punching the numbers and searching for answers. Any answers. Seeing how much of the raw power of the phoenix force his mace could redirect. How much of the cosmic radiation and flames from the phoenix it would take to kill him. Making estimates on roughly how much more powerful the five had gotten and most importantly trying to figure out their next moves. This was his strong suit. If there was anyone better than him at pattern recognition on the planet he hadn’t met them, and neither had Athena who claimed he was better at it than most divines.
“C’mon, Ammy. You’re not going to let this stop you. Everyone needs you.” he muttered to himself as he hunched over the desk, his back arched. He was on pain killers but they were starting to fade and he was due for a gauze change. His fists were clenched as a wave of pain came over him and he began to sweat a cold sweat as he struggled to stand and breathe. “Mother-!” is all he could get out before slamming his fist on the desk twice and tenting it in the process.

All of this was such an enormous and unnecessary mess. Why, when everyone was finally returned from the cleanse and had a chance to begin anew, the first thing they do is prepare for war? Sure, this wasn’t technically a war now but every sign Amadeus saw only seemed to indicate that it would become one and Amadeus knew pattern recognition - It’s kind of his thing - but for once he didn’t want to be right. He wanted to be proven wrong so badly. Too bad he knew he was right, and that’s why he took this baby out of storage.
Placing a sizable lock box on his bed in the C.M.B. and going through all the security measures he put in place to keep it out of the wrong hands he open the hermetically sealed chamber with a hiss as it depressurized. Looking down at his golden mace, gifted to him by his old friend Hercules, he began reaching for it but froze. Picking this tool up, no. Picking this weapon up would he had given up on the idea of peace. He’d be taking up a weapon of war to use to keep the world safe and the mutants’ dangerous plan to revitalize their species at bay. The thought of all of this wracked his brain as he began to feel nauseous from the building anxiety. He could feel his pulse quicken as all the probabilities flooded through his head. His veins began to bulge and he just couldn’t take it anymore.
With a roar he bellowed “No!” as he slammed the lock box shut so hard that not only did it break but the ship trembled. In a moment of clarity the smaller Hulk shook his head in shame. "Last thing anyone needs right now is me having a temper tantrum.” Amadeus muttered to himself as he made his way to his door.
“I just need to cool down, get a smoothie and -” Amadeus trailed off as he opened his door only to find Nadia just on the other side. “Oh, uhmm... You heard that, huh?” He asked with a big awkward grin and a forced laugh. “I’m fine, just messed up on my game.” He said with an even staler laugh before pivoting around her and shutting the door preferably before she could see the damaged lock box.

“Sweet idea, and I like that it involves food, but I think we’re passed that point now, Amadeus.” Cindy sighed, running a hand through her hair. “I will take you up on your offer to cook dinner, though. I’m starving.”
Amadeus sighed as he shook hid head. He was so tense about all of this. He was so happy to have everyone back after the cleanse and now he might have to fight Scott? Whatever this was he wanted none of it. “What’s new?” He said in response for her wanting him to make dinner. “It doesn’t have to be too late. They all just need to get over their egos. And yeah, I know it’s ironic hearing that from me. Haha.” He laughed sarcastically.

“Yes, I mean no. Urgh.” Amadeus groaned in frustration. “I was hoping that it wouldn’t have to come out to an all out brawl, y’know? Nadia and I have both been looking into how to solve this and all we need is some more time. We’re going to figure this out. We have to.”
“And what did you think was going to happen? That we would not eventually fight back?”

“Geeze, sorry. I’m normally the one that has to tell people that. Though I never really turn away attention so maybe not.” Amadeus said with a faint and awkward laugh.
“Why don’t you take a picture— it’ll last longer.”

“I get that, trust me.” It was no secret to really anyone in the world that Amadeus lost to his Hulk, went power hungry, tried to take over America, beat down all his super friends, and drained a large chunk of his power to keep control. “What are you doing now? With this so called war everyone is talkin’ ‘bout?”
“I’ve done some terrible shit and now I’m dealing with the consequences the best I can. Isn’t that what anyone would do?”

“Yeah, you about summed it up. They’ve only tried to talk once and they’re already ready to start the smack down.”
“Has anyone thought about how treating this war as inevitable has made it exactly that? It’s a self fulfilling prophecy. We’re on a path now and I don’t think anyone is looking for a way out, which scares the hell out of me.”

“Do we really suck that much that as soon as everyone comes back from the cleanse and we celebrate by trying to go to war all over again?”
“And I thought it was bad enough that we were still getting over everything Thanos did to us. Now we might have another war.”

Lana actually being serious? Guess there were things in the world that could still surprise Amadeus. “That’s definitely heavy, but don’t think of it as a what should you do thing because of how you were born, but what you think is right.”
“Who are you supposed to side with if you’re technically a mutant but you literally don’t know anything about mutants nor have you ever hung out with them?”

“No offense, but is what’s making you do that actually the ethics of the situation?”
“It should be obvious. Not only have the mutants and Inhumans never got along but what they’re doing is unethical. The Inhumans will stand with the Avengers officially.”

“Is that before or after they notice that you’re green and really tall?” Erik joked back.
He couldn’t help but laugh. “Yeah yeah, that’s a good point. Don’t think anyone’s ever been confused by what I can do other than asking why the Hulk shrunk or why I’m ‘suddenly Asian’.”
